I think it is totally random. First time cruisers were kept in 12s, many time cruisers are in 12s and bumped to 11s and 10s. Just pixie dust. So glad some of it found you! :goodvibes

Aren't you suppose to be in Bed.. young lady ;)

Thanks Angie :goodvibes

2 hrs later ..... I finally caught up... I cheated though I only read the new post and not any of the quotes, I figured I could figure out what they were quoting by their post....

OK bill and jason, I was laughing so hard I woke the boys up but I just couldn't hold it in.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Amber I did pretty good with collecting cars for the boys today but they are upset with me because I only found one of each car and they only get to open the 2nd car..... I found bob cutlass, ferrari f430, tj, dinoco chick hicks, piston cup pace car, kori turbowitz, RPM #64

2am and it's my turn to go to bed.. Good Night..

Morning Wendy & Jasmine !!!

Joanne,
I think you mean above the kids clubs and the theatre - one of the things that made that location so handy.

I just want to be sure you're not reading your deck plan upside down the whole cruise or we'll never see you!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Umm..wha?? Yes, you're right, I had to go back and look! Someone make sure I get to the boat drill, 'kay? I need extra help!

We were on Deck 6 near mid-ship on our first two cruises- we had 6083 the first time and 6085 the second. It was a fabulous location, and we've never been lucky enough to get there again. I really do like the inside cabins.

Thanks Beth and Wendy, I am feeling much happier now that I've sussed out the location, it really is a good spot. And I remember looking at the price for a Cat 11 back in Sept--we're saving at least $1000 and still getting that cat room. And had I actually booked something in Sept the location probably wouldn't have been as good--as I am incapable of deciphering the ship's plan! ;) And it's nice to see so many dissers as neighbours.

JoAnne must have talked to my instructor. :badpc:

:rolleyes1

Even though we ended up in one of the 12s, I'm just glad to have a cabin number. It felt like that was the last piece of the puzzle. Now I can print luggage tags, make up an emergency contact email for my parents, fill out my "box" document. :lmao: Kinda just cements everything and makes it feel like all the planning is almost over :)

I agree. It's much more real, between that and knowing the dining (thanks again Emi!)

Thank you so much for your response. It looks like we will have APLAPLA then. Not thrilled about being in Parrot Cay on formal night, but I am going to just go with the flow.

We are too, Amber, though we're there at 5:15 I guess. But I think maybe that makes it a good night for us to look for Palo once we get on the ship. We have 8:30 on Pirate night for dinner at Palo, which we're keeping in case there's NOTHING else (we'd just go for an hour to try an appy or something and see the place, then take the kids to the party). But if we get to re-book dinner on board, we may take the kids for dinner at PC, have an appy or something, then drop them off and head to Palo.

The only thing I get about this pirate thingy is that I don't get any pirates.

 Took me a while to get the timing too...I hit a streak (4 in a few days) and that was it! Good luck, keep trying...it's oddly exciting to get one! (Why I ask myself, why?? :scratchin: )

So, 1000 posts in 3 days, and we have 29 more days until the cruise. My math :teacher: tells me that we should break 20,000 before the cruise.

That is just a fun fact and not a challenge. :rotfl2: Everyone please walk away from the keyboard. :tiptoe: :surfweb:

- Bill

:lmao:

Ok, back to catching up...last night was pizza and movie with the kids ("Lady and the Tramp", so sweet  ) so I missed all the fun here. But popcorn and snuggles with my kids still wins over the dis, sorry! :goodvibes

Good morning!

It's only four Saturday's until we will be heading to the port and boarding the ship! Would that make it three more Saturday's before Disney for those of us who aren't going to the parks before the cruise?
Has anyone ever gone to the park the day we get back? We were planning on it last year and then    . The good thing about getting sick the last day is that my husband had to pack up the room. You wouldn't believe where I found things when I unpacked.:rotfl:

I dunno... I think Jason's was more sincere... It looks like Bill is just trying to see them in 3D. :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I just joined a few days ago and already I am behind on the posts!

