Am I the only one who doesn't take a Book on the ship? :confused3 I never find the time to read.. Other then the Navigator.. ;)

I don't take one either, Stacy. I'll take some magazines for the plane trip, and I've packed books for DH, but none for me.

When we went on Carnival last year, I did take one... but then, we didn't plan on getting off at the ports and weren't sure what to expect for activities. I'm glad I took it. :headache:

Let's See, I have a few odds and ends to do..

I need to Add the cabin numbers to the Secret Mickey list and print out copies for everyone participating

Print a Door Sign

Pack our Carry On bag

Grocery Shop for DS

and I think that is it :confused3

I bring a Star magazine on the plane. I'm addicted to the Crossword puzzle:coffee:

ok all the lanyards are separated, counted and packaged for each person. I will start working on the kids' inserts this weekend.

Good Evening All!

Just back from day two of mom's move. I think we got everything. I spent less than $100 for gas. Much better than the $2000 the movers wanted to move the stuff. I am a little bothered because I moved, unpacked and placed in a trash bag an entire car load.:sad2: At least she won't have to deal with the stuff in her new home.

I am home all day tomorrow! I will finish decorating for Christmas and start packing.:lmao: I will really start packing next Wednesday morning (we leave at 7pm Wed). I love the pressure.

Got my documents the other day. But more importantly I got my Spanx today!!

DCL really should include a letter with the docs that reminds you to put them in the packet you got earlier with the shore excursion info. I'm glad they send the info out early, so you can book online. But unless you put the docs and luggage tags in the foldover velcro booklet, they do look quite unimpressive. I would've forgotten about it, if someone hadn't mentioned it upthread.

Leaving work early today for a hair appt. I'll check in later.
Wendy

I bought pantyhose the other day... does that count??:rolleyes1

Hey folks!:wave2:

Just popping in here to wish everyone a great time! My DB, DSIL and their three children (Cinderelly in TX) are members of this sailing, and our family just returned from the 'Thanksgiving 2007' Magic. (Our thread is still out there.)

We had a great time! (I'm still suffering withdrawal.) Do not miss Pirate night on Deck 9, don't miss the sailaway party and try to secure Palo brunch reservations if you don't already have them. (We even liked it better than the Palo dinner.) Also, don't miss the Golden Mickeys and 'Dreams.'

Of course, many of you've already sailed DCL before and know what your favorite 'do not miss' activities are.:) (The upside to missing something? It means you'll just have to book another cruise!:thumbsup2 )

Have a good time, and eat some Mickey waffles for me. (And the stollen now available at Goofey's galley. I'm missing it already.:sad2: )
:thumbsup2

Again my computer is running really laggy. :badpc: it hasn't shut down yet but it feels like it is coming. My luck right before it is time to grab a Pirate Booty pirate:

:welcome: Nice to meet you

Most of us have our Reservations for Palo dinner & brunch already set. Some of us even have excursions set too. :thumbsup2

I will be trying for a High Tea as soon as I step foot onto the Ship

So what is everyone reading on the cruise?

I picked up the latest James Patterson book in the Alex Cross series, "Double Cross".

DH is reading "Born Standing Up" - Steve Martin, and "Total Money Makeover" - Dave Ramsey

I will be rereading Wicked and will read Son of a Witch. I also plan to knit on my way down!

I am not sure reading the Total Money Makeover will be fun while on vacation. I bet you will spend less money though. You'll have to let us know if he has a lot of new ideas. I can always use help managing my money better.

Jason I know nothing about cameras but I know a few things about housekeeping (best observed in the breach in my house :rolleyes1 ) and I hearby announce that I hate you (and/or your dw)! That floor is waaaay too clean and the rooms waaaay too tidy for anyone with children. That is setting the bar far too high, my friend! Whoa.

Um, nice picture! ;)

LMAO.....OMG, I was thinking the same thing as I looked at his pic!!! I have fuzzies and shoes and stuff on my floors!!

Hey, I just saw that there was a 7.9 earthquake in the Eastern Caribbean... It was a deep one, meaning that there is likely to be little damage.

It was a little off the island of Martinique. Here's a link to the Google Maps...

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=14.95... UTC)&ll=14.9513,-61.241&spn=2,2&f=d&t=h&hl=e

Seems to be about 200 miles away from St Maarten, and 300 from St Thomas.

Great! Something else for me to worry about. I thought they didn't get those there.:sad2: I already can't fly, drive the biggest SUV on the road, no trains...I am going to turn into one of those people on TV who can't leave their home.:scared1:
