Suit cases are out & clothes are out. Now all I need to do is pack, ugh can't the clothes just jump in the suit cases. Where is Mary Poppins when you need her.

Well, she's not at our house....we're in the same boat as you.... (no pun intended.....)

Where is everybody???

We got off the ship 1st thing one morning and were first on the beach. Isn't it so peaceful?????? Plus we go clear down on the family beach by the bathrooms.

It is recommended to bring one. We never do and have a heck of a time. But we don't want to check more than one bag since it costs to check bags now. So what we have done in the past is if we can get it off the ship once we get to our resort we ask for a box and then we are able to ship the stuff home. Worked pretty slick last year and was cheaper than checking a bag both ways on the airplane.

I think that is a smart move to ship it back. If we weren't driving, I would copy your idea.

EVERYYEAR THEY GIVE DIFFERENT THINGS. IF THERE IS 5 IN YOUR CABIN YOU WILL GET 5 OF THE SAME THING. For example one year we got empty shadow boxes as one gift, you will get 5 since you have 5 in your cabin. If they give those kids hard plastic MICKEY cases for kids you will get 5. If you are driving you dont need to worry about space as much. We are flying after we leave WDW so weight and space is critical We usually buy 4 bottles of RUM on the ship also.

I'm going to bring a extra bag just to be on the safe side. We still have to pack the truck smart as there are 5 of us. I'm thinking of going outside and wishing upon a star to see if the suit cases and the truck and get packed.

We might see each other in line because I'm going to try to book Palo's for brunch. I wonder if their private dining room is booked. I don't have enough people for that anyway. Oh, well. Here's hoping I am able to get a reservation.

We've got ressie's for 7pm on Sunday, but we're going to stop up at the desk on ship to see if there's ANY openings for the brunch....

But if not, we won't be sad!!!

THERES THOSE KIDS CASES, WE PUT THEM IN THE SUITCASES AND STUFF THEM WITH OTHER STUFF. WE GIVE OURS TO MY SONS STEP KIDS

I will say that I liked dinner way better than the brunch. Just my opinion. I hope you all enjoy your experiences there. It really is a remarkable place to eat. And very romantic if it is just two of you!

Hi all!! LOVE the photos - I am sooo ready to go!! I finished my pirate costume today and am nearly done with DD6 Pocohantas - I was going to go to the Disney store today but thought I should save some time and money and just make it - JoAnn's had all their patterns on sale for $1.99!!!

I know you don't want the cases, but as a 1st timer I hope they give the cases. They look so cute in the pictures.

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer. They are really cute and we appreciate all that we receive. And if we had little kids they would be great for them. Just after receiving them twice for us and I know they also had them on the 2008 cruise, it would be nice to receive something different.

Yes, the DIS meet at the Promenade on Sunday at 3PM is still on. I'm not sure about a get together Saturday at WDW...but I know a bunch of people are getting together Thursday night at BLT to watch the fireworks.

OK, so I have seen a few posts about people not needing/wanting (or having room for) all of the gifts they receive from DVC/DCL.

So, I'm just throwing this out there: if anyone has any extra's that they don't want, I'd be MORE than happy to take them off your hands. We're leaving the kids at home and I feel a little guilty! I'll be in stateroom 6596 (in case there are any donors )
