My DH and I were so hoping to go to the MNSSHP,but it will not work this year. We arrive 2 days before the cruise and leave 2 days after and not 1 of those days falls on a party night:headache: I felt so good when we bought our plane tickets thinking we should be able to go once..... Oh well maybe next year.
For everyone else that planned better than us I'm sure you will have a great time.:woohoo:

Good Morning All.

I was hoping that MNSSHP would be held either the Friday before or like beeadude stated in an earlier post the Friday after the cruise this year. I am hoping that some dates are added. We will see.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Morning!!
Happy Birthday (belated!!) John!!!
Welcome PINOCCHIO and tap & dap!!!!

Marsha - I had thought about sleeping on the plane - that is plan A - don't know if we need a plan B yet - :rotfl:

Chris - if you are crazy then I am with you:upsidedow!!!! I don't think twice a year is nearly enough - I want to LIVE at WDW!!!!!

Off to buy some food - these people that live with me think we should eat!!:rotfl::upsidedow:rotfl: Then I need to clean up the house - yesterday was my long day - 14 hrs away from home with DH in charge:scared1: yeah - it looks crazy!!!

No way!!! I am crazy for not going this past holiday season. I want to retire and drive one of the boats from WL to MK. :sail: We are so excited about going in June. Maybe it was a good thing to take a break and only go once last year:laughing:. My kids are excited as ever about our June trip. We purchased more points into blt. Wish we would have purchased at AK but boys so want to stay in a MK view room so we voted and BLT was our second purchase.

Has any one gone to the Cirque de show in dtd? I am thinking about surprising family with tickets when we are there in June. I have heard it is awesome but wow is it expensive. I have a teenager now and he is excited to go but fear his excitement will start to go down as he gets older so want to do stuff that he would enjoy before he says dad can I stay home and hang with my friends......:scared1: not ready for that.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome to those that have just joined thread. Ask questions I have learned so much from these great people!!!

Hello All,

So my decision regarding family gathering vs. DVC cruise is on hold at the moment. I am certainly still looking into options like visiting family on Friday and part of Saturday and then flying into Florida on Saturday evening so we can be on the cruise. It just requires flying in different directions ..... certainly doable but a bit more costly and not sure if it will become hectic. This issue was driving me crazy so I decided to just put in on hold for a few days and try to think rationally rather than emotionally. Also DH has been working crazy hours so have not had a chance to talk with him. Hopefully next week we will have some time to chat.

Now, I have another question for those who have been on previous DVC cruises. We are booked for a Cat 4 room and waitlisted for a Cat 3. Do those rooms ever become available or am I getting my hopes up for nothing? I was thinking that maybe they hold those rooms for their special guests and depending on who is coming and how many suites are needed then they open them up to the public. Would love to hear your input.

We have done the Cirque show, and yes - both fantastic and pricey.
There was a pretty good discount (20%?) through DVC that we used - our seats were great!

BTW, I guess I should officially say "Welcome Aboard" as well :)

WE HAVE DONE 3 DVC CRUISES, WE HAVE USUALLY BEEN ON BALCONY. THIS TIME BY THE TIME I GOT THRU I GOT CABIN ON LEVEL 1. I ASKED TO BE PUT ON WAIT LIST FOR CATERGORIES 6 7 or 8. LAST YEAR I WAS TOLD ALL THE WAIT LIST WERE ACCOMMADATED. I WAS JUST ON THE PHONE TODAY TO ASK IF ANYONE HAD CANCELLED. SHE TOLD ME USUALLY A LOT GET CANCELLED AT THE 90 DAY PERIOD. IF WE HAVE TO STAY ON DECK 1 THATS OK . THE MAIN THING IS WE ARE ON THE SHIP. YOUR ONLY IN YOUR CABIN TO SLEEP BASICALLY. I KNOW SOMEONE WHO GOT ONE OF THE HANDICAPPED ROOMS LAST MINUTE EVEN THOU THEY WERENT HANDICAPPED. THEY WERENT TAKEN YET.

Happy Birthday John!!!!

We are on Board Yippee!!!

Can't wait to see you all.

Tom and Diana

:wave2: Welcome aboard!

So this year they get the cruise and no F&W. Sounds like a compromise right? Any one else find this to be a dilema? Or maybe we just go too dang often! ;) I mean, me and DH will be there this weekend and we all four were just there in March. :confused3 Can anyone just have too much Disney? I mean it seems we are there at least once every 3-4 months. Am I crazy?????? :rolleyes1

That sounds like a good compromise to me! Can you have too much Disney? That's a good question. Not that this group here would be biased or anything :rolleyes1 but I am going with, nope, you can't have too much Disney :goodvibes

welcome aboard us 2 we are excited

:wave2: Welcome aboard!!!!

DH and I want to retire there too. I don't care what I do as long as I'm working for the mouse :mickeyjum DH sent me a link on realtor dot com of a house in Kissimmee that is for sale, in the subject line he wrote "Let's move". I told him if he was serious I'd call in sick and start packing

Yes, we have seen Cirque in DTD 4 times now. There is a new act they just added too. Totally worth it and sometimes there are discounts for tier 2 seating. If you subscribe to the mousesavers dot com newsletter they offer a discount through undercover tourist for Cirque tix. Sometimes there are DVC or passholder discounts available and I think I saw a discount recently for Disney Visa card holders.

