Last call for leis.​

I spoke with Ladyemmaann and we felt that it would be best if we ordered the leis sometime the week of 7-15-07. That way we know that they should be here before I need to leave for WDW on 9-1-07. So if you are not on the list at the bottom of the dining list please let Grandma4ever (thats me) know so we can add you in the next two weeks.

Well folks, Kevin has to have very serious hernia surgery. Laproscopic is out of the question (as is a quick recovery) because the hole is too big. He (we) will be out of work 4-6 weeks.
We have already cancelled this cruise. Thank GOD we ALWAYS get the insurance, with 4 staterooms and all. We lose $600 in insurance fees for 8 people, but atleast we get our main chunk of money back.
Kevin is so upset that he dissapointed our family. I told him not to worry at all, his health comes first. There will be other cruises.

I am REALLY upset not to be cruising with you all on this one. I was really excited and looking forward to meeting all of you. Of course there will be no meet at SSR, as we will not be there. Maybe someone else can jump in on that one. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers, and please continue to pray for Kevin as he goes through this surgery. I promise to keep you posted as I have updates.

Janet and I will be without transportation so I don't see us being able to put a meet together. Maybe there is another person out there that can step up.

Medical issues seem to be flying around this vacation.. But know that prayers and possitve thoughts go higher. Mary and I will miss meeting you and yours but we understand around this time family health and healing come first then fun.

Cyndi, We are so sorry you & Kevin had to cancel. We were so looking forward to meeting you. But health comes first & there will be other cruises. Who knows, the 9/8/07 cruisers might just decide to all go on a cruise together in '08! Our best to Kevin on his operation & recovery.

Wow, the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming. I cannot say thank you enough. This has been a very emotional day for our whole family. You see, I am married to a guy who thinks if he doesnt/cant carry the weight of the world on his shoulders that he is letting us down. Little does he know it is his strength, love and giving that continues to lift us up! Thank you again, and does anyone have any ideas on how to keep my hyper husband tied down for 4 weeks? He BETTER follow the docs orders or NurseyPoo is going to turn into DR DOOM on him real quick like!

That will get him. He'll beg you to turn them OFF!!! It hurts too bad to laugh! Next good choice... PS2. And rent the games.

Im a movie freak...I "watched" (listened) to movies for 4 days while my eyes healed. After that I really watched them. So many trilogies out there to see.

I agree.... I have just spent the last 6 weeks recovering from some internal operations and have been at home for the entire time. My hernia surgery is scheduled for the 21st of July so I too will be down and i like to think of myself as someone who gets things done as well.

Cyndi.... whoa. I can't believe that horrible experience you had. It made me so angry just reading it! Some people are real jerks. I am also sorry to hear that you had to cancel. You will be MISSED for sure.

I haven't posted in about a week because my life as been CRAZY!

I have some good and bad news.

Bad news: My DP lost her job so we may have to cancel the cruise.

Good news: We will most likely be moving to the sunshine state!


Believe me, I don't want to cancel, but right now with one of us unemployed our chances aren't looking great. We already called our trip insurance who apparently WON'T cover this due to a technicality. Grrr.. More suckage.

I will keep you posted on what we decide.

Wow Stina, that stinks. We have trip insurance as well and so far they are burying us with paperwork I sure hope they hurry on up with the refund because we need to know that we have that money for bills and living expenses while we are out of work. Kev had disability coming but its not much.
Kevins pre op (EKG, bloodwork, etc) is scheduled for next tuesday, and the surgery will be next thursday. We are TRYING to reschedule our DVC points without losing any. Kevin wants to take a quick trip to WDW and the Doc approved it as long as her doesnt ride any thrill rides. He says he doesnt care and that he jsut wants his Disney fix before surgery, so we shall see.

Awww, PIT, and stina,
I am so sorry for you both, Health and jobs come before the fun. PIT you will be missed, but you must take care of Kev, and put on your big girl pants as you said earlier there will be many more cruises in your future and you will all be there...Healthy. And Stina, I'm very sorry to hear about your DP job loss. Jobs are hard to come by as it is. I know you will work it out for the better. You all take care, you are all in our prayers.

Pretty in Tink Having major surgery is a shock on the system. I know I had my gall bladder out when I was younger. However, in time you recover. It will take all of 6 weeks before he gains his strenght back. Both of your take care and I hope to catch you on another trip. It is a small world and we never know what may be in store for us.

So, I know you all haven't heard from me before, but I was reading posts without responding on purpose. My husband and I are good friends with Stina and Hanncanna. (We actually met on this same cruise 2 years ago, when my husband and I got married in Key West.) We were going to surprise them. They had no idea that we are comig on the cruise (with my mother in-law, 2 sister in-laws, niece and best friend). The plan was to surprise them on the ship and just show up, but since Stina and Hannacanna were thinking about cancelling, we told them the surprise. They are psyched and of course, are now back in for sure. SOOOOO..... the Self Party Posse will be onboard for our reunion cruise and celebration of our anniversary!!! Can't wait!
