IM A PIN COLLECTER, AND WHEN WE WENT DOWNSTAIRS UNDER MAGIC KINGDOM THEY HAD HUNDREDS OF PINS MOUNTED IN LARGE FRAMED SHADOW BOXES ON THE WALL. PLUS WE WENT PAST THE ROOM WHERE THEY KEEP THE PINS. THEY WOULDNT LET MEGO IN THERE TO HELP MYSELF:rotfl2:

DISNEY CRUISES ARE MORE CASUAL THAN SOME OTHERS WE HAVE BEEN ON. YOU COULD WEAR YOUR 3 IN PIRATE PUMPS:rotfl2:

IVE DONE THE KTTK TOUR 4 TIMES AND I WILL KEEP DOING IT:cool1: I HAVENT DONE THE BACKSTAGE TOUR BUT I WANT TO. MIGHT DO IT WHEN WE COME DOWN IN DEC. FUNNY IVE HAD THE SAME TOUR GUIDE A COUPLE OF TIMES. I TEASE HIM. FOR SOME REASON HE REMEMBERED ME.:rotfl2: HE WAS VERY GOOD. STILL LEARN THINGS EACH TIME.

I just re-read the description on my pirate boots and the heel is actually 3 3/4" :scared1: Definitely not wearing them to dinner :lmao: I will be lucky enough to walk around on Pirate Night without stumbling...note to self: no rum on pirate night

We had a guy named Matt twice and he was AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2 We had a lady once and I don't remember her name, she was ok. Yeah, I like that each time I learn more stuff :thumbsup2

terrie i forget where you go for backstage magic tour and where they take you.

We went to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom if I remember correctly.

 Hi everyone! I've been soooo busy this week I haven't gotten a whole lot of DIS time in and I'm going through withdrawals!!! :rotfl:

Yesterday while I was at work (at a mortgage company) one of the realtors we work with called me to talk about her upcoming DISNEY CRUISE!! Imagine my excitement when I got to carry on a DISNEY conversation while I was at work! :yay: She's taking her kids and grandkids on a 7 night on October 16th. She's really excited. It's their first Disney Cruise!!!!

Well, gotta run. It's Bunco night and my ride just pulled up. Wish me luck! :thumbsup2

We would love to do the Keys tour but our youngest DD is not old enough. We didn't even imagine they had an age limit on the tour. She is 14 and I believe you have to be at least 16. Which is a bummer because she really wants to do it. Once we saw that she was too young we stopped looking at the rest of the details. And our youngest looks older than our oldest daughter who is 17. Go figure. Guess we will have to wait till it is just us on a trip or Brooke gets old enough. :rolleyes1

So cool to have Disney conversations at work. Makes the day just a little better.

And good luck at Bunco.

What is Bunco???????

Hi all!!! It has been quiet again today. Bunco? Yes I would like to know too.

Chris too bad about Brooke - I guess they want the "magic" to live as long as possible!!!

Good Morning - we are recovering from a storm - we were lucky - 2 of my sisters are without power - not expected to be stored until 5pm today. when I talked to one last night she said "I would love to have a beer, but you know we don't want to opent he fridge!!" :rotfl::rotfl: I said OPEN IT - after all that you NEED a drink!!!

I hope to work on my FEs again today - I am off today and tomorrow - tomorrow I am going to go suitcase shopping - hopefully find something on clearence.

Thanks Nikki. It is a bummer because I think she is mature for her age. But I understand. Just have to wait a while.

CANT FIND ONE ANYWHERE!! I BOUGHT THAT JACKET ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AT OKW. LIKED THE COLOR. ITS NOT WATERPROOF, IT REACHES SATURATION POINT IN RAIN. I KEEP ASKING THEM TO MAKE WHITE JACKETS WITH LOGO. THEY USUALLY ONLY HAVE THOSE DARK GREYISH OR BLACK JACKETS WITH I THINK GREY LOGO. IVE HAD A TEAR REPAIRED ON SLEEVE AND NEW BUTTONS PUT ON CUFFS, JUST BECAUSE I CANT GET ANOTHER JACKET:confused3 BECAUSE OF THAT JACKET OR HAT IVE HAD DIFFERENT PEOPLE APPROACH ME TO TALK ABOUT DVC.

Bunco is a dice game. There are eight people playing. You play with three dice...first game you strive to roll "1"s on the dice. If you roll three "1"s then you got a bunco and that round is over. Then you roll for "2"s. You play 23 rounds. It doesn't sound like much fun, but it's more of a social event than anything. We eat dinner and catch up on what everyone has been doing. We meet once a month on the first Wednesday of every month.

