09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

Okay, so I packed most of our stuff - alcohol included- and to it to our storage unit. Well the last two weeks have been crazy, school started, my job started, Cub Scouts started (I'm a den leader, chaiman, advancements, and until yesterday the popcorn person), and I am a rep for Orient Expressed clothes and I have shows today and Thursday. Anyway, I LOST THE STORAGE KEY!!!! I had it and was going to take it to my car and it never made it. :scared1: Good thing it's now and not next Wednesday night!:scared1::scared1::scared1: I can buy another, but would obviously rather spend that money on cruise stuff. Wish me luck.

Hi Keggy, Since you are a local, maybe you can give me some advice. We are all arriving Friday afternoon by 5pm, checking in at the Residence Inn and then I thought we would go to eat at Coconuts on the Beach (because they have oceanfront dining) and then head to RonJon's to begin our souvenir shopping! We definitely want to see the beach. Does this sound good or would you recommend some place else. (BTW, low price dining is always good.)

Coconuts on the beach is a reasonaly priced place to eat and have a drink. One of the nicer beaches in the area as well. There are more that one surf shops near Ron Jon's make sure to look at some of the lesser known places to find cheaper Fl souveneirs.

I have to go to Coco Beach and Port Canaveral for work occasionally.

Hello, newcomers here, we just booked, better late than never, right! No cabin number yet but we do have a great fish extender from a previous sailing!
We actually have 3 cabins as we have 4 kids and both Grandma's wanted in:)

Welcome:yay: I thought we booked last minute - ha ha and so nice the grandmom's get along. Welcome to our little group!

10 days and a wake up left...

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I hope time on board does not go as fast as the time leading up to the cruise.

Welcome!!!

Unfortunately, the FE closed about two weeks ago. We are so sorry, Queenof 2princesses may still have cruise bracelets to purchase. Our Dismeet is scheduled for Saturday @ 3:00. Check out the first post for all of the info. We look forward to seeing all of you on the boat.

How old are you children? boys? girls?

Adding another cruiser :)

Hello! I think your plan sounds good! We have stayed at that Residence Inn before, the breakfast in the morning is pretty good. I would say to go with Coconuts, because 1 - you want to see the beach, and 2 - It will be a Friday night. If we were sailing on the Wonder on Sunday I would tell you to go to Grills. It is on the water, but not on the beach. You can watch the ships sail out from Grills and it is pretty neat, but I think your plan sounds prefect for a Friday night.

When you go to Ron Jon, stop by Cocoa Beach Surf Company which is right next door, it is nearly as big as Ron Jon but they carry Life is Good merchandise and some other beachy toys and things that Ron Jon doesn't carry.

We were talking about it today and we just might stay in Cocoa on Friday night too. There are some pretty good deals on rooms right now and since we can leave the car right there it would be a free night basically!

Kelly :)

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I was born in Melbourne! My grandfather was the base commander at Patrick AFB. We moved away when I was around three and I haven't been back since! Can't wait!

By the way, I just found the storage key:cool1:

Oh and my husband won't let me post my location. He said since I've posted when we will be gone, I should just tell everyone when we're on the boat. You never know who else is reading!

Thanks for adding us to the list! I figured you had closed it but wanted to read through all of your posts and felt a bit like I was spying if I didn't say hello!
We will have our FE hanging and our door covered! Speaking of which, it being Labor Day and all, I would like to have a flag Mickey, I looked through as many posts as I couldn't and didn't see one, anyone? I have never had so little time to prepare for such a HUGE trip!

Thanks!

Got home today and my DH had finished the FE's and we got switched to Main Dining. Both nice surprises after 2 weeks straight with no day off.

These last 10 days can't pass fast enough for me!!

Dreaming of the Mickey Boat.....

I saw earlier posts for "buckeyelabmom" - Keith, Erin
and "dewrlw", but I don't see them on the master list.

I've read through many posts - up through page 45 and I didn't see that they had cancelled :(
Does anyone know if they are still going on this cruise?

I wanted to switch to Main Dining too, but I thought I would wait till we got on the ship. I booked too late and they told me that I will have to do Palo on the ship also. I don't mind. Does everybody have a Palo reservation?

Explain flag Mickey please. I might know where to look for it.

Hey folks - I tried to catch up on all the threads - not enough time!! So are we decorating our doors? And what's the FE stuff? Thinking about doing the Dolphin Discovery at Cozumel - anyone else going? At Grand Cayman we're doing the pirate ship - gotta see my 4 yr old swabbin the deck. Is there anything else I need to know to be up to speed? We are celebrating our 10 yr anniversary - friends Donna & Owen are celebrating their 30th. btw, I am Rhonda and we're from the horse capital Kentucky! :goodvibes

Welcome aboard (sorry bad nautical humor). Some are decorating their doors, depends upon the person and how overboard they go (I go waaaay overboard).

The FE stuff is fish extenders gifts to be exchanged between the group that signed up to do so. Sorry but that list closed a couple of week ago.

The WDW Enabler family is not doing any formal excursions (financial reasons and we have a 4 year old that needs nap time still even though she tells you she does not).

The only realy important thing to know is the 3 pm meet and greet on sat the 5th. other than that read page #1.

WOW!! :yay:

Lise, :thanks: for the A-Z list!! :flower3:
Lots of work for you to do.:surfweb:

But so much easier to follow! :cool1:

You're very welcome. I might as well be productive while watching late night movies. :happytv: I managed to catch Pirates of the Carribbean last night ... arrrrr pirate:

Anyone else at Animal Kingdom Villas/Lodge before the cruise? We come in on Wednesday!

I really wish I had paid closer attention to so emails from my sis-in-law. I could have been introduced everyone so much sooner! Beau is excited about the cruise, although he can be a little shy. But I am sure he will warm up to all the children quickly. Please tell Sabrina hello for us, and we look forward to meeting at 3 on Saturday.

I'll tell her! It's our 4th crusie aboard the Magic, so she can show him the ropes at the Oceaneers Lab. She loves to make Flubber!

Sabrina is with Nana and Papa this week. It's giving me time to get us packed. Where is that other suitcase :confused3

Hi Rhonda,

We did Dolphin Discovery on my DD Sabrina's 5th bday (2005). Fun!

Ms Mary and I both have 8 year olds but her fiancé's DD Lilly is 4. Another playmate

Congrats on your 10th! We celebrated our 10th Anniversary on our 1st Disney Cruise. Now we'll be at WDW for our 15th waiting for Saturday to board our 4th trip on the Magic :rolleyes1
