oh, forgot to tell, I got my cruise fix tonight, I watch the Wonder leave port tonight via the web cams, ahhhhhh longing to go. But thanks to Marsha with the countdown, it makes the time go by alittle faster.. Thanks Marsha:cool1:

Terrie - Glad to hear you're feeling better.
How exciting to do two safaris!!! You just keep adding more and more excitement to your September vacation, don't ya? :-)

Thanks! Me too! I am trying. Now if only I could find THE perfect pirate costume for me and DH all would be right in my little world

Terrie:)

Marsha I hope you are feeling better today!!

It is a rainy and dreary Monday morning...I'm dreaming of somewhere warmer and sunnier!! Maybe with a castle....and ice cream bars shaped like mouse ears....;)!!!

Terrie the safaris sound great and I can't wait to see the pirate costume that the queen (or should I say wench??) of the pirates comes up with!! I may need help we are a princess house and other than an eye patch I'm pretty clueless!!!!

DDs show was great yesterday ...I know she is mine but that girl has a voice at 5!!! When she's on stage I have to stare because she sounds so much more advanced than she looks!! I'm jsut glad she has something she really loves...I'm so random...well except maybe I LOVE disney as much as she loves singing:lmao::lmao::lmao:!!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am doing better, not at 100%, but much better than yesterday. When my alarm went off this morning, I saw it was still dark outside so I just rolled over and went back to sleep. I need my hour back. Plus, I need it to be bright and sunny. It is cloudy and dreary here today.

I hope everyone's day is going well.

You are welcome. I cannot believe I missed the Wonder leaving port. I think I was sleeping at the time.

I agree!!! It was so hard to get up today I was just getting used to the sun in the wee hours of the morning!!!

Marsha, I hope you are on the mend.

Oh a Mickey bar sounds really good and I already miss the castle!

Nikki, that made me LOL :rotfl: I dunno what we'll come up with. Left to my own devices I'd design something and have it made  DH and I were looking at costumes on line and he was :scared1: over some of the prices of a few of the pirate: costumes that I liked. I figured then, that this was not the time to bring up the idea of custom designed :rolleyes1

Glad the show went well. How awesome that your little girl has a great singing voice at so young an age! I love singing. Unfortunately, for those in earshot, I have zero talent for it. Think, cats in a blender and you'll get the jist of it

Have any of you ever volunteered to teach the Junior Achievement program at your child's school?

I volunteered before I even knew about the Disney GAD program....then got excited when the JA lady told me about it...only to be let down when I heard the next day that they had already given their 1 millionth free ticket.

So, today was my first day....there are four more days. I was soooooo nervous. I hate standing in front of people. But, it was kind of fun once I got started.

But, tonight I was getting my stuff ready for tomorrow's class and I actually had to look up a couple of things online!!! It's amazing (and scary) to think that my fourth grade son knows more than me because I haven't retained every bit of information I learned in grade school!!! :sad2:

I hope all of you had a good Monday! I hate that it's still dark when I wake up now, but I'm loving that it's not completely dark yet at 7:00 pm!! :dance3:

Hello Luckymom,

I am a teacher and there are days that I am the same way. It is normal. Isn't it nice to be able to look it up on the internet. Wish we had that when I was in school. My 7th grader is in algebra and geometry that I took as a junior in high school. Talk about feeling inadequate. My younger son has this exploring type math. Drives my wife and I crazy because the answer is this and they want to know how we can do it writing the why questions. My wife say because! Fun nights of homework. The kids don't do the old long division and multiplication anymore have you see the multiplication by using fingers thing yet?

On another topic Marsha is it possible to pass germs on the computer, the stomach bug has now gone through my household as well. Thanks a lot lol lol:rotfl: Just kidding!

Have a great week everyone!!

Scott

Scott - I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who struggles with my kids' homework (and Junior Achievement) lol!! My son is only in 4th grade and I've had to look things up online before. It would have been GREAT to have the internet when we were in school...the only resources we had were the library and an old set of encyclopedia's. I hope your family gets over the flu soon!

So, I have some WONDERFUL news to share today. First I got a call from the manager at the Disney Store asking me if I can start working there this coming Sunday. (Of COURSE!!!) Then about an hour later, my old employer called me back to work! I'm so excited :yay: I just can't hide it  I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.
:cheer2::dance3::cheer2:
I will be making $5 more PER HOUR than what I'm making right now. Seriously, I'm so excited I feel like my whole body is going to explode and I've got butterflies in my stomach like a 16 year old girl going on her first date would have. :lmao: I can't stop smiling, and I want to stand outside and scream "WOO-HOO" as loud as I can. :goodvibes

Hello wonderful DISers. I have been lurking on these threads for a while and finally took the plunge yesterday to sign up and admit to my Disney addiction. We (my DH, DS8, DS7, DD5 and I) have been to WDW numerous times and after realizing how much we were spending on hotels we became DVC members last year. We have been on two DCL cruises (a 4 day and a 3 day) last year and are very excited (at least I am as the kids don't know yet and DH is as supportive as he can be) to be booked on the member cruise this fall. I would love to be part of this amazing group and would appreciate any and all advice/guidance that I can get as to how to join in. Thank you.

Just call me the Queen of the stomach virus. It has gone through my house as well. DH was sick yesterday, on our anniversary. :sad2: I hope you and your family are feeling better. We are feeling much better. :yay:

Thank you for the anniversary wishes! We will be celebrating this weekend.

Thank you Marsha, you are very kind. I am certainly excited to be joining. Will take me a few days to get caught up and learn the ins and outs of navigating the boards but then I look forward to being part of the discussions.
