I got a PM from someone who asked me to check out the Breakfast at Parrot? and a New Steel Drum band? Did DCL start this already? Here is the PM about it...

. . . I read in the Castaway Club Compass for this month that there is something new going on in Parrot's at breakfast. Report back to let us future cruisers know what it is - that is, if it is already happening when you get there. They call it something like -- Island Jam -- with Caribbean music or something. I guess DCL listened when people complained that the steel drum music was taken away from Parrot's....

just checking in - we made it to WDW later than expected due to plane delays but we are settled in our room and enjoying our resort. We leave for the space center in the morning. Even though I know I am getting on the cruise bus on Saturday I was weepy at seeing them and having to get on the ME and not a Cruise bus!

I got one door sign done but that is it! Oh and when I went to the fire safe today to retrieve our disney tickets left over from a trip several years ago they were not there! I turned the house upside down looking for them but never found them. So we are not sure what we are going to do now.

What is the Castaway Club Compass?

Isn't "Mickey's Island Jam" what they renamed the Character Breakfast? People say the characters come out and dance around and such instead of stopping by the tables like they used to, so I can imagine that they'd have music of some sort going.

No idea what the Castaway Club Compass is though.

Everyone is A OK, well except for my oldest, he was door holder today and he smashed his pinkie at school and his finger looks horrible and I can't give him tylenol because of his heart medicine but his teacher said that he never told her it happened, she over heard him bragging to his friends that his finger was pumping and purple.

I have the boys packed and ready to go but I have nothing done for myself.

Hope everyone is having fun at WDW, and hope everyone else has a safe trip down tomorrow and friday and I have my fingers crossed for us Saturday flyer's.

What time is everyone suppose to arrive at MCO sat. we should arrive by 9:30

We're packing today and finishing up some last minute shopping. I keep thinking I'm going to forget something! My mac has a stickie note feature that allows me to have a yellow "note" that stays on my desk top. I keep adding things as I think of them! At least I can't lose the note this way

Oldest DS has basketball practice this afternoon. We have to ship a few orders and I have to get ready to teach my World History co-op class tomorrow morning. I've decided to go help set-up, teach and then leave the boys there while I go do some last minute things. I'm supposed to teach a writing class, but my assistant is going to to it for me

PJ told me he plans to leave work by 1pm - we're hoping to be on the road by 3

Even though it's getting down to the wire, I can't stay away from the DIS

Started playing with my magnet stuff and realized I better stop! I've got some things ready to print - if I don't have time to do more, it will be fine. At least, that's what I keep telling myselft

I figure it's probably more important to have our clothes packed, than to have cool door decorations

I've just set up my flight info on flightstatus.com to alert me via a text message to my phone if there are any changes to our flights. Seems Midwest does not offer this. I've used AA a lot, and they had this service. We'll see how it works, I've never used this status site before.

DW and I are both off today to finish up things and pack the rest of the suit cases. Tomorrow should just be a relaxing morning, and we have to leave for the airport by about 11:30AM or so. No more packing until 2 AM, then getting 2 hours of sleep to race to the airport

Does anyone know if you can get cash from the Purser's Desk? On other lines, we've avoided carrying cash by getting what we need (and "charging it" to our room) from the Purser.

Does Disney do this?

Yeah..."scattered thunderstorms" are typically the forecast for the Caribbean...they go as quickly as they come...no worries!

I'd also asked that question. You can only cash a check for $100 for the entire cruise. You need a picture ID etc.
