Don't forget that on August 19 the tickets for the 2011 D23 Expo in California go on sale. I am hoping they will announce the dates for Sip n Stroll during F&W in WDW this year soon. Also hoping they do the Magic and Merriment in December also in WDW!

I know! I can't beleive it

Wally and I are talking about staying at WDW after the cruise as well. We are waiting on a resale contract right now that has gone to Disney for ROFR. We were going to add on on the cruise but when the rumors started that prices were going up on July 1st we decided to look for a resale. Please send us pixiedust: so that they let us buy it. If all goes through we will have the points to stay after the cruise. If there is availability at BLT we will make ressies there and join the pirate: costume party with you all :thumbsup2

pixiedust: to you on getting through ROFR.

Terrie and Ian you two crack me up. I'll send Erik your way for drinks then Terrie! Although I already have both him and I hooked on some ice cream and chocolate drink they serve on board. I forget the name though. I don't really drink but for that I would make an exception. Maybe I'll have to have Erik hang out at the pool with a few of those during the day leading up to Pirate night! ;)

Ohh I love Dismeets. Oh wait I missed the last one I planned on. But I love the idea of Dismeets! What's better then hanging out with other people who don't think I'm crazy for talking Disney! I've been to a non-disboard Dismeet and that was pretty cool. Either way I still say taking over the BLT lounge is a great plan - costumes optional of course.

Ian, Erik would probably have enjoyed meeting Vince greatly. He likes football and fantasy sports so much that he's now an officially published sports writer. He's been a writer for some time but only recently expanded into officially writing sports. Needless to say I'm a little proud of him.:goodvibes He once spent an entire evening sitting in a restaurant bar talking to a retired NHL player - I forget who. Erik can talk sports like I talk Disney. Terrie it's OK if you don't know football. I know ita bit but unless it is the Eagles I tend to only half pay attention.

Good night everyone. It's past my bedtime and I can hear my pillow calling :cloud9:

I think the thing that will most loosen Erik up for Pirate night is a few drinks! :goodvibes I love the costume store idea I bet that will be fabulous. I may dress up if I can convince myself I will wear it without Erik dressing up too. And if I can find it in the budget.

Well Erik, and me to a lesser degree, are Eagles fans. It comes in our blood. No matter how much they live to disappoint us. And it seems like this year has the potential to be up there in the disappointment scale. But he's also a fantasy football person so he can get into any game.

Terrie :wizard: coming your way! Anyone who is at BLT is more then welcome it's not really organized or anything.

I am an Eagles fan too. Living in the DC area is tough. I am in Redskins country. I cannot even imagine McNabb wearing a Redskins uniform. :scared1:

Thank you Marhsa!

Oh your drink sounds better than my drink! I want one :) I'll just point at yours and say I'll have what she's having :thumbsup2

Yes, I agree. Us crazy people need to stick together. If we get ressies at BLT I will totally do the costume thing and I think DH would too (and then go change later).

Oh I don't mind not speaking the language. DH is Vietnamese so I am used to visitng my inlaws, smiling and having no idea what is being said :rotfl2: DH is used to visiting my family and going through the same thing if we are speaking Spanish . Although, Wally's grasp of Spanish is better than my grasp of Vietnamese :rotfl:

Ok I am off to bed for real now :cloud9:

Terrie :)

You and your husband sound like my neighbors. He is Vietnamese and his wife is Mexican. It was very interesting when we attended their daughter's birthday party.

OH MY GOSH!!! I am away from my computer for ONE DAY and I come back tonight and find TEN NEW PAGES OF POSTS!!!!!??????? Talk about a chatty group!!!! I didn't even stand a chance to get the next :bride: or pirate: Jeez! :rotfl:

  1. When will you start packing for the cruise?
  2. What are your must pack items for the cruise?
  3. What do you pack in your carry-on or day bag that you bring on the ship with you?

I'll probably start packing at the beginning of August. I'll pack and then unpack and then pack again. And finally the week before we leave I'll unpack everything and pack it all again. I guess I get so excited that I pack early. Then I get nervous that I didn't pack everything so I unpack and pack again.

My must pack items....well I think we determined that after my nightmare the other night! :lmao: Laptop, camera, FE & FE gifts. And I'll add to it...bathing suit, Disney Crocs, and door magnets.

Carry on bag contains bathing suit OR change of clothes if I wear my bathing suit, camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, cell phone, passports, return flight info (Southwest is paperless, so I don't have to worry about the tix, just have to know time of flight) travel itinerary.

I have learned from my last sruise not to carry too much onboard with me since I have to carry it around. So, this time, I will pack my laptop, camera, sunglasses, sunblock, travel documents & passport. DS will be wearing his swimsuit and will have a change of clothes and underwear. (He is finally starting to use the potty regularly.)

Yeah, last cruise I had WAY too much with me. But, I was carrying everything for a family of four. This time won't be so bad since it will just be me and DH.

 YAY for your DS on the potty training!!!!!!!

