I'm so confused!!

Maybe I can help. We had friends visit recently and they wanted to do something that was relativley expensive.

The visiting wife said: "I'M ON VACATION!"
Visiting hubby told me: "I think I need to make this happen..."

Thanks for all your time orginizing the various events!

Your welcome. It has been fun helping with all the planning. It is so close.

Went to the dentist and got a temporary fix for my tooth. Should be good for the cruise now. Yea that my dentist fit me in to get this repair. Lois

I have a question maybe some of my "friends" here can help me with. I've been tossing around the excursion for the Dolphin Encounter. Now, if I go with this, do I want to book through DCL or through a private place on the island? Which is better. I want to have real time with the Dolphin's; not just a pat on their head and that's it. For the money we will spend for it, I need some suggestions.

DOLPHIN SWIM ADVICE

MamaKoss - I have already booked the Dolphin Swim at Chankanaab Park for our group. I chose to go direct and purchase through the park because the Disney version of this excursion only offers ONE level - which is simply "interacting" with the dolphins NOT swimming with them. Also it is much cheaper to go direct and includes admission to Chankanaab Park with your purchase of package. Going direct through Dolphin Discovery, they offer 3 levels 1. interacting (same as Disney) 2. swim adventure (swimming) 3. royal swim (swimming with and doing what I call extreme stunts!) Go to www.cometocozumel.com and look at the dolphin discovery link to find out more and to register.

We are registered for the Wed. Sept. 12, 1pm (13:00hrs) Adventure Swim program, so if you sign up for that time slot you may see us or be in our group!

To get to Chankanaab park on your own, exit the ship then at the port get a taxi direct to the park - about $20. Best to take a taxi in a group so you can split the fare.

If you are interested in seeing what the dolphin swim looks like, go to youtube.com and search for "Dolphin Swim Cozumel" there are tons of home movies posted so you can see how fun it is!

Good luck!

We booked also thru the park itself and we booked for all 3 of the royal swim at 1:00p.m. It came up to $417, I think it will be well worth the money. I did the interaction thing a few years back in Sea Life Park in Hawaii (Same company) and it was VERY disappointing. I wanted to swim with them. The interaction is you and like 12 others standing on a large step thing in water that on me was to the middle of my thy's (I'm 5 foot 3) ANd we got to pat the dolphin, and take a picture with it and learn about how they train them...... Yeah, waste of money.

Good morning! :goodvibes

Just checking in. Only 5 more work days until vacation for me! But I do have to jump a big hurdle today...going to the dentist and the vet in one day...yikes! Dentist for me, vet for cat ;) But I have superpowers, I can tolerate anything knowing I am going on vacation. :thumbsup2

DD11 is wondering if there is any other 11 yo girls going?
 :cool1:  :thumbsup2  :yay:  :cool1:  :woohoo:  :happytv:
I have a DD12 who is turning 13 at end of September. Her name is Kelly. She will probably be in the teen room though because she is within one month of turning 13 (which you have to be to go in The Stack Teen Room). But, I'm sure she will be anxious to make new friends and have them to hang around with at the pool and such.

Well, thank you for all the input on the Dolphin thingy! :thumbsup2

I booked direct through Dolphin Discovery and we have the 3:30 p.m. (since the 1:00 p.m. was not available anymore). :sad2:

I was going to book the 10:00 a.m., but then noticed we don't get in to port at Cozumel until 10:30 a.m. :upsidedow

But, booking the 3:30 p.m. spot, we did get an $80 internet promotional discount! So for the 4 of us (all considered adult), it cost $333.60. I can handle that! Of course, that's not including taxes and such. I think the final total was $403. or something like that. :yay: Not as bad as I thought it would be. Now I am so psyched to swim with the dolphins! (I guess it's better than swimming with the fish huh?) :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I am becoming besides myself with excitement. I have CONSTANT butterflies in my tummy and I feel like a little anxious kid! And, I haven't even begun to pack! I can't believe I'm not packed already. I'm a very organized individual, but something always gets in the way schedule wise. I did however bring the suitcases up from the basement last night. I believe I will start when I get home from work today. :rolleyes1 Of course, I have to make dinner, cut the grass, and I have the volleyball team to coach this evening from 8-9 p.m. Uggg!

That's my update for today. We are on a definite count down at home! Kids keep posting on our bulletin board at home how many days til cruise! :flower3:
Talk again soon. Hugs and Kisses. :grouphug:

Hmmmmm... There's a conversation forming in my head that goes something like this: "Hon, wouldn't you like to stay in the club while your mom, sister and I go swim with dolphins, um I mean big smelly animals...?":rolleyes1

O.k. I have a question about the arcade. So I heard there is cards you can buy each day for $10.00 Now is that $10 for as many games as can play all day long? Or how does this card work? Thanks everyone in advance.

Wouldn't that be nice if you got an arcade "day " pass...

Sorry buy even Disney isn't that generous. The games charge to the card whatever the cost to play the game is. Some are up to $1 or more and some are less. They're all marked. Your kids will have an idea depending on the game.

Fortunatley my girls aren't "really" into arcade games, at least not yet. :woohoo: (Don't need any help on this one either guys.:rolleyes1 )

Thanks for the welcomes ! :) We are super excited, and glad to hear there are folks close to our age , my DH thinks i'm nutz with how much time i spend on these boards but there is SOO much disney apparantly doesn't tell you , i've read those tips boards like 50 times by now and still continue to look every day ! I wish i read some sooner that later though, we got the palo for monday when it first opened for booking and then AFTER i order my little ds a tux, well tux variant it has a bow tie with suspenders and black pants instead of a jacket , THEN we figure out that we will be missing the formal night for palo :sad2: He does have his little terror on the seas pirate outfit though that he can use, and heck he'll be a little extra formal for the semi formal night i guess? I'm too afraid to monkey with the palo ressies on the ship as we are getting there kinda late in my book. We booked the disney air and their flight has us getting into orlando at 12:30 .. with an hour ride to the boat we probably will not get onboard til 2:30:eek: So if we come late to the 3pm meetup that is why.. again i wish new sooner it was better to fly in a day early ! Well hope you all have a great flight/ ride to the ship and see you there ! I think my qs are covered except .. do you really think i need to buy this stuff for the sea lice? I'm scared of little ds getting it.. he would not be a happy camper.. which makes dh and my life miserable !
