Hello All! Just checking in before I call it a night. The kids are home until tomorrow for Easter break so it was a busy day around here with trying to work and hang out with them.

The big news of the day is that Kyle broke his arm this evening at the baseball field while getting ready for the game. :sad2: They were running backwards across the field during warm ups and Kyle somehow tripped or lost his balance and landed on his left arm and wrist. I wasn't even there yet. We live across from the field so it makes it so convenient that he can just walk over by himself.

Lauren was getting her shoes on then we were heading out the door. It was 15 minutes before the game started and the phone rang. I saw one of the coaches names come up on the caller id. I just knew that was not a good sign. :scared:

The doctor referred to it as a 'buckle' fracture. The ulna was broken across right below the wrist and 'buckled' in as he referred to it. Kyle has to go back on Thursday for a regular cast once the swelling goes down. He may only need the cast on for 4 weeks.

Lauren was such a great helper. :flower3: I gave her the car key and had her take Kyle over to the car while I gathered up his things. She patted and rubbed his head all the way to the hospital whenever he cried. She got to help the doctor put on the temporary cast. She was very proud.

As for the weekend, glad to see everyone had a nice time.
Chris: The eggs were very cute.
Cathy: That sounds like such fun. I can not imagine decorating and hiding 25 dozen eggs but I am sure you have helpers. The idea is really great though.

They're calling for rain the next two days so I need to go out and pick up a few things before I go to bed. Have a nice week.

Lisa

Lisa,

Poor Kyle!:sad2: Hope it is only 4 weeks. It is going to be hard for him not to be able to play baseball. I also know what you mean about seeing the coaches number on your caller id and knowing it is not a good sign. That happend to us when my son played high school ball. You know you have to pick up the phone but scared to hear what happend on the other end. Her is some pixiedust:pixiedust: for Kyle and some for you topixiedust:.

Lauren good job.:thumbsup2 You are a great sister.

We had the rain here yesterday and we have it today. It is also cold here. It is only going to be in the 40's. BUt at least it is not snow.

Take care

I haven't been on the boards for a while. Hi, everyone. We leave for WDW on May 2...I can't wait...staying in new Kidani village.

I just discovered the pod cast here and have been listening to the archives. I am technically challenged and finally figured it out. It's better than watching tv!

Refresh my memory...what is the date the Castaway Club members can start to book on line for our cruise?

And if anyone knows, what is the present time line for making dining reservations at WDW...it was 90 days, 180 days, 60 days, I am so confused.

Have to catch up on everyone's posts...just read about the broken arm...we are an accident prone group, you know?

Makayla, my granddaughter to the left, finished her photo shoot for the costume catalog she will be in...and it was a disaster! You get a few 4 year olds together who are only children, and ugh...what a couple days. This other little girl was dressed like a bumble bee and Makayla was dressed like a lady bug. They were supposed to pose together...the bumble bee was crying because she didn't want to be a bee...Makayla, of course, had to bring to her attention she was a lady bug...and then the bee said she had a stinger and kept bumping into Makayla...a fight ensued. they had to take their pictures separately and photo shop them together..can you imagine? They also put her in a monkey costume which was really cute and photo shopped her hanging from a tree. It is amazing what they can do...

Now for the kicker...I am embarrassed to say this...she has a bad habit of picking her nose and putting it in her mouth...oh yuk...well, she was waiting for direction from the designer and the photographer caught her doing this and took a bunch of pictures of her....he was laughing, thought it was hilarious...I told my daughter that one day she will walk into Hallmark store and see a picture of Makayla looking at her boogers on her little finger "I picked this one just for you"....I have 3 little grandsons and none of them does this...leave it to the girl.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Blessings, Susan:tinker:

Susan.

Hi! Gald to see your post.

WDW is sure coming up fast. That is going to be so much fun.

I photo shoot of kids that young can not be an easy thing. The costumes sound cute. What catalog is she going to be in?

For those who have not booked their flights yet....just wanted to let you know that Southwest is now booking through October 31st. Michael booked our flights this morning.:thumbsup2 We arrive in Orlando at 10:20 am on Saturday, Sept. 12th. We will be at the Boardwalk at lunchtime.:cheer2:

Have a great day. :)

We started doing this in 1989. We have since moved to a different neighborhood, but go back to the old one to deliver eggs to a few people. We have been delivering eggs to one family since their youngest was born. She is now in her second year of college. She still doesn't know who the Easter Bunny is. It is a lot of fun!

Only a few of our neighbors have small children. Most of our neighbors are elderly, but they love waking up to the eggs. They all say that the first thing they do is look to see if the Easter Bunny made a visit.

Have a great evening!!

Cathy

That is so neat Cathy. It's great to see you have kept up the tradition. And for the people not to know who is doing it, what a special treat. You all will have such special memories of it.

Lisa: So sorry to hear about Kyle's arm. Especially since the season is just getting started. Hopefully he will be able to enjoy the season anyway. And isn't it nice to see siblings step up to the plate when the chips are down. Way to go Lauren! I know my girls fight like crazy but if one was hurt, the other would be right there for them.

And thanks for the compliment on the girls' eggs. They had fun doing them this year.

Susan: Lucky you to be leaving for WDW May 2nd. We leave on June 5th and can't wait. We are staying at SSR. Love that place!

Thanks for asking about the date as to when we can start booking. I'm putting Mary's answer on the calendar so we can try and book.

As for dining reservations, it is the 90 day. We weren't able to make ours for June until the 90 day mark. I do believe a few places may still be the 180 days, but I'm not sure. I know I tried to get Cinderella's Table for breakfast one day while we will be there and couldn't. They told me they were booked for that time. And I called on the 90 day mark. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

90 day booking (for castaway club members) day is 6/15/09

75 day booking (for new cruisers) day is 6/30/09

Putting it on my calendar!

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Tuesday.:wave2:

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

I get a day away from the office today. A co-worker (who is also a good friend) and I are off to a seminar for the new software we are implementing. Should be a good day to network with other Chicago area companies and hopefully learn a few new things.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

It looks to be a pretty nice day here. In the high 50's today and the 60's the next couple. We will see.

Mary - Have fun at the seminar today.

Well we are getting closer and we seem to have stalled talk wise and lost some of our regular posters. So now might be a good time for some questions. Some for new cruisers, some for repeat cuisers. Have fun!

Have you been on a Disney cruise before?

If no:

What have you read about that you can't wait to see or try?

What one question have you had that you just didn't know where or how to ask? (we're here to help)

If yes:

What was one of your favorite memories of the cruise?

What one thing have you done that you definitely want to do again?

What one thing haven't you done that you want to try this time?

Good morning everyone...its off to work I go. Its begining today with a suprise wedding shower for a guy in the computer room:lovestruc. His father works there also. And I have known him since he was itty bitty little boy. It should be fun for about a half hour. And then I must really work.

I wasn't even thinking about the hour time difference. Thanks for the reminder Mary.

Flo - we can still keep each other awake till 11:00 then. I'm usually in bed by 9:30. Lucky if I can make it through the news at 10:00!

Have a great Wednesday! :flower3:
