I thought I was done too! We're just so busy with life and cruise stuff that I'm hardly on here. Boy, do I need a vacation

Just watched an online class my son's exteacher taught. She had fifty kids and errors on every page. Maybe she should do the curriculm. I am so glad we have a new teacher. New teacher told me not to worry about school while on the ship, just get caught up when we get back.

We've never needed bug spray at Disney - even in the middle of summer. Weird, because mosquitos are terrible in the summer time! I wonder if Disney does their own spraying - or maybe it's just all the pixie dust

I'm still here, still packing! Laundry is finally done, DDIL's wrist is fine, I have one more bill to pay and then I think everything's done. I still have to drag my knitting bag out of the closet so that I can knit my way to Florida again!

I am not sure reading the Total Money Makeover will be fun while on vacation. I bet you will spend less money though. You'll have to let us know if he has a lot of new ideas. I can always use help managing my money better.

We have gone through the classes and read all the books - he has good things and we do a lot of them - it will be a fun read if they are cruising on cash only and not putting anything on a credit card and have no debt (or at least one they will pay off right after they get back) but otherwise it will be a real downer

Can you post/bring a picture of your decorated home? It sounds amazing!

Thank you for the update. I will be sure to bring layers for everyone. One year at MGM we had to buy sweatshirts for the family. Very costly mistake.

we are bringing those thin silky long underware with us to layer that do not take up a lot of room and will keep us warm - might look funny with our shorts but hey

I have never gone to High Tea? Do you think they serve "sweet tea"?

I will be going to tea with DD(4).

I am with you on the sweet tea! that is one of the things I miss on the ship - no sweet tea - I have to make my own - you do know how and to make it taste good? ask them to bring you a glass of ice, a cup of hot water, tea bags - "brew your tea" and sweeten it and then pour over ice. (and btw - adding sugar to unsweet tea is NOT the same as sweet tea

Where are you planning on viewing the launch?

we are going to the space center - but will be at the visitors center - I know it is not the best viewing but we want to see the center and that is the only way on that day and we only have that day to do it.

Why is the weather forecast full of possiblity for rain in St. Maarten and St. Thomas in the 10 day outlook? I do not want to see rain! It is dreary enough here in MN. Will the weather on the ship be very similiar to the weather on the islands?

Should we anticipate cold weather at all in the evenings?

Hello Joy,
It'll be warm in the caribbean - especially for you, coming from Minnesota! The ship can be a bit cool inside during the evening. I'm usually more comfortable in a long sleeve shirt than a short sleeve one. Otherwise a light sweater comes in handy.

On the sea days, the Capt will do his best to avoid any bad weather, while still getting to our next port on time.

Thanks to Krisann's pre-sorting of the lanyards, we've discovered that they shipped us 5 extra!

If anyone would still like a lanyard, please send me a PM ASAP. They are $4.00 each, and you can see a picture by clicking on the lime green link in my signature below.

Krisann and I are working out the best way to distribute them. I have a 12pm manicure appt, and will need to board the ship right away. But worst case everyone will get them by the 3pm DIS Meet.

If anyone misses the meet, just call me in cabin 8582 when you have a chance.

I think I got enought sleep to recover from my mom's packing and I am in the mood to pack for the cruise.

It usually showers in the afternoons (I've been watching the webcams for weeks!).
I think it's a little chilly inside the ship and usually like to have a long sleeve shirt or a light jacket. It will be much warmer outside!

This is it--in about an hour I'll be pulling the plug on this computer and heading out the door. It's been a pleasure "meeting" all of you and can't wait to do it for real. If you're going to be at WDW before the cruise, keep an eye out for me. I have my Mickey Head name tag already attached to my backpack!

I am so glad you suggested train travel. I am now considering it for our upcoming trip to D.C.

We will be at Animal Kingdom Lodge on Thursday and Friday evening. It would be really fun if we ran into each other before the cruise.
