WOW i have only been off since saturday!!! i finally finished reading. my new job is a ton of work (good thing as i get paid for how much i work, lol) new boss is buying me internet time onboard even though i told him it was VERY expensive i told him i would commit to an hour of morning coffee time only luckily monday is a holdiay! hehehe, got to add a cute smiley

i am not quoting because that would be a tremendous post..here goes, hope it all makes sense.

my family and beachlover101 are from Orange Beach, AL (and my husband is still home and watching both houses,

we will be at the port @ 10:15 or I will be the lady with the glowinthedark bracelets stomping my feet at the Radisson at the Port yelling (and whining with an extreme southern accent) how they told me we were leaving promptly at 10!

DD9 was named after the Tarheels (Carolina is her first name, she goes by Brooke)

DD11 was tiffed that I have not added a group name for the Ocean Quest gang, so I will ask her if she wants to come up with some. Shawna's DD is 11, too and a homeschooler so, there are some 'built-in' friend already if someone wants to list this group, we will think of names...

Welcome to all newcomers Please don't post that you got the TA rate (lol) as I am a TA and paid FULL PRICE (or at least mommy did) I have been on the phone for the last three days to see if I had any options (taking DH and dad, having to move me to their cabin for the $50 charge, etc...asking every friend we know to go last minute and putting me in their room, so please refrain from telling us all what a good deal you got as I will cry instead of enjoying this wonderful vacation.....

Bracelets, yes I have lots extra..about 20. they are $1.50 each and I have adult and child sizes. the adult fits my wrist fine and although the rest of my body is not small, my wrists are very small, lol...please pm me if you would like to reserve them if your name is not on the list on the first page and i will exchange them for cash at the port or at our meet

please pray for sickness...we went to cici's pizza last night (against DH's advice since we are cruising next week, lol) we slathered on the germx before and after...but I and DD9 have been sneezy the last few days..another chance for a cute smiley

I wanted to switch to Main Dining too, but I thought I would wait till we got on the ship. I booked too late and they told me that I will have to do Palo on the ship also. I don't mind. Does everybody have a Palo reservation?

Thanks for adding us to the list! I figured you had closed it but wanted to read through all of your posts and felt a bit like I was spying if I didn't say hello!
We will have our FE hanging and our door covered! Speaking of which, it being Labor Day and all, I would like to have a flag Mickey, I looked through as many posts as I couldn't and didn't see one, anyone? I have never had so little time to prepare for such a HUGE trip!

Keep an eye on this thread. I asked for DISers to post their patriotic Mickey graphics. I have seen quite a few of them on fellow DISers signatures, especially during the 4th of July time. Hopefully they will share them on this thread.

At least we have a time slot, though.

I know we have a Palo reservation on Monday not sure what time though. The regular dinner rotation we are in the 2nd seating.

We have it for Monday night also. We are scheduled for second dining on regular nights. We were not able to get the late dining at Palo, though. We want to switch to that so that we can sit with our DDs at the show before dinner.

I'll tell her! It's our 4th crusie aboard the Magic, so she can show him the ropes at the Oceaneers Lab. She loves to make Flubber!

Beau is really excited about his time in the Lab. Can't wait to make the Flubber. Since you guys are vets...should we take him on the excursions he is old enought or just leave him at the lab?

We are at 8 days and counting...we leave Thursday to start our drive to the port. Woo Hoo!!!

I am already dreaming about the first day of the cruise and getting so overwhelmed between the drive, getting on board, Palo Reservations, the dis meet, unpacking, sail away party. I am going to have to make a list!! So excited!

Hi all! Wanted to introduce ourselves and say hello, as we just booked this cruise a few days ago (at the TA rate, sorry Queen, but couldn't pass it up!) and I am now frantically re-scheduling appointments and meetings, cleaning house, and trying to get organized for this Magical trip.

We will be myself (DW), the DH, and the DS (who is 2.5). We are GTY in a cat 7 and don't have a stateroom number yet, and we are late dinner seating. Our last cruise on DCL was in 2005 pre-kiddo, and we pretty much sat on the balcony and drank by the pool.

This will be the first time we've done a cruise with DS, so hoping it will go well. He is a seasoned traveler despite being 2, we travel 1-2x a month, so he's used to being in new places, flights, etc., just worried he won't have room to "run free" on the ship like he does at the playgrounds at WDW. I think I saw one or two other little ones on the cruise list-- if anyone has tips to share on Flounder's or little ones on board, be glad to hear them. I've been searching for info on Flounder's and when you can take the littles to the Oceaneer Club for Fmaily time, but can't find a whole lot online.

Anyway, we're late, but excited, and would love to meet some DISers on the ship!

so far so good! I think he is getting a clue that we are going somewhere because I keep hanging clothes together. I have been making a run to storage daily while he is at school. The good thing is that we are going to WDW first so that will help with that. We are also going to tell them that we are going to eat lunch on the boat and have a "party" with the people from the Disboards. - This will explain the coolers that we will be dragging through the terminal. (Preston is very used to his mother "bringing the drinks") We're not sure at what point we are going to tell them. We are hoping to have our names announced and tell them then, but we'll see what happens. He is after all almost ten and there is only so much "covering" that I can get away with.

In response to mcarr1635's question, we are counting down the days until we are back on board. (mcarr1635, we are also from Akron) This is, I think, our 7th cruise - each one as "Magical" as the one before, although our first cruise was a 4 night Wonder. This will be the first time we try Palo - we are doing brunch on Sunday. There's always something new. I've always been kind of a "lurker" on the Dis boards. I enjoy reading everyone's comments, but I don't talk much. We were on the Wonder with our daughter and son and 2 grandkids, but since then it has just been my husband and me. You don't need to bring the kids to enjoy Disney.

Just curious?? Where did the name "dew" in dewrlw come from? My husband's name was Dewey, as is my oldest son's name - but we call him D.J. (Dewey Joseph).
