I'm the same. We liked it well enough, but DH said he really doesn't care about it, so I haven't bothered trying to make reservations. We might talk about it on the flight or the night before the cruise and see if we want to do something then. If we do, I'll go try to make a reservation once we get on board. Otherwise, we'll just enjoy all the other options.

That being said I'd BETTER be able to get a picture with Stitch!! Everyone has things that makes the cruise special for them and I totally understand people being excited about their dinner or brunch ressies.

Dennis and I would not care if we went or not as we have been several times and will go again. We LOVE it though and want my mom and sis to go since we are certain this will be their only time. Especially my mom who is 82 years old.

well it looks like we got upgraded from our 10 to an 8! It is down from the kids clubs which since our kids love them and we have agreeded they can stay till 1 am this time if they want this will be great! So we will now know when it is morning and night. Nice surprise but we are just glad to be on the ship!

Oh and did I ever mention that this cruise is also in memory of my mother? Her birthday was December 8th and she died 4.5 years ago at the age of 53 - she was my best friend (aside from my hubby) and I am an only child. She raised me from the time I was 6 when my parents divorced (father lived several states away and only saw him on vacations) so it has been really hard for me the past years. When I was a senior in high school she had planned to take us on a cruise but gave me the money to go to France for 2 weeks with the school instead. She never got to take a cruise. So this means a lot to me to be on it on her birthday.

That is so touching! Our DD, Sweetpea, who will be sailing with us has her BD on Dec 8 also!

well for me it will be moving over to the WB Repo cruise board to chat BUT I get behind so quickly on that one it frustrates me.

We are on that one too! I have given up until we get done with this one.

I am really wondering if we should skip the CB. I keep reading of continued disappointment. I know my DD will not care about the food, but not having the characters going from table to table sounds a bit disappointing.

What do the others with kids think?

I think kids will have a great time. It is just not a traditional character breakfast. Groups of adults only might not have so much fun.

Those involved in the secret santa, Is the list of staterooms being handed out at the meet and greet? We might not be able to go (we have our civil wedding ceremony before we leave port, this is to make it official, its a dcl thing i guess). And are people putting their names on the items or just dropping them in?

Is there a final count? we need to order our "stuffers" online

I am still collecting room numbers.. I don't have a full count yet.. Soon I hope.. Yes, I am making a Main List, then I will make a bunch of copies and pass them out at the Meet & Greet.. If I don't see you, I will drop one off at your door.. No worries.. you will get a list.. Enjoy your ceremony and don't stress over the SS.. I would assume since it is a "SECRET" exchange, we won't be putting names on them..

Just drop them in, you do not have to include your name. If you get to the port by noonish you should be fine to make the 3 pm DIS meet. The civil ceremony only takes a few minutes. Stacy will have the list and if you see each other in the terminal she could give it to you there also.

It is only on the 7 day and on sea days. I'm surprised you did not hear about it from your servers last year. We went to our first in 2002.

DH told me we did this once on our cruise in January for DH & My Double Birthday cruise.. I even have pictures of DS with Minnie Mouse in a Moo Moo type dress thing at Parrot

yep that one is over 35,000 posts - go for a 5 minutes on it and you get lost and behind! But after this cruise I will go back and try to get caught up on it. We are planning Bunko games and everything on it. I am bringing UNO Splash cards to play (waterproof uno cards - the holder even floats!) Our family LOVES UNO!
