well it looks like we got upgraded from our 10 to an 8! It is down from the kids clubs which since our kids love them and we have agreeded they can stay till 1 am this time if they want this will be great! So we will now know when it is morning and night. Nice surprise but we are just glad to be on the ship!

Oh and did I ever mention that this cruise is also in memory of my mother? Her birthday was December 8th and she died 4.5 years ago at the age of 53 - she was my best friend (aside from my hubby) and I am an only child. She raised me from the time I was 6 when my parents divorced (father lived several states away and only saw him on vacations) so it has been really hard for me the past years. When I was a senior in high school she had planned to take us on a cruise but gave me the money to go to France for 2 weeks with the school instead. She never got to take a cruise. So this means a lot to me to be on it on her birthday.

Im am so glad you got this upgrade, and your cruise could be even more magical. Your story is making me all teary eyed

well for me it will be moving over to the WB Repo cruise board to chat BUT I get behind so quickly on that one it frustrates me.

It seemed to take about 20 minutes before. I know Angie said there was a reservation opening for a table of 3-4, so I'm guessing they had a larger one reserved. And I know Stacy didn't have reservations previously, so they wouldn't have one to cancel. If Brack had one separately, that would probably be a table for 2.

We had just one table for 4 booked among us.

Ok, everyone's in bed and I'm sort of caught up...

Krisann, just wanted to tell you I totally understand doing the cruise "in memory". Our first trip to WDW was financed by a small inheritance from my mom; I thought about what to do with the (not-life-changing) amount of money and thought, Mom would want her grandkids to have something special...so that's what we did, and we told them it was a gift from her. Ok, now I'm all choked up...!

Emi, congrats on your first pirate!!

As for Palo, brunch and otherwise, eh, we'll keep checking and check when we get there...no big deal. I was spending too much energy, and I need to let gooooo.... . I will keep checking, though, it's kinda like the pirate hunt...elusive, valuable, capricious!

I do not know what the secret Santa is,

I do not know what it means to get a pirate,

I did read something about lime green lanyards. That is the extent of my knowledge of the dis boards. Except, of course, that tonight I found out and old friend will be cruising too

Please clue me in....

We got three magnet sheets from Michaels craft store, then went to the scrapbooking section and bought Disney stickers to decorate them. We're having fun already!

O.k.... I am fairly new to disboards, but i will try!

secret santa: Alot of the dissers are participating in a secret santa exchange, where you hang a stocking outside your stateroom and then you put little trinkets, candy etc in the other participants. I don't remember who is organizing it, or if it is too late to join.

pirates: I just figured this out i think, someone should post the pirate scores soon, but if you post on a multiple of 100, 500 or 1000 you get a "pirate". I believe it is Jsmom who is keeping a tally.

and im not sure about the lime green lanyard but i love pins!

I'm afraid I'm not good at explaining things. Earlier today someone did a great job explaining the pirate thing - I had been clueless for the past couple weeks when we booked/joined this motley crew.

Someone is organizing a Secret Mickey thing - we're not participating, but we do plan to meet everyone at 3pm on Deck 10 (I can't remember where exactly).

Someone else (Wendy?) is ordering lanyards that we and/or our kids can use to put their KTTW cards in so they don't get lost. They are $3 ea and we're paying her for them when we meet on the cruise. You just need to tell her how many you'll need.

Okay, if not by now, soon I'm sure someone will clue you in on the rest!

I bought a little white board and some mickey scrapbooking stickers that are pirate themed. I used them to decorate the white board. Sooo cute!