Last night I got my tickets to the Very Merry Christmas Party on Dec.7th. So, it is up and at work by 4 am, get off at noon, load up the hubby and 5 kids for a 3 hour treck to the Magic Kingdom, party til midnight, get back to the hotel, up the next morning for the hour drive to the port. Whew, are we there yet??

Last time I was at disney was 9 years ago. If any of you remember that was the year central Florida had many many fires and it took a lot of firefighters to keep it under control. Well, after that Disney decided to honor the firefighters and emergancy personell, so they offered free admission to any disney park for the firefighter and his family for two whole months. And any disney resort was half price. Needless to say we stayed a week and had a great time. But my youngest is now 8 and she has never been, so this will be a thrill for her. :woohoo:

Whoa, that's quite a schedule! You'll be ready for that sea day! Your story of your last visit was very sweet.

Working on my photo files and ran across this one of JoJo a couple of Christmas's ago ... one of my favorites

IMG_2313.jpg

DD has a thing for poodles, her fav stuffie right now is "Pinkie Whitie", a--pink and white--poodle. (Who'd a thunk??) That is such a sweet pic. Tell her you've got a poodle and you've got a friend for life. You might want to tell her she's pink, though. ;) We had friends years ago, pre-kids, who had a white toy, probably the same size as your girl there, and they used a bingo dauber to give her a pink topknot. I told dd about that, and she's since insisted that real poodles can be pink!

The most?? Don't make me challenge you to a pooh-off here in front of Walt and all these witnesses.

Ok.. that really sounded not quite right.

Ok, I was drinking my morning tea on that one, and nearly drowned the keyboard. Warn a girl, could you?? :rotfl2:

I'm Pooh size AND I have some of that shapewear!! :lmao: :rotfl:

Ok, TMI for the dhs, put on the glasses :cool2: I was trying on my formal with dd (we were having a dressup party) and I pulled out the heavy-duty shiny-gold "shapewear" undergarment, which she has never seen. I told her it was my "fancy panties" to go with my fancy dress. She was in awe..."why can't little girls have fancy panties?" :rotfl2: She also has a fascination for pretty bras, one day she saw me with a similarily shiny-gold bra (you know what I mean, it's actually nude or beige in lingerie-speak) and looked up with big eyes and said "Mom, I love your golden breasts!" :rotfl:

Ok, so I have a survey that I want to ask of everyone. I am in the process of "acquiring" some music from the internet to take with us on the cruise and listen to on my mp3 player and I have a question: what recommendations does everyone have for "cruisin" music?? :confused3 I've "acquired" 3 or 4 steel drum band songs and some of my other personal favorites, but I'm running out of ideas. The music major in me is long gone and I can't think of anything. So please..... POST your lists!!!! :thumbsup2

Ok, so maybe I shouldn't have included that between replies to Brack and Robby... :confused3

I have a "Carnival 94" cd on my player that I'm loving, various artists; I'll look it up and post a couple of names, but I think it's in the car...Also I need to dig out the soundtrack from Lilo and Stitch and load it up, there's great music on that, from the Hawaian (sp?) Roller Coaster to some of the Elvis stuff... :thumbsup2

Good morning! I was 30 pages back catching up, didn't realize any one was here.

I've already got the webcam loaded, I think I'll be spending a lot of time the next few Saturdays watching "my" ship. She's still not in, but at least it's dawn now! (Kind of funny to see it was light here and not there...guess we're in a different time zone for a reason!) Yep, pretty excited!

I often go to bed the same time as the kids, especially on vacation, so I'll be wandering around early, looking for other early risers. You too or is this a fluke?

I love the morning "calm before the storm".

Question, can I buy a "themed" autograph book for the kids on board? It'd be nice to have something cruise-y...

They have pretty much filled their original ones with our first two trips.

I love the calm before and after the storm. I stay up a while after the kids are in bed and wake up early. Best of both.

I thought the ship would be in by now. Can you send me the link to watch the port?

Are you going to try to see the Shuttle on the 6th?

we got upgraded to a cat 9:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: right next to each other..:woohoo: :woohoo:
Congratulations Stefanie! That's great news.

