Mary,

Not to sound stupid. But why is the British version so much better/ The Choclate? Just woundering.

It is all in how they make it. I think the British version uses more cream which is a higher fat count then what we use in the states. Fell in love with it when I was in London back in 1989. So we always make a visit to the Twinings Tea Shop (which I also LOVE!) and pick up some Cadbury. Love the buttons that come in both milk chocolate and white chocolate (for Mark).

If you were closer I would share some of my birthday cake with you that DH brought me. It is chocolate cake with chocolate icing. DS and I had some after dinner and it was delish. He had chocolate all over his face and kept saying "I like chocolate." He is a boy after my own heart.

Marsha,

That is so cute! Did you take a picture of his face.

Hey did anybody see the cute picture of DS that I posted earlier! Or didn't you all go back that far??? Sorry - prejudice - I just think he's so cute!! :lmao:

Marsha - this is my favorite!!!!!! My Mom always made me a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting for my Birthday. And to this day, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :rotfl:

I did not know they has a Twinings Tea shop there. DO you pick up tea?

Congrats to Sue on the :bride:

Congrats to Flo on the pirate:

I am sooooooo p.o'd. right now. I just spent an hour doing responses and my computer decides not to cooperate and they are all lost. And there was stuff I really wanted to say and comment on and now it is gone. And I can't remember what I said now. :headache::headache::headache:

For one thing, thank you all for your nice comments. You are all so kind. I can't wait to meet you.

We are doing the waverunner thing for our excursion on Monday at like 11:00. Hope DH doesn't throw me off the thing cuz I'll never be able to climb back on :lmao:

Love parasailing. You all will have a blast! Enjoy.

Congrats to the :bride: and pirate: winners.

Joanne - I'm with you on Serenity Bay and Bloody Mary's! :yay:

Thanks Dianne for letting us know about your SIL. Better luck next time!

Lisa - congrats to you!

I know I had more and better responses, sorry I lost them. :sad1:

No worries; we've all had stuff like that happen, but it is so frustrating when you lose all those thoughts.

Chris, you are so right. When I met Joanne in Feb. we gave each other a big hug. My family was looking at us like we were crazy and wondering who was this woman I was hugging. It felt like we were friends who had not seen each other in a long time.

Absolutely! I really felt like you are a friend, Marsha. It was great meeting your family; they were so sweet (and mostly tall! I've gotten pretty used to the sensation of standing in a deep hole: DH is 6'4" and one of my DSonILs is 6'7".).

My DH thinks I am bringingto may tops. How many in general would you bring. I don't want to over pack. I also want to leave space for the DVC items.

thanks
flo
:surfweb:

Congrats on the pirate.

I am struggling with what too pack to. I am trying not to bring too many clothes but I am having issues. Can I wear dressy capris to dinner? I am having such a hard time finding summer dresses. Since I am in suits during the work week, I do not have too many dresses. I like to be casual on the weekends.

I think I will end up bringing at least 5 tops. But, I don't know.

Yep I saw it. And let me tell you, I'm glad my 13 year old daughter won't be traveling with us! :rotfl: That could mean trouble! :lmao: Just kidding.

Congrats to Sue on the :bride:

Congrats to Flo on the pirate:

From me too!!!!!

It is the thatched roof cottage right across from the walk up Fish & Chips stand. We don't buy tea there most of the year as we can get it close to home (or in case boxes from good friends) but we do pick up the special Christmas Tea when we are down at holiday time.

I did the same thing. When I first went to England with our scout exchange is 2004, I had the chocolate there and it was fantastic. They also make a dark chocolate, they call it plain chocolate, and there is a special one that they only sell in the Tower of London and Windsor Castle. I brought quite a few of them home. Then our friends from the exchange visited and stayed with us when the husband had business last October, and she brought an entire suitcase full of different Cadburys for all of us who had been back over in 2008. It is terrific stuff!! Mary, did you ever try the Cadbury chocolate for hot chocolate - it is to die for!! :worship:

I did and he is a cutie. I didn't realize they gave out the beach balls in 2005 as well but then we didn't hit the beach early that cruise. :)

I haven't tried the hot chocolate...we'll have to try that. Sounds yummy!

We have been in the tea shop but have never bought the chocolate. We will have to try it. Thanks for the advice.
