Glad to hear Bon Jovi Rocked! Sounds like you had a good time.
We like to go take the boat to DTD from SSR. It is a nice little ride. And yes, the walking around SSR is so peaceful. We have walked from the Grandstand area to DTD and it is quite a trek but it is a nice walk. That is as long as it isn't really, really hot out!
Then it gets to be a little much. And the pools, like I have said before we really enjoy the Grandstand area. They have a nice kids water play area with shooting water horses, and sprayer thingy's, a nice pool, a wonderful hot tub and a bar/snack counter that is open during the day (check on the hours of operation cuz I can't remember). Plus it is not to far to walk to Artist Palette and the main pool. It is the first bus stop to get on the bus so you are pretty much guaranteed a seat. Even though you then have to go to the other, what five stops in the resort before you head out to your park, you don't have to stop at any other resort to pick up guests. It is just a SSR bus. Then when you come back to SSR you are the first drop off stop
. Which we love. So that is a big thing for us. There have only been a couple of exceptions to this when we came in the back gate and stopped at the Springs first to drop off.
Don't know why, but like I said, that has only happened like twice since we have been staying there.
We have stayed in the Springs area once and it was a nice area but you had to cross the main street in SSR to get to the main pool and Carriage House. And then we stayed in the Paddock one night and asked if anything was available in the Grandstand area, just because we missed being over there, and lucky for us they were able to move us.
We also like to go have a snack out side of the Turf Club. There is a little area with tables and chairs and you can order drinks and snackies there. We really enjoy doing that.
It is just a very peaceful, relaxing, beautiful resort. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. After all, it is our home away from home!
