OUR SHIRTS CAME YESTERDAY! :woohoo: I just love it when I get any Disney mail! :) They are cute and the timing is good since the crowd is coming to our house this weekend. I wil send their shirts home with them to put in their cruise boxes!

Our lime green shirts arrived yesterday!

We just ordered our 6 today. I sent the link to my parents and told them about the planned meet. Not sure if they'll be into that or not, but they know about it. We also ordered some towels, since the prices seemed descent.

Info for anyone new to this thread . . .

T-SHIRTS:
For those who want to wear matching shirts with the other DISers onboard, below is a link to the site with the t-shirt we plan on wearing. Everyone is just ordering their own. But, make sure to get the lovely DISboards LIME color. You'll be sure not to lose your child wearing the shirt!

Adult T-Shirt: http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...ogId=10002&productId=1205621&categoryId=11862
(FYI: The site seems to be temporarily out of the Lime color for children. If possible, order them an adult size. Otherwise, keep checking back.)

MEET AND GREET:
We have planned a Meet and Greet for DISers. It is just an informal get together to put faces with names.

DISers "Meet and Greet"
December 8, 2007 (Embarkment)
3:00 PM
Deck 10 (Starboard)
WEAR YOUR LIME GREEN DISNEY SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FISH EXTENDER GIFT EXCHANGE:
We have planned a Fish Extender Gift Exchange. For those who have never cruised with DCL before, outside your stateroom door is a little fish on the wall that has a clip for notes from DCL. We are planning a sort of "Secret Santa" type game. Where DISers leave items for the people in the stateroom. Since it will be so close to the holidays, some of us are planning on using stockings to receive the goodies. However, you may use whatever you like. pfishgirl has started a list of those wanting to participate. So, please PM her and let her know you are interested. She can let you know whatever info she needs. It should be lots of fun!

If I am forgetting anything, other DISers on here please chime in. We've had some new people to the thread and I wanted to make sure they had all the info.

Hanging out in NC today. My DS and his DW are here visiting his Grandmother so my DW and I came to.

My job each visit is to update and clean grandma's computer.

Hehe, I know what that's like. I just took my parents computer back to them, after updating them from IE 5.0 because a lot of secure websites wouldn't work with it. They're still on Windows 98 and Dial Up service. I decided to de-fragment their hard drive, it had last been done 1098 days ago. I love being the computer resource for both sides of the family... I keep waiting for one of my nephews to step up and fill in my role.

:cool2:

I hope all you Daddys had a great Father's Day today! We celebrated yesterday. My family came for a barbeque. I showed them all their lime green shirts and all liked them. Gotta get them signed up here and chatting with you folks! :surfweb:

We're finally home! I-95 was a zoo from Fredericksburg, VA on north so we took the back road. It was tough. :headache:

Glad you are home safely, Brack. My family said traffic was awful coming down from WA Friday night and Sat. morning. Maybe folks traveling to see their Dads, that's a good thing.

:santa:

Hope all the Men have a Nice Daddy's Dad
Mine did work around the House fix this, paint that..
Me. I worked. Sold like 50 Hippos :woohoo: and I am on the Top seller's list right now for my store. :dance3:

I can TOTALLY relate. I am the youngest of 8 and the family IT person so I get a ton of requests for help and software. Oh well, it is nice to feel wanted. :)

TXTaylors5: Thanks for posting all the info! I'm trying to convince Jim that matching shirts will be fun, but he's not really into it (yet). It took me two years to convince him that wearing a lime green Mickey Head was alright!

I'll let you know about Secret Santa and fish extenders in a day or so.

Wow 50 Hippos! That's a lot of hippos. I would have thought dogs, cats and especially bears would sell more than hippos. What are some of the names they pick for hippos?

:lmao:

Out of curiousity, I had to Google to find out what Hippos were. I found a lot of links for the animal hippo, a restaurant in Spanish named Hippos, "How to Ship A Hippo" from USPS, the book "Hippos Go Berserk" by Sandra Boynton and finally I found some links on "Skipping Hippos". Is that what you sell? If so, they are soooooooooooooooooo cute!

Update: She works at Build-A-Bear. So, they were stuffed hippos.

Now I was imagining her working at a store that sold hippos! And I was thinking :confused3  why would one buy a hippo and where on earth would you keep it! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Thanks for putting my mind at ease!

I am really starting to feel like I am getting in vacation mode. I bought both my girls some really pretty semi formal dresses for our dress up nights. I was able to find several really cute mickey ties for my husband. Started taking inventory of all our summer clothes to see what pieces I want to bring. Boy it is sure getting exciting now. With it being December are any of you planning on bringing a jacket or sweater for being on deck in the evening?

I think pfishgirl still works at Build-A-Bear. So they would be stuffed hippos.

Jim really doesn't have a problem with being "geeky", he just doesn't like to conform. Much to my surprise, however, he's decided that he wants a tux for formal night. I wonder if I can make him a tie and cummerbund in lime green Mickey fabric (or any other Mickey fabric)? I could make myself a wrap in the same fabric to go with my dress for formal night! Wouldn't we be cute?

I think I'll probably just order the shirts, pack them, and then just tell him to wear it. He's color-blind most of the time anyway, so he may not notice. I'll just tell him it's the same design, but different colors!:rotfl:

Now if only I could do something about making the time go a little faster!
