You wouldn't believe all of the sunglasses :cool2: and camera lens caps!

I'll bet it is tons of stuff. We used to live in the DC area and the Smithsonian would donate "lost & found" after about a year of no claims. Lots and lots of sunglasses, lens caps and cameras! :confused3

Well, all I can tell you is I sure ain't cooking! Will probably do what I did last year...order from Boston Market. All you have to do is reheat. It was simple and delicious. Even the turkey breast was super moist and so good. I'm sure DD, DGD's and DS will be joining us. When do adult kids start inviting their parents over?:confused3

:rotfl: Guess what? DS just called and invited us to Thanksgiving dinner at his house! No cooking or reheating for me this year!:woohoo:

it is 34 minutes off :sad2: Strange random number but.. ok..

It's been off by a strange number close to 30 minutes for as long as I can remember. When they did the last big upgrade to the program I think it was right for a short time. I'm just used to it now. :confused3

Are you a Florida resident? I don't really want to move to Florida but I would love to get the discounts?

:yay: I do, I do! :yay:

Someone tell my headquarters that my next move should be to Florida until I retire in 3,768 days ....... not that I'm counting. :lmao:

I think we will start early this year just b/c we'll be gone for 2+ prime weeks in Dec. We don't get home until the 21 or 22, and I'm trying to figure out if we can still buy and decorate a real tree at that late date (they tend to be dried out by then, having been cut in early Dec...). It may just be the "kids' " fake tree in the family room this year, but at least we can decorate...

We have some Christmas tree farms not too far away from us where we could cut our own. Do you have anything like that?

Also if you do get one that's cut for awhile it will last for the few days but then you could put it in the backyard with bird food and peanut butter for the winter. We have done that sometimes. :thumbsup2

Hmmm :cool2: I'm 44 posts from my 7,000 post milestone and the next pirate: is about 50 posts away ...... coincidence? :confused3

The real shame is that I am at work and I do need to do some "real" work! :guilty:

So although she isn't here this year I can look back at the times she was, we spent together, and laugh about that 20 pound turkey that was on sale. LOL

I think you know it's getting better when you can start telling those stories iwth more smiles than tears...if you're not there yet, don't worry, it'll come.

OK, it is off to bed for moi. I have work for the next 3 days, and of course my full time job too!! Fighting with my kids!!!
.

Huh? Did I post that?? That's not my username! ;) Dh was away all last week and I DON'T "get" to go to an office or anything...just me and my darlings...phew, glad that's over! :goodvibes

I talk to myself all the time.. Sometimes even when I'm talking to DH :rotfl2:

Especially when I'm talking to dh... :confused3

Oooh, dare I post now?? :tiptoe:

Congrats Wendy!

Lets Pray for NO sickness to Spoil it :wizard:

Thanks for the reminder, gotta go buy some more Vit C for everyone. Anyone ever try that "Cold FX" stuff? It's expensive, but if it works ...

The really maddening thing is that our house is not that old. Only 30 years old. The person who built it was a contractor who built it for his family to live in. So, he used really good materials and everything has held up really well, but it seems alot of not standard size stuff. Such as sliding doors, plumbing etc. :headache: Oh well, DrHug is making it all work out, as usual.

Oh, my assumption based on the non-standard-ness. Glad you've got a handy guy...we're just really good at the Yellow Pages. ;)

:rotfl: Guess what? DS just called and invited us to Thanksgiving dinner at his house! No cooking or reheating for me this year!:woohoo:

...So I guess you got the right answer to your question!

We have some Christmas tree farms not too far away from us where we could cut our own. Do you have anything like that?

Last year we went to a tree farm and the kids loved it. New to this area so we'll have to look into it. We also have about 1/2 acre of unexplored "srub" behind the house that might be hiding a nice little evergreen...:tiptoe:

Especially when I'm talking to dh... :confused3

Me three. We have a little ritual now that involves me saying "Are you really listening to me? I'm not going to say it again." He nods absentmindedly. I say it again...he glances my way. I say it one more time and he actually looks at me.

Thanks for the reminder, gotta go buy some more Vit C for everyone. Anyone ever try that "Cold FX" stuff? It's expensive, but if it works ...

I use the "Airborne" stuff. Figure it can't hurt. :thumbsup2

They're all sold out. :sad2:

I found some plain lime green t-shirts at Michaels. I think someone else mentioned being able to get them at AC Moore too.

That would be me.. I got mine at AC Moore..

I'm sure any Craft Store will have them

I'm so far behind it's going to take a bit to catch up!

Hey Welcome! :welcome: Are you actually in the UK? I thought we were going to be the only "foreigners" trying to figure out those monochrome US bills! ;)

Yes we live in the UK (wish we didn't) - where abouts do you live?

Have been visiting DisneyWorld since 1999 (when children were little), then got hooked on cruising 3 years ago. If we do book this one then this will be cruise number 9. Most of these have been with family, but this time only my husband and I will be travelling.

Yes I did!!! My parents came down and we all went out to eat and did some shopping (scrapbook supplies!! fun!!!) It's always nice to get to spend time with them since I don't get to see them very often. With work and everything else that goes on, it's hard to get to see them and they are only an hour away!!!

I'm glad you had a nice Birthday... and spending it Scrap Book Supply Shopping is the BEST present you could ask for :thumbsup2 Next to a DCL of course :rolleyes1

Stacy, I had mail from BAB and I am going to get the polar bear. Polar bears are my favorite. For Christmas my daughter adopts a Polar Bear for me at the zoo. Some day I hope to see Polar Bears in the wild.

Yes, I was told at the meeting that a new booklet was sent out.. It should have a coupon with a Buildabearville pass or something..

The christmas outfits are all just so adorable :goodvibes I think I need more animals so they can each wear one.. :rotfl2:

Most of my BAB will be going South for the Winter.. DH is taking them with him to Florida for me so I don't have to pack them. I guess that means I will need new ones to replace them :rolleyes1

We had to cancel our adult excursion (no not that kind) on St. Maarten. :( Our DS2 has been real clingy lately and cries profusely when we leave him in the child care area at the gym. He used to be okay but all of a sudden he has started pitching a fit. We were concerned that we would be able to leave him in Flounder's Reef during the daytime hours for the time that would be needed so we didn't want to risk the St. Maarten excursion and the $$$ involved. So we cancelled the excursion and moved the Flounder's Reef time to other days. Oh well, maybe next time when DS2 is a little older.

- Bill

Awww.. that's too Bad... Is that was the one where DH & I were doing too I believe.. The Regatta one? :confused3
