I don't take one either, Stacy. I'll take some magazines for the plane trip, and I've packed books for DH, but none for me.
When we went on Carnival last year, I did take one... but then, we didn't plan on getting off at the ports and weren't sure what to expect for activities. I'm glad I took it.![]()
Am I the only one who doesn't take a Book on the ship?I never find the time to read.. Other then the Navigator..

ok all the lanyards are separated, counted and packaged for each person. I will start working on the kids' inserts this weekend.

Got my documents the other day. But more importantly I got my Spanx today!!![]()

DCL really should include a letter with the docs that reminds you to put them in the packet you got earlier with the shore excursion info. I'm glad they send the info out early, so you can book online. But unless you put the docs and luggage tags in the foldover velcro booklet, they do look quite unimpressive. I would've forgotten about it, if someone hadn't mentioned it upthread.
Leaving work early today for a hair appt. I'll check in later.

Hey folks!![]()
Just popping in here to wish everyone a great time! My DB, DSIL and their three children (Cinderelly in TX) are members of this sailing, and our family just returned from the 'Thanksgiving 2007' Magic. (Our thread is still out there.)
We had a great time! (I'm still suffering withdrawal.) Do not miss Pirate night on Deck 9, don't miss the sailaway party and try to secure Palo brunch reservations if you don't already have them. (We even liked it better than the Palo dinner.) Also, don't miss the Golden Mickeys and 'Dreams.'
Of course, many of you've already sailed DCL before and know what your favorite 'do not miss' activities are.(The upside to missing something? It means you'll just have to book another cruise!
)
Have a good time, and eat some Mickey waffles for me. (And the stollen now available at Goofey's galley. I'm missing it already.)

So what is everyone reading on the cruise?
I picked up the latest James Patterson book in the Alex Cross series, "Double Cross".
DH is reading "Born Standing Up" - Steve Martin, and "Total Money Makeover" - Dave Ramsey
Jason I know nothing about cameras but I know a few things about housekeeping (best observed in the breach in my house) and I hearby announce that I hate you (and/or your dw)! That floor is waaaay too clean and the rooms waaaay too tidy for anyone with children. That is setting the bar far too high, my friend! Whoa.
Um, nice picture!![]()
Hey, I just saw that there was a 7.9 earthquake in the Eastern Caribbean... It was a deep one, meaning that there is likely to be little damage.
It was a little off the island of Martinique. Here's a link to the Google Maps...

Seems to be about 200 miles away from St Maarten, and 300 from St Thomas.
I've got the last in the Harry Potter series. I've read it once, but it needs to be re-read while I have time to concentrate on it!
I am reading.....a Buffett, a Kellerman, an Evanovich, a Deaver and maybe one more.
I have been saving Stephen Colbert's I am America for the cruise. I pick strange cruise reading....maybe i will pick up a chick lit!
