Yippee...and we already have Palo because we are lucky enough to be traveling with friends that have a cat 3.
We have to wait until 90 days out to book our shore excursions as Castaway Cay Club members.

Well Janet and I are back from visiting with her mom. We still don't know what the treatment plans are for her brest Cancer, The PET scan showed a spot on her liver but we don't know it it is cancer yet. When we know that we can get a clearer picture of what can be done. I will post when we know more.

Always check out all your options. And check again. A friend of mine is going thru chemo right now for rectal cancer that went into her liver.She's mid way thru chemo and the Dr's say she's doing great. No more spots(her's were BIG) and still not sure about surgery. They are going to wait more till she's finished with al the treatments.She's lost alot of weight but she's paddled with us for the past year which has helped with the treatments.
Hard part is wanting to help and not knowing how or what to help with.

I don't want to brag but I just realized that Janet and I only have 94 days till we leave for WDW!!!!

Lois... You are so welcome. Matter of fact I just ran into another friend at lunch today. Today she was told by her Dr. she's in remission! 5 years cancer free! So I know Janet's mom can fight too!


oh.... CONGRATS on the date! I may ask a favor of you closer to your WDW trip.

Lois,

Janets mom is in our thoughts and prayers. My mom had cancer 2 years ago and is in remission.

My SIL also had breast cancer. She went into remission after chemo and was cancer free for 14 years.

She definitely needs to keep fighting. While it's not proven it is my belief that the fighter mentally makes a world of difference in fighting cancer or any illness for that matter.

Earlier in life I would be more upset but being 50 now I have realized over the years that the car is just metal that can be fixed or replaced.

From reading about Janets mom with cancer, you see there are a lot worse things that can happen in life.

Lois, I'm so sorry to hear what's going on, just keep fueling her with the strength to fight on, this can be beat, everyone stay positive.
Stine, welcome back lucky dog, I hope you had a great time, sounds like you did.
Bill, Wow! I can't believe it, but you are handeling it well, sorry about the car though, no matter how ya look at it, it's a bummer. But you've got good times ahead.
Kinseysmom, let's plan the kids meet, let me know what your ideas are, so far i got by the pool on Saturday. Let's work it out. I'm workin 2 more days this week for a nice 3 days off, so I'll be chattin it up on here!

I want to thank everyone for the kind and supportive words. We will continue to support mom to fight in the hope that she will find that remission.

While the rest of you have 99 day today Janet and I are at 93 days. We are one of the lucky ones who are going to WDW before the cruise. It is getting so close.

I am still taking names of those who want to attend the Friday Breakfast and Monday Lunch. I am also recording the shore excursion that are planned / booked. Those are being listed with the roster.

On the roster I am listing 1) screen name 2) first names of all in your party 3) the relationship to each other 4) stateroom number or catagory 5) anything you might be celebrating while on board. 6) shore excursions PM me any of the above information that you would like included in the roster.

Bill you are so right a car is a thing and really doesn't have all that much value. They can be repaired or replaced but our physical bodies are not always so lucky.

Tinkerbelltris I believe the plan is to meet at the drink station by the Mickey pool at 3 to 3:45 to hand out leis to those who have not already gotten theirs. Do you all want a list of the persons who plan to be at this meet. I don't know that I can be there. We are taking DCL transport from the resort and I don't know for sure when we will get on board. However I could keep the list. I seem to be good at keeping the lists.

Stina I trust that while you were at WDW to made sure everything was still in place for us this September. I just need to win powerball so I can do this more often with out all the saving and going without. Welcome back.

Lois, I'm with you, we are hittin WDW before the cruise so for us it's 95 days to go!!! WOOOOHOOOO! I can't wait. As soon as I organize my excurssions Lois, I will email them to you to add to the roster. Thanks for the update on the Pool meet for the kids, we'll be there. Lois, an old term but does work, think positive. We are sending that to you and Janet and her family. Lift this up to your/her higher power type issue you and Janet know where we are etc..
Our family is waiting for 2 doctors to get off opposite vacations and ready for surgery. Mary's mom has different type cancer. TIMING.. odddd..

I serious doubt cat 1 ,2 or 3 are available ... there are several cat 4's.
I dont know who has cat 1 this cruise but Disneynut1955 has it the 2 weeks following ours(8th).

Greetings people I'm sorry it has taken so long to reply. Our story is like every other person's, busy,busy, busy. First, my name is Rebecca and my husband's name is Jim. We have a beautiful daughter Dacey, who is 7 yrs-old but going on 30 fast. I am the big Mickey fan of our family (my daughter is the big anything princess fan). We are in Cabin #7136 (it's a handicapped cabin). We are going on the cruise so that I can rest after a knee replacement (DCL is the only place we can get rid of our daughter and not feel guilty about spending time with her). We are scheduled for early seated dinner (when it is not served to us). At this time we have no plans to do any activities ashore but it may change if my husband wants to take my daughter somewhere. We like to sit on the deck and play cribbage or scrabble.
