Hello everyone and happy new year to you all!!!

Planning my trip from June 29-July 8th and trying to find posting on when Holywood studios will be presenting fantasmic. Any ideas? My favorite show. I have not heard if they will continue the reduced showings this summer or not.
Anyone watch the travel channel last night about disney cruise lines. As first time cruisers (any cruise) my wife and I enjoyed it and got some good information. My mom goes on all the inaugural cruises so she has been a great help and has given us dvd's and booklets so in addition to all the great info here getting more and more but trying to not get overwhelmed.

Cold here in central Maryland and ready to get back to school. I am ready not sure all my sleepy high school kids will be?

Have a great week!!!

:smickey:

Heading back home today. It has been COLD here in Florida! I was prepared to get to wear a jacket  I wound up wearing long sleeves, sweater and jacket plus mittens, scarf and hat!:cold: The Osbourne Festval of lights was beautiful as always. We found loads of Hidden Mickeys. This year the Halloween cat was really hard to find. Still found it before DH so I remain undefeated in our little contest :lmao:

I had a nice unexpected magical moment at Epcot. It was January 1st and I was wearing my B-day button when a castmember yells over to me, "Hey Terrie there's a phone call for you!" and she was looking directly at me. When I picked up the phone I heard Goofy singing Happy Birthday on the other line! I thought that was so sweet, it really made my day :goodvibes

Chris, you have missed nothing by never staying at a value. Be glad you have not. Here's a few more rantings from the value resort trip. I did not mention that the toilet was constructed in such a fashion (not level) that when being used :rolleyes1 one's body is forced to lean to the right. Not a little, mind you...think Leaning Tower of Pisa and you get the picture. DH also made an observation about the toilet paper. He says to me in a very matter of fact tone, "Honey, did you notice that the toilet paper here is so thin that is disintegrates in the water?" Now that had me :lmao::lmao::lmao: because DH is my polar opposite. He is not the type of person who can amuse himself with random sarcasm. So that just had me rolling to the point of tears.

Now I do like to find the positive in everything so as far as values here it goes...less strain on the wallet of course :cool1: if your going to go "slumming Disney style" you're still on property :thumbsup2 and the hot cocoa at the "black hole" ahem...food court is actually really tasty! Here are some pics from the trip...

Love the pictures Terrie! Looks like you had a great time. Cute purse too!

Good Morning All! I hope everyone is doing well. DS is  so I am home with him today but definitely not off as I will be participating in a conference call in a few minutes.

Since the holidays are behind us and most of our decorations are down, I think it is time to get to know one another a little bit better. So, I will be posting question(s) of the week every now and then. Some will be Disney related and some will not. Feel free to answer or not. The first question is simple.

Questions of the week
  1. Did you make a New Year's resolution? If so, what is it?
  2. Is this resolution the same as last year's?
  3. What are you looking forward to in 2010?

I will answer the questions when I am finished with my conference call.
Have a good day!

Hello everyone and Happy Monday. :confused3 Ok maybe not.

I actually had to go back to work today after being off of work since the 17th of December. It was nice being off but I did not get as much done around the house as I would have liked to.

Just a reminder that if you have not sent me your information for the gallery page on the SS MEMBER CRUISE Website please send that to me and I will post. Read the first post in this thread for the format and information needed.

Hope everyone has a good week this week and here is to a prosperous new year in 2010. :cool1:

I love this idea of questions of the week!! Ok, so here are my answers:

Yes, I made a New Year's resolution...to attend Church (I've been really bad about that over the last several years). And I'm happy to report that I already attended Church yesterday morning.

No, it is different than last year's.

Beside the obvious (the cruise, of course), I am looking forward to looking for AND being hired for a new (better paying) job. I have been stuck in a very low paying, dead end local government job after losing my wonderful job at a mortgage company in Nov 08. Don't get me wrong...I know I am very lucky to even have a job, but it is putting a HUGE financial strain on my family; and here I am planning a cruise vacation! :lmao: But hopefully I'll find a new job before then and get paid vacation {fingers crossed}

Can't wait to read everyone else's answers!

1. I hate to say but no resolution for me this year. I can never do what I say I'm gonna try so I decided to pass on it this year.

2. No, last year I said the favorite one of lose weight. Did it work???? Nope.

3. January at WDW for a quick weekend, Spring Break at WL, the DVC 2010 Members Cruise! And there are some other things too. Like my niece and nephew graduating from High School, my daughter's just being my daughters, and life in general.

Hi Everyone!

DH and I are signed up for the Cruise. We can't wait. Kids are going to be staying home with grandma so this will be a great getaway for us. :cool1: We have room #6522 booked.

Yes! A few... I resolve to lose more weight this year than I did last year and keep it off. Get a tan :cool2: before the cruise since my natural skin color is "death warmed over." I am quite certain that combining a two piece swim suit with, skin the color of a corpse and the existing "cheese on my pizza" :rolleyes1 is a recipe for

More or less. Last year's was just to lose weight, which I did and kept some but not all of it off.

Oh boy, quite a few things. We are in the process of re-decorating the house without going into debt, therefore, it is a very slooooooowwww process. So, I am looking forward to getting new furniture, now that I sold most of ours on Craigslist :cool1: I am hoping this year's D23 Expo is not going to be scheduled the same time as the cruise. I enjoyed it last year and would like to go again :woohoo: The DVC cruise of course. Our annual MNSSHP/F&W trip. Booked a split stay with the cabins at Ft. Wilderness and then Tree House Villas at SSR. New Year's Eve at WDW again and this time NOT at a value resort :rotfl: That wraps up my 2010!

Terrie :)

Hi all - DDad has his surgery yesterday - 2 more stints but the cardiologist said his heart is strong! :) He looked so much better after the surgery. He will be coming home later today. Thank you all for your prayers!:grouphug:

I am on the mend also - yesterday was my first big trip out and I am looking forward to returning to work!!:scared1: I know I'm nuts!!!

We got a ton of snow yesterday so the kids had a day added onto their Christmas break - it continues snowing...............

Did you make a New Year's resolution? If so, what is it?

DH and I have resolved to begin a healthier lifestyle. While we would like to lose some weight, focusing on that makes me insane so I want to improve our food options.
Is this resolution the same as last year's?

Last year we did weight loss and both did good....for a little while - which is common for us.
What are you looking forward to in 2010?

2010............First my whole family is taking a trip to WDW in April to celebrate my youngest sister's HS graduation. This is going to be a first for my whole family so I am super excited for them to see WDW and enjoy a trip. Then of course our cruise - our 1st time cruising!!!!

Non-Disney - definately spending time with the fam and watching my girls grow - they are getting big so fast!! My youngest DSis (who I say is my 1st baby - there is 16 yrs between us - is graduating HS - and I can remember her 1st day of Kindergarten:scared1:!!!

Stay warm to all in the frigid areas!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, we are expecting more snow, 6-9 inches, today/tonight/tomorrow. :scared1: And we are under yet another Winter Storm Warning. I love winter.

Welcome to the DVC Cruise thread STLDisneyfreak! :wave2:

Did anyone else sign up for the Disney Give A Day Get A Day program? DH and I just registered for our volunteer activity. We are making blankets for foster children with the Project Linus organization.

Terrie :)
