well....we are still here We are checking the girls out of school at 11:30 (so they don't miss another day, lol) and heading straight out of town! Momma arrived yesterday and treated us all to mani/pedi's! Got to love her

Thankfully, I have been so overloaded with work that I will be working today, in the car most of the way. Thank goodness for bberrys and laptops...I can 'take off' without really taking off

Funny that mom has been lurking on the boards and has packed almost everything that I had forgotten...and then some...and brought me a 'formal' dress to wear! We are beach bums and I have totally lost track of what formal even means DD's wear flipflops with their nice dresses. it is funny how just being at the beach for a few years really lays you back

I will be checking in periodically during the day (everyone will think I a working, lol) to see if anyone has last minute questions. I feel like I am overflowing with information

OMGoodness about carnival! I watched it sail out of Mobile on my way home from work yesterday...I am guessing that the casinos got to him...kinda hazardous to have casinos on a boat...if you lose enough, and have a verandah, it could be dangerous that is such a shame...at least DCL was to the rescue...makes me proud..

I get the chills reading all the excitement on the pages. Perkins pancake house, mani/pedis and driving in the car (by the way Queenof2princesses - we are total flip-flop with dresses people - I totally understand). I am soo excited for everyone. The weather is gorgeous today and ready for everyone to have some fun once they get here. See you all tomorrow and keep in touch about your journey! I love reading it!! I am still here and heading to the port around 8:15 with arrival around 10:15!

Well, we are finally all packed. Putting the kids to bed and hoping they sleep, at least a little. We hope to leave here by 8:30 and arrive at the port by 11:00. We are packed to the gills and I still feel like I have forgotten things. I have swimsuits, travel documents, toiletries, and pjs, we could do without everything else, if we had to. See you all very soon!!!

My wife and I frequent Key West quite a bit and have a couple favorite places we thought we would share.

When in Key West you must have some Key Lime something (pie, cookies, candy, etc...). We always stop at Kermit's and get their white chocolate/key lime cookies. They offer free samples and we promise that you will find something tasty.

There are way too many great places to eat in KW but the DW and I will be having a late lunch here. If any of you are oyster eaters (raw, steamed, or baked), then you may want to check it out. It's away from the busy Duvall St crowd and has great Oysters Rockefeller.

I am a long time lurker who was originally booked on this cruise (had to switch to the cruise in two weeks, we sail 9/19).

I had to come watch you guys take off/count down and show up and I will be glued to my computer tomorrow at 5pm to watch all of you sail!

Sitting in our room at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'm watching a giraffe who's sitting under our balcony and two zebra are grazing nearby.

Packing up and heading to port in the morning. See you all at 1 pm ashore or at 3 pm at the meet.

We are home, unpacked and the laundry is humming. Hope everyone had a safe trip back home. We are thinking about you all and so thankful to be so close.

We had a great time and can't wait to book again. It was wonderful to have a group of people that we already "met" prior to boarding the ship. It seemed like we ran into someone from our group every where we went.

As we drove away from the port, DD said "I want to go on the boat again!"

Thanks to everyone and especially thanks to all the great Crew Members who made our vacation so special.

Well, we're not at our "real" home, but we are at home here in WDW!!!
Wow, what a wonderful cruise we had!! I have to say that this DIS meet was definitely one of the highlights of the cruise for me. I was overwhelmed at the number of people that were there! It was wonderful seeing all my DIS friends around the ship and in port...it seemed like we were constantly running into someone from the DIS! I know that I have definitely made some lasting friendships and some wonderful memories that I'll carry with me forever!!

WDWEnabler-Would you mind letting us know how we can go about getting a copy of the group photo that was taken? That's definitely something that I'd like to add to my photo album. Thanks!

After a fun-filled 11:00 hour drive to Virginia we are home from our marvelous cruise. What incredible weather and smooth sailing we had. I don't recall any 7 day or longer cruise where the seas were so smooth the entire time.

It was great meeting as many of you as we did including some of our next door cabin mates of deck 7...

I think we can all agree it was a great vacation....looking forward to our next Disney experience in November at Bay Lake Tower.

Also looking forward to seeing our group photo...anybody know when and where it will be posted??

I just started a new photo upload site so that I can upload the 5 Gb of pictures I took and the 590+ that DCL took... Wow I take way too many pictures.

Thank you to all the great DIS'ers we met onboard and to all the new DIS'ers that were made from our short (wat too short) time on board.

We have made some lifelong friends and many we look forward to seeing on future DCL and WDW vacations.

Well it appears we found a glitch in DCL photo cd system. We had Taylor take pictures with her friends and we we took pictures with all the DIS members we were near in line. Well the photo recognition software they use associates the new people with our stateroom. So we ended up with 4 families worth on our CD. This is a record number of photos on the Magic. They said they are trying to fix the glitch but it works as of right now.

Michael - you & your family helped to make my week that much more magical, so no more talk about being too outgoing - it's just too much fun being with all the other adults when they transform into "big kids"! The pictures of you & Rose at Senor Frog's turned out great - now I just need to figure out how to to start a photobucket so you can get them. PLEASE be sure & include that one of our favorite cruise director in yours - heh, heh.

To all the FE's - what great fun! You guys are **so** creative. It was great coming back to the room and there was a surprise waiting. The night I was delivering mine I had several people ask me if we were all traveling together as a big group or if not, how did we know each other. Next cruise, I might just print up some DIS board cards to hand out.

Looking forward to looking at everybody's shots. Some of mine didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped....so I'm relying on my new "family".

Sending good vibes from Texas (where we finally got some rain this weekend - yay!) & starting to decide on my next one. Anybody up for the new Magic cruise to Alaska?
