Mini report, as online time aboard is per minute:

Welp, I'd more say there hasn't exactly been a lot to post about. To misquote the line on the DVC website, can I fire them now?

Here's the big secret, it's the recycled cruise. The theme is again 'Inspirations' and cms were wearing polos from a number of the past cruises, there's not exactly a lot of any new ground here.

Our main guest is Judy Kuhn who is known to Disney fans as the singing voice of Pocahontas.

Secondary guests;

Kathryn Beaumont, voice of Alice in Alice in Wonderland and Wendy in Peter Pan
Bill Farmer, current voice of Goofy and some others.

And Don 'Ducky' Williams, not to discount him as he is a great representative of the artists of Disney, but is a regular event guest onboard DCL outside of the Member Cruises.

Kathryn and Bill had a panel together in the Buena Vista Theater, it was more fun with Bill covering his more extensive work outside of Disney, he only contracts to Disney, he also does voice acting for other companies.

We also get an advance screening of the Bluray Snow White out next month up on the Dumbotron, which, honestly if you havn't watched something up on it, it's like watching thru a window screen. Yippee.

And the gifts follow the recycled theme with the same mini satchel with nearly the same gifts as last year the first day, a nice book called Disney Lost and Found the second day, and today a sericel of the Princess from Princess in the Frog.

Translation: the gifts are seriously lacking, sofar.

So, we're out here enjoying a 4-day cruise, that really DVC hasn't done all that much to enhance our enjoyment of as of yet.

The group of Disers are doing far more than DVC. :)

Just wanted to say thank you for the mini report as I was so hungry to know what was happening. Hope the rest of the cruise goes better for you..Have fun on CC. MARIANNE

Wow, how disappointing. I am glad you are having a good time. Anyday out at sea is better than a day in land...

Has there been any annoucement for when the cruise is next year???

That's a shame, the last two we were on were great with the entertainers!! Enjoy CC any way and just have funa and relax!!

Thanks for the updates! I'm so anxious to hear the new dates but been trying to be quite cause I know in order to hear those that would mean your trip is coming to an end. Don't wish that for no one!!

Bad timing so close to D23 Expo, it seems. They got all the primo people there.

We've made it home. It was great meeting many of you and we love the FE gifts that just kept showing up. Now I just have to figure out what to do with all of these magnets between now and the next cruise.

I'll let someone else post details of the cruise for those who were not able to make it. I need a nap.

We were home by 9:30 this morning. Being as we had not eaten for 3 whole hours, we had to stop at McDonald's to grab more food:rotfl2:

The Fish Extenders were so much fun for us. We really enjoyed coming back to our room and seeing how creative all of you are!. We hope everyone enjoyed the tubes of glow stick bracelets we sent out. I will try to do something more creative next time! If we missed anyone, please let me know! I will be glad to mail them to you.

As for the Cruise, we had a huge setback on sunday morning when my stepfather (DSF) passed out. My mom called me, and I had her call 911. He was admitted to the hospital. At 1pm that sunday he was insisting that we still go on the cruise. He was doing better, the stroke workup was negative, so we drove up through blinding rainstorms and barely made it onboard. We arrived to late for the meet at 3pm.

I will admit, we kept a low profile for the cruise, I missed having my parents on board to share everything with them. I used the "Cellular-at-Sea" service a lot. I'm not excited about seeing that bill. So to make this rambling story short, my DSF became the proud owner of his very own pacemaker on Tuesday. He was released from the Hospital on Wednesday.

We are going to get together now, The DVC club gave us all of their gifts to bring home to them. I am also giving them the FE gifts!

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet everyone. But thank you all for making our trip more memorable with the FE's!

Hey Barb and Ray!, I hope you made it home safe. I will be dreaming of Palo dinners!

Hi All! Just wanted to say the cruise was great-as all Disney cruises are-but have to say I was disappointed with the theme and talent too...and this is my 1st members cruise. I loved seeing Bill Farmer as I am a HUGE Goofy fan but I have seen Ducky before on a past cruise so it didn't seem too "exclusive" and I agree that D23 ate into our "onboard talent"-they poorly planned these two events too close together-and since next year's cruise is the same timeframe (Sep 12-16th) I assume it will run into the same issues with D23 again....

We did get a beautiful clock on the last night-and some cool pins-I wonder if that Snow White pin was exclusive for the cruise? Anyone know?

Oh if anyone got random candy in their fish extenders on Decks 6 or 7 that was me! I had loads of it from the Halloween party at WDW the Friday before-thought I would pass out some treats to people!! Hope you all enjoyed!!!

P.S. Also did NOT like the "Drawn to Vacation" sales presentation...the event said it was a montage of animation, did not realize I was going to an hour long sales pitch....

We just got to Jacksonville(my brothers house). The gifts were kind of disapointing, guest not as good as last year. We did add on again and are booked for next year :cool1:.

Also we won one of the $500 gift cards for the member challenge in the disney files magazine. Nice surprise at the end of the trip. :rotfl::rotfl:

Overwelmed by the amount of stuff form the FE's this year. Thanks to everyone for the interesting gifts(havent gone through them all yet but all look great).

Thanks, we did make it home, or to our second home, Vero Beach and enjoying the hot muggy weather here.
It was nice meeting you Eon (spelled correctly?) we enjoyed the times we were able to spend with you. It's good to hear your DSF is doing alright.

Has there been any annoucement for when the cruise is next year???

Next year's cruise is Sept. 12 - 16.

I got home earlier today and had a great time. I didn't meet as many of the Disers as I would've liked though. I missed the Promanade Lounge meet the first day, so I kind of felt out of the loop after that.

I did run into Robbie briefly before the Castaway Club party, but then she disappeared in the crowd when we were all filing in.

Thankfully I sat near Dave and Tanya (manascarfan) at dinner. They were just a ton of fun. We were at a table by ourselves each night because our tablemates never showed up. So Dave was nice enough to include us on some of the conversation since we were looking a little pathetic over there all by our lonesome. I'm very much looking forward to meeting up with them again on the TA next year.

And the last night at dinner I finally ran into Monika and Mike (Time4DisneyNow). They have got to be one of the nicest couples ever. We were standing in line for Parrot Cay and Monika recognized me. We chatted for a few minutes, but it seemed like we had already known each other for years. I found myself wishing we had more time to talk.

I'm so sorry I didn't meet more of our Dis friends. I can't believe I never got to say hi to Mary, Mark or Flo. I really wanted to thank them for all of their hard work.

And the FE gifts.....OMG!! I SOOOOO underestimated the FE gifts. The kids had such a blast coming back to the room each night to find the little suprises. And some of you guys went way overboard! I couldn't believe the time and thought that went into those gifts. I was so touched by them. It really added to the experience. Thank you to EVERYONE who participated. (And I'm feeling like a bit of an underachiever with my "Cruise Care Kit", but I'll make sure to ramp things up a bit next year!) We have a huge bag of things to go through since we didn't even get around to opening them all. The time just went by too quickly.

I hope everyone enjoyed their time on the ship. I had a blast and was thankful for every minute I had there!
