I'm thinking that we should just leave the gifts up to folks who want to bring stuff to leave in the Fish Extenders.

If anyone wants to set up a gift swap we could do it at the Lunch. Then we wouldn't need to set up another time to meet.

With being at the parks for six days before this cruise I amnot sure I will have room to being addition gifts. I do have an idea for the fish extenders however one that is not too expensive and will not take up too much space.

A Fish Extender is a a thing that you hang from the fish outside your door. It has four or more pockets on it to allow for others to leave you notes or other items. I am trying to make one. I don't have a pattern and I am not all the great at sewing. But I'm trying. Anyone out there have a picture of a completed Fish extender to share? I don't think I did all that great at explaining it. Lois

Hello all. O.k. I 'm off work today and haven't heard from DCL, so I'm making the call. I will let you all today whats going on. This is for the Jammie breakfast Friday at 7:30a.m. and the Lunch on Monday at 12 noon. I iwll post info as I get it today. Thanks for being patient.

Thanks Ann for getting us back on page 1. When I checked this AM we were still on page 1 but down towards the bottom. So here is my attempt to put us up towards the top.

Questions still needing to be answered.
1) Have we decided when and where we are going to meet the 1st day on board?
2) Any info from DCL about our Lunch and breakfast?
3) How are the plans for the pub crawl going? Haven't heard much lately.

Anyone else have any questions that might need answers?

I Would Still Like To Put In The Suggestion That The First Day On Board, We Could Meet At 3pm At The Drink Station Next To The Mickey Pool. For Those Of Us With Younger Children The First Thing They Will Want To Do Is Head To The Pool To Swim. By The Way, How Many Dis'ers Have Younger Children? I Am Game For Matching Tshirts, Bandanas, Leis, Etc. So That We Can Recognize Each Other On The First Day

If you want to know what ages the kids are in our group go to the Roster and look at the number next to the person listed in each group. This is the age at the time of the cruise. You can get to that post through the link in my signature. Hope that helps.

I am more than cool with meeting at the Mickey Pool/drink station at 3PM on day one. We can set it up so folks can come between 3 and 3:30. We will need to wear our leis so new comers can recognize us. Someone will need to agree to be the lead person for this.

Once we have a lead person we can arrange to get the leis to that person to hand out to those who do not already have them. The newcomers will know where to get them because some of us will already have them on.

WE HAVE GOTTEN WORD!!!!! AND A GREEN LIGHT FOR BREAKFAST!!!! I am so excited I got the call today, and wanted to share with you all. We will be having the Jammie Breakfast on Friday Sept. 14, 2007 at 7:30a.m. in Topsiders. The girl at the group reservations said it would be no problem at all, we should all be seated together, I told her 25 of us so far. She said it would be no biggie to call and inform them if more people decide to come. There is no actual reservation for us, since topsiders is a breakfast buffet (free for all, she said). However now they will be expecting us. She told me to remind guest services once we've boarded. I will take care of that.
***Still waiting on the lunch, no word yet from DCL. I asked, but no info yet. Hmmm Maybe later today.

Literally with in minutes they called for info on the lunch. Haha.
****O.k. Lois, what do you think, they said for lunch we have our pick: Topsiders, Parrot Cay, or Lumiere"s. Now if we choose Lumiere's she warned we will be seated as groups of 8 and may not be next to eachother depending on how busy they are. We can go to any of these at 12 noon on Monday Sept. 10, 2007. Let me know which one, and I will call back to inform them of our choice. She also said we do not need to make a reservation, but we must inform them due to the size of our group and us wanting to be together. You pick Lois, which place would you like to hold the lunch.

***Lois, what's your idea for the fish extenders? I want to know. I will make our fish extender. So I'm assuming there is a hook or something on the door to hold it right? And I have our sign Bill made also. I'm so excited. I've been working otherwise I would have been yackin it up on the board. I've went back and read the last few pages to get caught up as well. I think we will opt out for the secret Mickey, only because we just bought our airline tickets yesterday and I had a free reward ticket, and the tickets were on sale and my budget for airline tickets was $1,100. But we got a heck of a deal and got all our tickets (1 free) for $587(for all 3 of us) round trip from California. Not bad at all, so the money we saved, we are now talking about staying one extra night after the cruise to do Universal/Island of Adventure for a day in a half. So I'm positive we will have no extra room for anything else. ****But you did mention a fish extender idea you have that won't take up to much room, and I am dieing to know what it is.

Hey Kinseysmom, I think we talked a few pages back. My DS is 8 years old, and we spoke about setting up a meet for the kids. I think it would be a great idea. Let me get some info and we will talk about it. The pool would be a great meet place. Since this is mine, my DH, and DS 1st cruise ever, we will be very anxious after boarding to eat and have a look around the entire ship, and meet with all the dis group, and do the drill. Let me get some times in place, I would love to help arrange it. As it grows closer my son has been asking about the other children, and he tends to be shy at times, so a meet for the kids would be great.

Yes lot's of celebrations while on board. It's fantastic. As soon as we decide on a location for lunch, myself or Lois will post all the details for sure. Although I would love to do the secret Mickey, but I swear I have no space. But we could do cards or something for everyone who has fish extenders on their doors. Lois said a few posts back that she has an idea that won't take up to much space for the fish extenders, I wonder if it is cards. Hmmmmm, guess we will wait and see.

I would like to do something with fish extenders. That's kind of what I had in mind. Perhaps some small (easy to pack) trinkets.

I think we would be more likely to do the lunch than breakfast (although the day of the lunch is DS's 3rd birthday!!!).

Awww 3rd birthday, how fun for him this is gonna be. Be sure to let the CM's on board know it's his B-day! I will add you in for the lunch. I'm waiting for Lois to decide where she'd like to have it at. So we'll let everyone know very soon.
