Please note, Disney only provides towels for DISNEY run excursions. If you are doing Moby Dick, Captain Marvi's or any other outside provider, you are on your own, unless the private company does towels (most do NOT).

fltink! i'm so confused! i was under the impression that DCL would provide towels as you leave the ship (at any point) or you could just take towels from the pool or room and return them later. i wasn't planning on bringing beach towels as they take up so much room in the suitcase.

Hi all!

We are back from the first trip, long weekend in Chicago, and are now packing for trip two...THE CRUISE!
I hope that everyone has safe travels to Orlando. We will be working for these four days but our minds will be on the Magic! Have a great week and we'll see ya all on Sat.
We will be in the leis that don't match anyone else's. I bought them for a bridal shower and decided to recycle.

I think we've just grabbed a few twoels from the pool area on the way out...
of course you should be nice and bring them back on board

I should clarify......Disney only ENCOURAGES you using their towels on Castaway Cay day and on their shore excursions. (At Castaway, you will remember they had the big bins on the dock full of clean towels and for shore excursions you are handed them when you gather on the ship.) I have taken towels from the cabin and brought them back, however, I don't think this is something that Disney exactly encourages. Our problem last time was that the room towels tend to be too small to use as beach towels. We are possibly going to throw a couple of towels that we don't care about in our luggage and we will dispose of them at port when we are done.

Ugh. It's Tuesday morning (feels like Monday) and the cruise is sooooo close I can't stand it. I'm soooooo tired. This last week is going to be a killer! I am also praying that Felix doesn't devastate central Mexico too badly. Hopefully they are prepared and can recoup easily.

Ch10Dad, you are so funny. Only coffee? But, what's IN the coffee?

Stina, you'll get it all done. I know how you feel. I STILL have to go shopping with my DD12 to get her some shorts. She is so darned picky though. She's got a million tops and no shorts! How does that happen?

DH's suitcase is pretty much packed; DD15 is pretty much packed with exception of shoes; I'm pretty well packed; DD12 is only one I have to worry about now. Hopefully we'll finish her up tonight. Then I have to clean the house, finish laundry, put it away, and whatever else comes my way. Also have to make sure everything is taken care of and set up for my boss for the week I'll be gone. He about died when I told him he couldn't call me on my cell phone while I was gone. He was like "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T CALL YOU?" I told him not taking cell because too expensive to use in international areas. Guess I'll have to buy some internet time to pacify him

Well, alot of the gang has left the building here. Hope those that are WDW are having a grand time, and those who are leaving soon have safe trips and grand times at WDW. Can't wait to board that ship!

We were also planning on just "borrowing" towels from either the pool area or room. Stina's right; packing beach towels take up so much space. Then you either have to wash them and pack them away for the rest of the trip, or hang them to dry which is a pain since the bathroom's not THAT big. Just be kind and return if you borrow. I know DCL probably frowns upon that, but, hey, gotta go with the flow sometimes.

worst case scenario, if you don't bring a beach towel and find the ship towels insufficient you can always purchase a fancy new DCL beach towel from the gift shop.

now i'm still debating if i should bring towels or not. i don't have any throwaway towels, only my nice ones from WDW.

Ok, totally didn't follow any of that. I must be missing something....

Stina, I wouldn't worry about towels. We are only bringing a couple thins ones what we are going to throw away because you know how Jay is! ) He needs "his" towels! I wouldn't be surprised if Moby Dick and/or Dolphin Discovery provides towels, though.

Anyway........I am slowly going crazy here.....packing, printing confirmations, getting our dogs all set up for while we are gone, paying bills....plus I have a doctor's appointment AND I have to work tonight! Ugggghhhh!!!!!! I can't imagine being ready by tomorrow, but I know we will be. I actually pack better under pressure anyway. Here's to the procrastinators!!!! You are NOT alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok back to the important things... Castaway Cay. What are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite spot?

Personally I think it's a horrid little dust spot of an island. I think it would be best if everyone stayed on board and played bingo...(hee hee hee).

This week is going so slow. The next 3 days at work are going to be painful .

Since the meet and greet is canceled for Friday at 6:00PM. Is there anything else planned? I thought someone mentioned a dessert thinggy?

I just finished packing our clothes. I couldn't fit everything I had on the piles..so some things will not make the suitcases. Now I have to pack the personal care/medicine bag to be checked and my carry-on. DH is taking his laptop so that counts as his carry-on.
We also leave Wednesday morning.

MamaKoss.... I think you need to tell your boss that you will be happy to check your email 3 times a day if the COMPANY pays for some of the minutes because those minutes don't come cheap! And the connection is soooooooooo slow it takes about 3-4 just to connect!

we leave for cingularone's house thursday morning, mom and her friend are already there.

Let's see....documents completed and signed....all confirmations, transfers, passports, rechargers, camera batteries, charged iPods, extra cash in carry on. Good supply of $1 and $2 bills for tips. Books packed.

Suitcases out and being warily viewed by cats.

Presidential Suite reserved at Vet for "special needs" cat (Pepper, the black one below). His "goodie box" of food, treats, brush and meds started. Pet sitter re-confirmed for Smokey (gray).

The rest of the packing, eh!!, plenty of time left!

Now if only we could get our offices to behave and just leave us alone for the next two days......