Hello All! Haven't been on as much because we were in NC attending DH's cousin's funeral. It was his mother's (she will be cruising with us) first cousin but they were more like sisters.

It was a qucik but long trip. We had a blowout going. Something fell from a truck and slashed our rear right tire. DH was on the side of 95 South changing a flat. We have AAA but it was quicker to do it ourselves. So, yesterday we had to get a new tire before the drive back. We got home this morning and had to head to work. I am exhausted.

Good Morning.

Terrie - I too love to read. I enjoy to read Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, etc. type books. My daughters talked me into the Twilight Series and it was pretty good. Not sure what, if anything, I will bring on the cruise though. I have a hard time reading when I could be people watching ;).

I enjoy people watching too. I say I am going to read on the cruise but never do.

I'm getting so excited for the cruise but I have to keep tempering myself. I'll be in DL in two weeks! So I really should be more excited about that. And while I'm very happy to be going I find my mind drifting to cruising more often. But I finally did my dining reservations for DL yesterday. We're only there for 1 and a 1/2 days though so we won't be doing much. I guess I should spend some time refamiliarizing myself with those parks since I have WDW memorized. Maybe that will get me more worked up for the early trip. But I can be sure when we get back I'll be all over cruise planning and packing! :woohoo::yay:
I am getting more and more excited about the cruise too. At least you get to have a Disney fix before the cruise. Enjoy DL.

:goodvibesOh I meant to mention we got our ME tags today!:dance3:
:cool1:

WE GOT OUR ME TAGS ALSO TODAY:cool1:

Good Morning everyone - we are halfway to the weekend and of course a little closer to cruising:yay::yay::yay:!!!

Terrie - DH has read weveral of the more business related Disney tales - I know Disney Wars was one he really enjoyed - he likes the behind the scenes stuff and I like to live in "Magicland":rotfl2::rotfl2: I prefer reading ones about how LOVELY everything DIsney is!!!

OH NO ..... I didn't even think about REAL shoes for dinner - we aren't doing Palo - are my Crocs flip flops acceptable?? Seriously this is all I take with me to Disney - I have never had a problem with my feet or legs (I have even wearing running shoes). If not - off to the Crocs outlet to find a pair that looks more like dress shoes!!!
Your Croc flip flops should be fine.

Good Morning. Need to get back on page one! :)

Congrats on getting the ME tags. Wish we would get ours. But I wonder, since we are only using the ME after the cruise back to the airport from BLT, if we will get them before we go or once we get to BLT? Last year we got them at the Poly. Huhhhhhh, I wonder? :confused3

And, when will we be getting our cruise documents do you think? DH keeps saying any day now we should be getting them. I just keep telling him, yep, any day now. :rolleyes1
Last year, we received our cruise docs around the third week of August. I think I received my docs around on or near my b-day (Aug. 26).

I love "Magicland" too but I also love behind the scenes. Knowing how things run makes me seem to appreciate the magic all the more. I discovered this when I went on my first Keys To The Kingdom tour. I LOVE behind the scenes tours :worship: We've done KTTK 3 or 4 times and Backstage Magic once. I will definitely be doing them again.

Since this is our first DCL cruise I am not sure how everyone is suppsoed to dress for dinner. I thought I read somewhere that one of the dining nights is a "dressier" night. Quite frankly I'd be happy in flip flops but coming across these dressier sandals, they just screamed CRUISE to me and thought they'd be fun to wear if I have to dress up a bit.

Terrie :)
There is one recommended dress up night on the cruise. Some people choose to dress up and some do not. The characters are dressed up in their finest attire. :)

:cool1: The DCL Document has arrived.:cheer2::dance3:

:yay:

Marsha - so sorry to hear about your MIL's cousin and the frustrating experience you had on the way down there. I'm glad you made it there and back safely...so many times people don't pay attention on the highways and it can turn into an ugly situation with a vehicle in an emergency stop.

This has been such an "off" week on our thread!!! Nobody's been on constantly like usual. I think everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of Summer. :sad1: There are things I like about every season, but I like EVERYTHING about Summer! So I'm always so sad when school is getting ready to start because I know the warm sunny days are coming to an end.

I see there a few of us on. Anyone up for a :bride: and pirate: run???

Happy tomorrow is Friday

21 bottles of rum on the wall. 21 bottles of rum. Snow White drank one got us closer to none....

TGIF! Today is DH's Friday since he has off tomorrow. Does anyone have any plans for the weekend?