I think we will try to catch the martini tasting this trip.:woohoo:

I did the wine tasting once, it was very informative. I may try the tequila/margarita tasting this cruise.

Ok I feel :guilty: guilty now for posting so many of these guys :woohoo: in my post, sorry about everyone getting 12's I was really hoping everyone would have been bumped up. I think we were only bumped up because it is our 1st cruse.

No worries, we are all happy for you!

Has anyone ever gone to the park the day we get back?

We've usually done the parks prior to the cruise, but this time we're going to EPCOT the day we disembark and doing the candlelight processional that evening. Then we have MVMCP on the 16th.

Question, can I buy a "themed" autograph book for the kids on board? It'd be nice to have something cruise-y...

They have pretty much filled their original ones with our first two trips.

They have autograph books onboard, but they are the same ones they sell at WDW. You could bring a photo matte and leave that at GS for the characters to sign. Then you could put your cruise picture inside.

Okay, I'm finally all caught up :faint:

I have left the Secret Mickey and Master DISer list up on the blog for info, but have added the following:

For security reasons, we will not be posting any more stateroom assignments here. Please PM your stateroom numbers to Pfishgirl. She will distribute a list at the DISmeet on Dec 8th.

Um wow...:scared1: And someone thought I posted inappropriately that I have a thong for the pool. Talk about really inappropriate for the DIS. :sad2:

Spanx is shapewear...something you wear underneath your clothes that automatically "sucks it in" for you. I think they were just using a little play on words, I don't think they meant to offend anyone...

And just like milk, Spanx does a body good!

Time for me to go get some work done around here. (We got a late start to the day.)

Have a great weekend everyone!:hippie:

Oh, my ds got up and I had to go watch Sat morning tv. :goodvibes (We don't get the Disney channel in Canada. We have the Family channel, a hybrid that has the good stuff during the morning M-F but seems to include mostly tweener-type shows on the w/e's...CBC kids it is today!)

I must have something wrong, b/c at 8:30 EST I'm still not seeing it. But this is where she was last week!!

http://www.portcanaveral.org/webcam.htm

Yes, we are THRILLED to be there when the shuttle's going up, I hope nothing changes.

Mmm, we've done a few wine tastings, hope we get to do another. There was something else besides the martini tasting, wasn't there? I don't like to taste my liquor (cover it w/ something fruity please!) so martini's aren't for me.

Good to know about the books. I'm still looking for something before we go, one less thing to buy, but good not to pin my hopes on something special. I might do the matte thing for a souvenier but will still do the books, my kids LOVE the hunt! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :tigger: :stitch2: :tiptoe:

Immigration/passport question.

I read on the main board about a 6 am wake up call on St Thomas for passport control. I know I'm NOT in the same boat (;) ) as the rest of you on that, given that we're "aliens" :stitch2: but in this case it looked like the US citizens had to get up too. True? Dragging people out of bed at 6 am seems a little, well, anti-cruise...we have little interest in St Thomas (less if it means getting up at that hour), if we're not getting off, do we have to do this?

I know there's some sort of pilot program that would affect us Canadians but I'll have to look elsewhere for that info!

Ok, so I've spent the last half hour going through my computer and I can't find it anywhere, but a couple of years ago, we went to Carmel for the day. We walked down by the beach and there were all kinds of "characters" out. Well, there was this one couple who had a little white poodle and they'd dyed the ears on the thing neon pink. I have a picture somewhere... I just can't find it :sad1: But this definitely reminded me of that pink poodle. :lmao:

You'll have to do it whether you plan on getting off the ship or not. Immigration has to clear the entire ship systemwide before they'll let anyone debark.

Last time we did the Eastern, US citizens didn't have to get up for it. I saw that other post and thought maybe the person was confused as to the question cause he/she was obviously not referring to the same cruise as the OP.

Someone else posted that you still have to do the St Thomas one, but they've done away with the one back at Port Canaveral the day we arrive back.

How cruel would it be for us to all line up, look at the DHs and say "Go ahead...tell us which is the most Pooh...."

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Well, since you guys are all married and in love with your Poohtiful wives, I would say it would be a compliment :goodvibes .
