1. Are you making advance dining reservations (ADRs)? If so, where and for what meal?

Since we are doing the Wanyama Safari we will be dining at Jiko as part of the package so that ADR is taken care of.

2. What is your favorite restaurant(s) at WDW & why?

Oh boy, that is a tie between Victoria & Albert's and California Grill. The food is great at both as is the service and atmosphere. I like the wine pairings at V & A since it forces me to get out of my comfort zone and try different wines. I like the view at California Grill and the fact that you can close you eyes and point anyplace on the menu and know it will be good!

3. Is there any restaurant at WDW where you would like to dine but haven't?

Raglan Road. Just haven't fit it in yet. We plan to eat at every table service restaurant in WDW.

Terrie :)

HIIIIIIIIIIIIII, MARSHA GREAT SHOTS, LIKE DEBBIE SAID I USED TO GET TEASED ABOUT TAKING PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING, BUT NOW I KNOW IM NOT ALONE. YOUR PHOTO ALBUMS MUST LOOK LIKE MINE. NOW I DEFINATLEY WANT TO EAT THERE FOR BREAKFAST. I HAVE A PhOTO ALBUM FOR EACH PARK, PARADES DVC CRUISES RESORTS AND DISNEY SHIP ITSELF. OH AND HOLIDAY TIMES.

TERRIE IF YOU READ THIS CAN YOU FILL ME IN ON D23. iF ITS EASIER TO POST IT ON MY PRIVATE MESSAGE BOARD FEEL FREE TO DO SO. I JUST FILLED OUT MY APPLICATION TO JOIN FOR THE YEAR AND AM NOT SURE WHAT ITS TOTALLY ABOUT. I KNOW YOU WERE AT AN EXPO WHILE WE WERE AT WDW LAST WEEK, THANKS!!!

PS, WE ALWAYS GO TO RAGLAN ROAD, LIKE THE ATMOSPHERE IM PART IRISH

My family still thinks that I am crazy for taking pictures of food but they are learning to accept it. :rotfl2: DH, while we are on last year's members cruise, knew I had to take pictures of the meal so he would just wait to eat. By the end, he was taking pictures of his own food if I was not ready to take the picture.

I am looking forward to trying out Raglan Road one of these days.

Sure thing. I'll post here in case anyone else is interested in D23. With the membership (the gold one) you get the quarterly magazine which is really nice. It has lots of articles about the parks, imagineers, things to come etc. Sometimes they send you a keepsake with the magazine. Usually a reproduction of something from the past that might have been offered as a souvenier. There are member events that are held in Disneyland and in Disney World. Some the past ones from Disney World included Sip & Stroll during F&W last year. This event included park admission, guaranteed seating for Jon Secada's Eat To The Beat performance, passes to Disney QUest, presentations from imagineers, culinary demos, a $50 gift card and a private "Party for the Senses." The there was Magic & Merriment in December. This event included 2 day park admission, 2 passes to Disney Quest, a special morning Holidays Around The World for members, guaranteed seating at the Candlelight Processional, dinner and dessert on the set of Light, Motors, Action, private presentation of the Osboune Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, private luncheon with entertainment inside Diamond Horseshoe Saloon, reserved parade viewing, tour of the suite inside Cinderella's Castle, Admission to MVMCP and special gifts for all guests. The D23 Expo last September was in Anaheim and was a Disney lover's fantasy. There were presentations by the Imagineers including Marty Sklar, Alice Davis, X Atencio and others. We got to see the first 30 minutes of Princess & The Frog, extended previews of Toy Story 3. They did a presentation for the newest Disney Legends, so Robin Williams was there as was Betty White. During the presentation for the Disney Studios, Miley Cyrus showed up along with John Travolta, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp on the Black Pearl dressed as Jack Sparrow. Many things were brought in from the Archives for viewing, and any presentation you could think of related to the Disney Company was available, ABD, DCL etc. Roy O. Disney's grandson came and spoke and shared pictures, stories and mementos of Walt and Roy. It was really a great presentation. There were many vendors with all things Disney and not just new stuff but hard to find collectibles too. There was an auction which was a lot of fun to attend. The next Expo will be in September 2011 in Anaheim. We will be going  Hope that helps. ANy other questions don't hesitate to ask.

Oh good! We are not the only ones :lmao: We took pictures at Victoria & Albert's of all of our food. Here is the link if anyone wants to see www.cyndercorp.com/wallypix

GOOD MORNING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
BOYS AND GIRLS!
WE SET SAIL IN 25 WEEKS! THAT IS 175 DAYS!
:banana::banana::banana:
100_4229.jpg

OMG....only 25 more weeks?! It's going to be here before we know it!!! I want to start packing now!! :rotfl:

I am supposed to start my job at the Disney Store today...I'm just waiting for the manager to call me and tell me what time to be there. I guess I'm just filling out paperwork today. I hope they don't put me on the schedule for this week....I think I've overloaded myself with everything. I joined a photography class, it's only three weeks, but it's on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I need to learn how to use this fancy camera we bought a couple years ago, though!

