:scared1: I was in disbelief when we saw the snow coming down at Texas Stadium on Thanksgiving. Of course we had to run to the windows to see if it was snowing at our home too. :sad2: No snow here. But, it was neat seeing it on the tv and knowing it wasn't too far away. :goodvibes

My DS said it only rained in Mesquite but that it was cold enough to S**W

:cool1: I decided to have us drive to Titusville to view the space launch next Thursday. I've researched and read so much online. But, has anyone ever gone there to see a launch?

This is something on my list to which I haven't yet gotten. What did you decide? Something I read said along the river in Titusville?

I am hoping we can go to the "Cracker Barrel" in Titusville after the launch! NOTHING like that up here, great homey food. :thumbsup2 (Not sure how far traffic will allow us to get, though...but if we have the dvd player hooked up for the kids, they won't care! :rotfl: )

DW was cooking a cake last night and as she pulled it out of the oven the door started to close up on her arm :scared1: .... off to the clinic with 2nd degree burns. :headache:

Owwww...sorry to hear that. I hope she is ok. This is a kitchen mishap that would happen to me!!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for the correction Krisann. I made the appropriate modifications to my previous post!

ok now I realize that I was thinking from my our first cruise where we flew in the day of the cruise! Your advice was for those of us not flying in the day of and not taking disney transportation. That now makes sense. That is why I was confused. Sorry . . .

We did go out on Friday to Best Buy and I bought Annette a small but very nice digital camera with 12MP's. I like it a lot. Here's one of her first pictures

One of the things I miss the most about Dallas (and OKC too) at Christmas time were the really "nice" neighborhoods that really went ALL OUT on Christmas decorations. We would ride out almost every night to look at different ones. :santa:

We missed that the last couple of years, we moved to a small town in 05 and got the heck out of there this summer. Not familiar with the Christmas stuff here, but it's a bigger centre, there's got to be more. I am looking forward to discovering the "good" places with the kids. In our previous home (before 05 we were living in British Columbia) there was one family that had a "Santa" out every night talking to ALL the kids who drove up with their families and giving them candy canes. They went through a LOT of candy (not to mention their power bill :scared1: ) but it was just lovely for the kids.

Cracker Barrel (YUM!). We already have a Cracker Barrel stop planned on our way to FL. :lmao: I wasn't sure about the traffic heading back to WDW after the launch. So, I cancelled our ADRs and we'll wing it for dinner that evening.

DS7 and DD5 just came in the office and both at the same time said "What a cute dog". :goodvibes

Dh also loves Waffle House. I liked it better pre-kids, I can't quite enjoy the "ambience" these days. But you can't beat it for cheap.

On our trip in Jan 07 the culinary highlight for the kids was the "gator nuggets" at Gatorland. We didn't tell them until they'd finished. "Tastes just like chicken". But they were pretty impressed with themselves. :goodvibes
