Welcome to all the New cruisers! It is fun to book "at the last minute" isn't it? We did too! My husband puts a corkscrew and pocket knife in the luggage. We have never had a problem, but the check-in is like the airport, just no shoe removal.

This is the week I begin working on printing and cutting on the door magnets (thanks to creative team on DISBoards.) Besides WDW Enabler who will have a door anyone would envy...how is everyone doing on their door magnets?

The creative team on DISBoards is fantastic!! And so generous with their time and talent!!

WDW Enabler may be hard to top, but I think that our door will be pretty competitive!

I have had so much fun on this DIS! It is so addictive!!
I am afraid that I am going to have withdrawal when it is over.

Man, this makes me proud. To have others judge by the standard I have set.

That was only the first half of our decorations. We are trying to have enough to decorate the door diferently during the entire cruise. and besides it gives me something to do while we count down the days until we leave.

My favorite disigner (milliepie) is on vacation so the addition of new magnets will significanly reduce. But before she left she finished the DISigns for the surprise FE. They look good.


Now I am just trying to remeber who else I was supposed to make a FE for. I have all the pieces cut but cannot remeber who it was for. Oh well, it will come to me or they will say something before we leave.

On an unrelated note, i finished the 2 pumpkins for this year. Dang they are alot of work, but since they are fake they last forever. This year I did Cinderella's Castle and Pirate goofy with a candy. If you all want to see it just say so and will try go get some pictures soon.

I know there was a tally taken for younger kids and tots, but did anybody count the kids going to Ocean Quest. My daughter LOVES the cruises, but is so afraid of not making friends. She is quiet until she is comfortable around people. She is 12 years old and loves life, movies, and doing just about anything on the ship that is fun except karaoke, but she might be able to get talked into that.

My DD will be in Ocean Quest a good bit. She, too, is a homeschooler. She is turning 11 on our Grand Cayman day.

I just printed out my dining confirmation numbers, park schedule, and park hours for our week at WDW after the cruise. Now I have to laminate them all.

I'm sure you've posted this, so please forgive me for asking again, but where will you be staying in Disney? We'll be there the week after as well, and will be at BWV. Maybe we'll see you in one of the parks!

I'm hoping that we'll be in Port Canaveral by early afternoon as well. Even though we won't be able to check-in, my niece wants to check out Cocoa Beach and Ron Jon's, so that's what we'll be doing until check-in time. Have you heard anything about the restaurant called Fishlips? That's where we were thinking of going, but haven't decided on anything just yet.
I was actually thinking of doing the same thing that you're doing. We just decided over the weekend to leave our car at the port, so we'd have to take the shuttle, but I'm thinking about getting Mike to drop me off as well. But then, I'm wondering if either my niece or sister-in-law will need to be dropped off with me. Since they're in separate rooms wouldn't they need their own boarding pass? I'll send you my cell # in just a few!

We aren't sure what time we are getting to the port yet. We only live about 35 to 40 minutes away from the port, so I hadn't thought that far ahead yet!

We are.....

ME: Injured construction worker completed with cast, tool belt, and neon green hard hat w/mickey ears (of course).
DW: Nurse (traditional nurses dress) nurses hat (maybe even with minnie ears not sure yet)
DD: Little Dr. In scrubs, stethescope, and Dr. Taylor lab coat.

I even carved pumpkins (polyurethane) fitted them with LED lights. Now to decide which one to take to the party (I carve 2-4 each year, and we decide the one to take into the party to get signed)

DS's passport came today! Everything is now in order. The family spent the weekend at the Ron Jon's Timeshare Resort that is located right next to the Disney Cruise Line Pier. I can't tell you how excited knowing that in two weeks we would be driving through the pier gates.

We'll be leaving Orlando probably around 10 allowing us to get some lunch along the way and arrive around 1130.

Is the Mickey's not so scary Halloween an additional charge? We have annual passes but not sure that can get us in for the nighttime festivities.

Yes MNSSHP is a seperate ticketed event. the tickets are about $50 per person in advance and about $60 day of event. DVC discount $49 adults $43 children It is fairly (ok really) expensive but we feel it is so worth it. The lower capacity for guests, plus free face painting, trick or treat stops, dance parties, and caracters in costumes all added up makes it a must do for the Edmondson family.