And I have a feeling I might be missing Easter Dinner with one side of the family. My parents are divorced so I celebrate holidays with my dad on one day, my mom on another day, and my in-laws on yet a different day! My mom's side usually gets together on the actual holiday. Which means, whatever I get scheduled for the weekend of Easter, I'll be missing somebody's Easter dinner! :headache: This is why I've NEVER worked in retail before in my life. But, this is THE DISNEY STORE....so it's kind of hard to pass it up!

Well, have a great Sunday, everyone...I need to get off this computer and on to my errands for today! :thumbsup2

HIIIIIIIIII, TERRIE THANKS FOR THE INFO, I WILL BE ASKING QUESTIONS:rotfl2:
I SENT FOR GOLD MEMBERSHIP,

WHEN I JOIN DOES THAT MEAN BOTH OF US CAN GO ME AND DW?

WHEN YOU GO TO EXPOS ARE THEY KIND OF LIKE THE MEMBER CRUISE WHERE YOU CAN MEET WITH THE SPECIAL GUESTS?

HOW BUSY ARE THEY?

THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS ARRANGE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND PLACE TO STAY?

DW AND I MET ROBIN WILLIAMS UP HERE IN TORONTO WHEN HE WAS ON TOUR A COUPLE YEARS AGO. WE TALKED WITH HIM OUT BACK OF THE THEATRE BEFORE WE WENT IN. HE WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY AND DIDNT MIND TALKING TO US. WE BOTH REALLY ENJOY HIM. DW WOULD DO ALMOST ANYTHING TO MEET HIM:rotfl2: MY NEXT QUESTION IS WHEN THEY WERE THERE COULD YOU GO MEET THEM?

WHAT DID YOU DO WHILE YOU WERE AT WDW LAST WEEKEND?

NOW I CANT WAIT. OH AND DO YOU GET MEMBERSHIP CARD FOR WALLET? ID LIKE TO SHOW PEOPLE.

Since we are able to make ADRs now:

1. Are you making advance dining reservations (ADRs)? If so, where and for what meal?

Dinner at Tony's 16th - don't know if I mad ethis late enough - HELP - I made it for 5:10pm will we be there by then?
Breakfast at the Castle 17th - we have an 8:10a ressie so I am excited about being in the park before opening- I have always wanted to do that and now Ian's photos!!
Ohana Breakfast on the 18th at 10:50am.

2. What is your favorite restaurant(s) at WDW & why?

Oh my - well we LOVE the food at 1900 Park Fare and of course dining with Cinderella and Prince Charming doesn't hurt either. Le Cellier - for the pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup.
3. Is there any restaurant at WDW where you would like to dine but haven't?
Teppan Edo is the one we want to try and typing this made me remember!!:headache:

You'll be fine...we will actually be "kicked" off the ship by 9:30-ish (a.m.). So, if you're going straight back to WDW from the port, you'll actually be there in time for lunch!

HIIIIIIIIII, TERRIE THANKS FOR THE INFO, I WILL BE ASKING QUESTIONS:rotfl2:
I SENT FOR GOLD MEMBERSHIP,

You are welcome. Ask away.

WHEN I JOIN DOES THAT MEAN BOTH OF US CAN GO ME AND DW?

The member events I have seen so far allow you to purchase a ticket for up to three non member guests. The Expo did not require membership to purchase a ticket, however, members were allowed in an hour before other guests which makes a HUGE difference on whether or not you get maxed out of an event. When DH and I renew we will get one Gold and one Silver membership. We don't need 2 magazines but we want the advantage of gettting into the Expo next year an hour early.

WHEN YOU GO TO EXPOS ARE THEY KIND OF LIKE THE MEMBER CRUISE WHERE YOU CAN MEET WITH THE SPECIAL GUESTS?

This will be my first member cruise so I can't really compare. Some of the events at the Expo invited questions from the members and at the Anniversary Party questions were taken from the members. However, Johnny Depp, Miley Cyrus etc. were not walking around the Expo talking to people ;)

HOW BUSY ARE THEY?

The Expo was HUGE and there were long lines and nary a fastpass for any event :rotfl: Some events don't sell out and then some do. The Anniversary Party we went to in WDW sold out in about 4 minutes. Meanwhile the DL Anniversary Party had tix available until the day before the event. Although both events were a bit different from one another. To give you an idea for the size of the Anniversary Party. The guests there filled Mickey's Philharmagic just about and we had Fantasyland all to ourselves that night after park closing.

THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS ARRANGE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND PLACE TO STAY?

In addition to purchasing your ticket to the event. For the Expo, which was open to non members also, the D23 members got a discount on our tix. Many events that are held at the park include park admission. DH and I are passholders so we don't need it but the tix are transferable so we gifted them to my parents.

WHEN THEY WERE THERE COULD YOU GO MEET THEM?

Not the big celebs at the Expo. However, at the Sip & Stroll, D23 members got to meet Jon Secada afterwards. So, I guess it depends on the event and the celebrity.

WHAT DID YOU DO WHILE YOU WERE AT WDW LAST WEEKEND?

