I know what you mean. I wanted to hit a store or 2 today, but the kid are home. They had yesterday and today off due to NJEA. They were supposed to be with in-laws but fil was under the weather. They are taking them overnight so tomorrow Iwill go shopping...well food shopping at least.

Thanks for the concern MrsMork, but I was not kidding. One drink and Ambien is not going to kill me, if anything it helps slow my insomnia filled mind down enough so I can fall asleep. I still have woken up so far.

Ok guys reading this, sorry if this is TMI. I am mad about something today because a certain visitor came this morning and all I could think of was where I will be in a month.

So much for the planned alone time with DH whilst DD is in the kid's club. At least that is something out of DCL's control. I guess I will just go with the flow. Oh wait, poor choice of words.

I have to go finish the prep for tonight. We get together with the neighbors every Friday, I mean every Friday, and it is our turn to host and tonight we are doing Soup, Sandwiches and Smores. I made Paula Deen's Vegetable Beef Soup from scratch, bought cold cuts and pumpernickel, sourdough and white bread for the kids for PB&J and marshmallow and graham crackers.

Ever notice that packaged Nestle Tollhouse cookies that you break and bake never taste as good as when you make them from scratch.

Yes, those pre-packaged cookie dough things use artificial egg, and not the real thing. I think that' s a big reason why.