Thanks Ian and Marsha. I kinda thought it would still be warm thought I should ask. Should it get cool I'm sure we can purchase a new cruise line sweatshirt;)

We are actually on vacation now Wednesday the 7th. Left the Chicago area today taking a very long ride to Disney. We are visiting family in Cleveland and Virginia and attending a wedding there. Then off to Delaware for more family then we have about 5 days to get to Disney. So we will sight see and take our time driving down the coast. Our reservation starts at BC on the 19th for 5 days then off to our home at BLT for a week. Love ll the family but we are very excited to see Mickey too!:)

Sounds like you have one awesome vacation planned! Have fun, and drive safe!!! By the way...we're nearly neighbors....I'm in NW Indiana, just 45 miles southeast of the big city!!

Pirate Costume Update: I found a place that we used to use in High School for costumes that says they will rent me a costume for $90 for the 12 days we will be gone. I can get at least two wearings out of it now that we are going to the MNSSHP the Saturday after we get back. Anyone staying at the BLT want to make it a Pirate Party in the Lounge on Thursday night? pirate:

Oh well I am going down to this shop on Monday night to see what all they have. Another thought is that she actually has the same costume tha they use in the Captain Morgan Advertisements. :scared1:

Happy hump day, we are over the hill and on the way to the weekend even though Shawn and I both have to Work Saturday. Our plants (Chrysler Kokomo) are all down for the next two weeks for summer shutdown and retool so my work gets busy for the next week. ;)

We have dinner reservations Thursday at 7:30 at LeCelier, but we'd LOVE to join in on a Pirate Party in the Lounge!!!! We're practically neighbors with you, too!

Wow you guys have really been posting this week. But now that I've caught up I have some late answers. Though I'm really bad at using the quote thing.

Ian, we will be in WDW in Early Dec for our anniversary. Though probably spending most of our time at BLT. But we want to do EPCOT and MK at least a little.

And we decided to give the glass bottom boat a try too. Since I got so freaked out by the little blue fish while snorkling last time I've decided to only view fishies from inside a boat. Though I'm disappointed that it doesn't sound overly exciting I know we'll both just be happy to be out on a boat for awhile.

I know there aren't a lot of great reviews on the Glass Bottom Boat excursions. But I do have a positive thing to say about them. The one we did had an awesome guide. Even though we didn't see much as far as fish or shipwrecks or anything, we sure had lots of laughs.

Someone could earn a :bride: and/or pirate: tonight if we are really chatty. There are some who wait for the right moment to hop online and get it. :rotfl:

I don't know who in the world you could possible be talking about. I would never do anything like that! :rolleyes1

Ok, I'm going to catch up on the posts on the next couple of pages. (Gotta do a couple at a time or else my post will be two pages long!

hi debbie, i was on the hotline to dcl management again today. I guess we are all set. The day of the cruise you and i have to go to wavebands to see if we can time our brunches together.

Hi Debbie. You can still earn a :bride: or pirate:. We are halfway there now & I see there are still some people online. :)

WE MADE NOTES WITH DINNING RESERVATION THAT YOUR TABLE OF 8 DEBBIE WOULD BE CLOSE TO OUR TABLE. I JUST WONT TELL THE OTHERS AT OUR TABLE THAT I KNOW THE 8 OF YOU . THEN I CAN HAVE THEM WONDERING WHY IM BEING STRANGE WITH PEOPLE THAT THEY THINK ARE STRANGERS TO ME:rotfl2:

I can tell you about brunch. You wouldnt believe what Debbie and i have been thru arranging this:worship: Finally i asked to be put thru to a Booking Manager at DCL. She helped correct everything , now i have hot line to her:rotfl2: So im hoping it is finally all settled.
The 2 of you are with Laura and I, and Anita and Sean(their first cruise)her Dis nickname is Duckie. We are at 1030am but when we board Im going down to Palo booking in Wavebands to see if our times can be the same. Debbie and her group are at 11am.

:worship: to you, Ian. You're the one who spent three hours on the phone with the Booking Manager! I'm sure glad everything has gotten resolved and your original dinner arrangements are the way they should be. I'm sure PALO will be able to accommodate us all into the same time. Maybe all 12 of us should head up there at the same time and threaten to make them walk the plank if they don't change us all to the same time. :rotfl:

where's debbie

I was hosting Bunco at my house tonight. I was probably eating some really yummy chicken pesto pizza that DH made on the grill right at the moment you asked where I was. :rotfl2: (We eat dinner and then play Bunco)

Marsha, thanks. I thought that was the case but wasn't sure. Travel insurance confuses the heck out of me I'm sorry to admit.

You're not the only one who gets confused with travel insurance. I tried checking into it and was so overwhelmed that I just gave up!

Thank you. I had no intention of getting a pirate:. I guess I was typing too slow & DS was climbing on my head. :headache: He thinks he is awrestler now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has kids climbing on me when I'm at the computer! :upsidedow