We went to the D23 First Anniversary Party which included a dinner buffet and champagne toast at the Diamond Horshoe Saloon, presentation by Steven Clark (head of D23). Presentation by Imagineer Mark Cole re the Fantasyland expansion, private showing of Philharmagic, a dessert party in Fantasyland, rides open for just us since park was closed, meet, greet and photo op with rarely seen characters and a really great pin for the event.

OH AND DO YOU GET MEMBERSHIP CARD FOR WALLET? ID LIKE TO SHOW PEOPLE.

Yes, you do :thumbsup2

Terrie :)

THANKS TERRIE YOUR VERY HELPFUL.

ANOTHER QUESTION I JUST THOUGHT OF. DO THEY INFORM YOU AHEAD OF TIME FOR UPCOMING EVENTS .

EXAMPLE: BEFORE YOU CAME TO WDW FOR THIS LAST WEEKEND DID YOU GET SOMETHING TELLING YOU MAR 20th and 21st SUCH AND SUCH ARE GOING ON. DID THEY SAY YOU WILL BE GOING TO PHILHARMONIC YOU CAN BUY TICKETS AT SUCH AND SUCH PLACE. SAME WITH SIP AND STROLL, BY THE WAY WHAT WAS SIP AND STROLL IS THAT WINE SIPPING AND BECOMES SIP AND STROLL AND STAGGER:rotfl2: WHEN WAS THE LATE NIGHT AT MK I KNOW WE WERE DOWN THERE WHEN THIS WAS GOING ON JUST DONT KNOW WHEN. SO THE LATE HOURS ARE LIKE EXTRA HOURS BUT JUST FOR d23 MEMBERS. DO THEY TELL YOU WHEN AND WHERE TICKETS FOR YOUR DINNER AT LIGHTS CAMERAS ACTION AND IS THAT HELD INSIDE OR UNDER C TENT I NOTICED BOTH INDIANNA JONES AND THE MOTOR RIDE WERE CLOSED SAT.?

You are welcome Ian. Yes, you usually get e-mails letting you know about upcoming events and they will be posted on the D23 website. I also follow D23 on Twitter so I get all the updates straight to my Crackberry. The D23 website will detail all the activities for a given event and you also get an itinerary once you check in at the event. The event for at Lights, Motors Action was last year. If there was something going on there this past week it wasn't D23, maybe they are refurbishing :confused3 I hear that Sip & Stroll (and stagger :rotfl: ) and Magic and Merriment are going to be held again this year but dates have not been announced. For the Anniversary event, if I remember correctly, the event was announced in January (I think) that it would be taking place March 5 and that tix would go on sale Feb. 4th.

Terrie :)

Hi Everyone. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and the weather. We were in NJ visiting my family. We had a very nice time and the weather was lovely.

Monika - sorry for the delay in wishing you a happy birthday. I am glad you enjoyed your day. How have you been?

Debbie - I can't believe we are at 25 weeks already. Time will be here before you know it.

Nikki - You will be off the ship in plenty of time to make your dinner ADR. Our breakfast time last year was at 6:30 a.m. since we had early dining. We were off the ship by 8:00 a.m. I think this time we might try to do the breakfast buffet.

6:30am:scared1::scared1::scared1:!!! We are up at that time but I can't imagine being around other people!!!:rotfl2:

We enjoyed our weekend also...sunny and 70s all weekend - it was great!!

Saturday the four of us made the trip to the closest Disney Store about 1 1/2 hrs away. I wanted to get some Disney Dollars for our Easter Egg hunt - but they don't sell dollars anymore:headache: only gift cards!!!Since it has been well over 6 months since I was there last, I was so bummed out!! I also missed the preordering of Princess and the Frog so I didn't get the Collector Tiana to go with my Snow White:headache:!! But I managed to find a few things and then we headed to the outlets and outside!! I found the girls some summer clothes and then we stopped at Rita's for our free Italian Ice. If you do not know what Rita's is....you are missing out!!!!:cloud9:

Yesterday the girls and I had a playdate with friends of ours - 2 of my girlfirends have 2 girls each also so together we have 6 girls between 3 and 6!! We have since added 2 other friends each with 1 girl - no boys?!?!? Now that the big girls are older and in school and with all of our work schedules we don't get to see each other as much - so it was an especially fun afternoon sitting in the sun and the girls ran around like crazies!!

I have been busy planning a little tip booklet for the fam for our trip in 20 days!!!! Most of them have never flown and all but us and 1 sister have never been to WDW!!! I am the utlimate planner so I am putting together some info like park hrs, bus info, info for the ME, ETC....I am nuts but I am having fun. It's helping me get focused instead of dreaming of WDW all day:laughing:!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good morning everyone! I had my first shift at the Disney Store last night...I THOUGHT I was just going in to fill out paperwork....turns out I was there for almost five hours. UGH! But I had fun...everyone is super nice. We'll see how long I can handle working two jobs. Haven't worked two jobs in fifteen years...and I didn't have two kids back then. So, we'll see! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Monday!