BTW, I guess I should officially say "Welcome Aboard" as well :)

:wave2: Welcome aboard!!!

Terrie :)

Thank you so much for doing all of this! I'm so excited to be part of this and look forward to reading more about the cruise and getting to know fellow passengers!

We got a category 5 at the last minute in 08, so don't give up hope.

I agree that I wish they wouldn't have moved either the Members Cruise or Food & Wine Fest so that we couldn't enjoy both at the same time like we have done before. It is so hard to try and do both. But somehow DH manages to get us to both. Don't know how. But this year when we go back for F&W we will have to leave the girls at home. They can't miss a whole week for the cruise then more time for F & W. Which they hate because, like us, they love them both. But after last year when we went on the cruise without them but did take them to F&W, they said they wouldn't be left behind for the cruise. So this year they get the cruise and no F&W. Sounds like a compromise right? Any one else find this to be a dilema? Or maybe we just go too dang often! ;) I mean, me and DH will be there this weekend and we all four were just there in March. :confused3 Can anyone just have too much Disney? Chris, I forgot to say "Have a WONDERful and MAGICal time at Disney this weekend." Let us know about the trip when you come back.

So then I have read so much about how crazy the holidays are at WDW and I thought we would stick to our usual plan - parks at rope drop - pool for afternoon - back to parks some of the evenings. We had already decided Fri - Sun we would hang out at the resort and avoid some of the insanity. So others said that even doing that the pools are crazy busy so now I am REALLY worried. Am I nuts? Anyone travel at Easter who can offer advice? It was CRAZY busy when we were there this trip on Fri and Sat - so that is why we decided no parks. HELP!!!!! My cure for PDS is not taking effect!!!

Personally, I am MISERABLE at the parks when it is super crowded. So, if I had the opportunity to celebrate so many events at WDW knowing it would be super crowded....I might just go with no expectations other than just hanging out at the resort(s). Just being on Disney property is sometimes magical! But if you insist on going to the parks, others have mentioned that maybe TGM could help you maximize your time in the parks. Good luck with your planning for that!!

Sorry that your dad lost the election.

Thanks, Marsha!

Have a MAGICAL cruise!!!! And welcome to our thread! Can't wait to hear about your cruise when you get back!

My DW just called and said our lithograph from webcast just came today. Said it is nice. That is good because web cast was boring. lol Then local radio station called and someone nominated us for Little League team of the week and we won. Orioles tickets, t-shirts and food. The dj will come to one of our next games to present us with our prizes. On the radio tomorrow morning for the announcement. My kids are gonna be excited. Ok back to work have to head out to softball and baseball as it is senior night here at school.

Scott

CONGRATS to your Little League team! How exciting!!!

:cool1:HI I WAS WONDERING DO YOU MEAN YOU JUST GOT ON BOARD THE MEMBER CRUISE, IF U DID WERE YOU ON WAIT LIST. MAYBE I WILL CALL DVC WE ARE ALREADY ON BOARD BUT I PUT US ON WAIT LIST TO MOVE UP IF SOMETHING BECAME AVAILABLE.

WE ARE GETTING A WICKED THUNDERSTORM HERE. THE DOG IS HIDING UNDER THE BED AND THATS HARD TO DO FOR A BIG BLACK LAB :rotfl2: ITS BEEN RATHER WARM HERE. WARMEST APRIL IN RECORDED HISTORY FOR HERE. POOL TEMP. IS UP TO 74 TODAY. SKIES ARE CLEAR SO SOLAR WORKS WELL!!! WONT BE LONG BEFORE I CAN RELAX IN THE POOL HOLDING A GLASS OF WINE AND JUST FLOATING

[/SIZE]

Ian - I think they had just boarded the Magic for a 7 night cruise. At least, I think I saw that in their signature. :goodvibes

I hope the storm wasn't too bad. I'm impressed with how quickly the water temp rose in your pool!!! You must have one heck of a solar cover!

Or maybe we just go too dang often! ;) I mean, me and DH will be there this weekend and we all four were just there in March. :confused3 Can anyone just have too much Disney? I mean it seems we are there at least once every 3-4 months. Am I crazy?????? :rolleyes1

No....Chris...there is no such thing as too much Disney! You should know better than to ask a question like that! :lmao:

You weren't the only ones who didn't plan very well. We are flying in on the 11th and flying out on the 18th. Airfare is already booked. I'm kind of bummed, too. Maybe they'll add more dates. Especially if they see how many of us are so bummed that we'll be missing it.

Thank you so much for doing all of this! I'm so excited to be part of this and look forward to reading more about the cruise and getting to know fellow passengers!

WELCOME!!! We've got a great group of people here, and I know we'll all get along great because we are all Disney enthusiasts!!! If you have any questions, ask away....someone on here always seems to have the answers, or knows where to get the answers. :goodvibes
