Dropping in to say "hey, great report so far". I am just days out from our next trip but I am already getting DH geared up to do WDW for Christmas 2008. I say we are going and he says we are thinking about it. Guess who will win this one. ME! I always do when it comes to WDW.

I just LOVE to plan and this is a ton of fun for me and you alike.

I just got 2 new books too, the Passporter Treasure Hunter for my DS 8 as he loves to read and loves finding treasure. He is so excited to find all the things he's been reading about. And I picked up a Disney w/ kids book too.

I'm waiting for the 2008 Passporter to come out and I recently joined TGM...wow that is helping a ton

Well keep checking. My BIG August post will be next week so check back mid week. till then....

POST # 5 of my PTR

It's the BIG August Post! Drum roll please....



Ok DISers, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday to me.... so what better way to spend my day besides taking the kids to school, doing and all the other non-fun birthday things Mom's have to do everyday...

MAKE THE DISNEY RESSIE! Yep, just got off the phone with a nice young man from the WDW travel company and booked our room, package and tickets for my dizfamily and for my DM too.

I knew that it would all be fine, not like I've not done this before, but I still had those little nervous flutters in my stomach. So I'm beyond super excited now. It's OFFICIAL now. We're going to Disney World in June of 2008 Yay!

So what do we have?

A combined ressie for us and DM at the POLY:
us-8 day/7 night with the DDP and 7 day PH for our tickets
DM-6 day/5 night with the DDP and a 5 day PH for her ticket

I won't indulge the cost

I requested either a ground or 3rd floor room, that way if our DS needs some air he won't be trapped in the 2nd floor with no outdoor access and I requested either the Saoma (near the pool) or Raratonga (near the main house & mono) longhouses with a standard/garden view.

So now the real countdown can begin with something like 284 days to go, wow that's alot. But it will go super fast.

So after I get off the phone, I immediately dialed DM and then DH at their works to tell them the news...left voice mails no fun there. So then I proceed to tell my DD #2 the 4 1/2 yr old that I made the ressie and now we can go to WDW.

DD: in a very excited wide eyed look "Today?!"

me: no next year after your birthday, after Christmas, after winter, after Easter, after DS and DD's birthday and after school's out."

DD: in now a confused look "so the next day?"

me: laughing "yes DD the next day..."

Ahhh till the next day....lots more fun and planning enstore for us and you who keep on reading. (Sorry dismom9761 that you'll be reading this when you get back, but I can't feel that sorry for someone in the World. JK)

Everyone have a safe Labor Day weekend if your traveling and to those in the Chicagoland suburbs if you suffered through the horrible storms last Thursday hope your well.

Ok hopefully one of my faithful readers can help me out here, either reply or PM....

Now I have tried on several attempts even going on the tech board and reading thru all the step by step instructions, but I still can't figure out how to post pictures in my posts? UGH!

I really want to add some personal touches by adding some pic's from our previous trips, non-faces of the kids, and some other fun tidbits.

Appreciate any help by anyone. Thanks. Just trying to build a better PTR one step at a time.....


OK sorry that was real corny (as close as I could get to corn, hey they're both yellow)

And now I have a DIS question, it seems to me the moreI post the more smiles I get, yes? But then why sometimes they seem to disappear and are not always at my use?

Here are some photos from our last trip to the World back in May 2005. If your remember from the start of this PTR we came to surprise and celebrate our twins 6th Birthday. This was their and our younger DD's first time here.

This is me. We were lucky enough to be at Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival. We just loved the topieries(sorry msp). I love the WTP characters and Piglet is my favorite.

Here is one of the pins we got for the twins when it started getting closer to their b-day. At AK they were greeted with "happy birdday" and at a CS (sorry forget where, maybe old Tusker House) a CM brought over a free cupcake and trading pin. At first the CM did not know they were twins, then came back with another pin. AWESOME!

Here is DD #2 then 2 1/2 very timid going up to say HI to Goofy, DH is staying right there.

This photo and the next several are the classic things one must all do while on your stay at the World, especially if your a kid!
standing in line, getting autographs, having your WS passport stamped, and taking a little snooze Notice DD #2's blanket tied around her...

Here is DS's favorite place probably in the whole World besides the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK.

Here he is looking down at the arcade, we didn't have time in 05, but it's on his top 5 for 08. I have buy tokens on my list!

This is from part of the family tour at the MK, DS is up the stage with Peter and Wendy, trying to figure out the clue Tink had left...

This is my postcard shot at Wishes. We just love that show, don't we all?

One thing we all enjoy doing is finding those Hidden Mickey's, especially DS.

Besides celebrating the twins 6th I got to spend Mother's day there, WOW! Top that. Well I guess my very first I was still in the hosipital after giving birth to the twins.

Another little tid bit about me: I LOVE the thrills, to bad I have no one to share the excitement with me. Yep I went down Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach Don't think you can see me but I have the bathing suit wedgie to prove it....

Last but not least I just had to include these 2 pictures of the kids sleeping at the POR....

Well, super thanks to DisMomAmy and Kathy RN for helping me get these pics on my PTR. I'll post some more related to the Poly planning soon.
