We ended up behind an extremely erratic driver, so while my son was on his police radio calling it in to dispatch, my DIL was on her phone calling the local police. It just happened that there was a police car at the next intersection, where the driver attempted to turn the corner and ended up going the wrong way down Ocean Boulevard, which is a four-lane divided highway, causing a head-on collision.

Scary.

Everyone be careful out there. :grouphug:

Has anyone heard anything about their upgrades if they get them? Good luck!!!

How about those hoping for the private room in Palo for Brunch. I still check every day and night.

Ok, this is it. Post 10,000 for me.:surfweb: I guess I have been busy the last 3 years! :chat:

So, what to say.

:disrocks: We have made many real friends thru this Board and I am grateful to DU for making this possible. This particular thread started very slow and we struggled for a long time to keep it off page 3, but the past several months we have spent alot of time getting to know each other. I feel like I know you, you children, your parents and friends. I love hearing about your daily lives,:laundy: worry about your worries pixiedust: and rejoice in your victories.:cheer2: I really am looking forward to meeting each of you in person, seeing our dear DIS friends Brack and Annette once again, and getting great big hugs all around!
:grouphug:

Congratulations!

What a Sweetie too!

That reminds me... I should probably warn you all... I don't know if I've mentioned it.... but... DH is British. :scared:

Cool! :thumbsup2

The first church we pastored had a British family so we learned many of the English "ways"; particularly how to "hot the pot". I was fortunate enough to do a special sabbatical in London for almost 3 months as well.

OK, I'm back for a minute, taking a break from housework!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TINA!!!

To catch up--we're not dressing for Pirate Night, it's just not our thing. We may or may not go to the Pirate Party, but we definitely won't leave dinner early to get there!

DH still says his renting a tux for the cruise. He doesn't own a suit, but has some nice jackets and pants that may work if he changes his mind. I have my dress, but I still need some kind of sparkly pin or clip for the front so that I don't display more of my "attributes" than those of you dining with me will want to see;)!

The weather has calmed down a lot. It looks like we won't get any rain, but it's still really windy and very chilly. It was the perfect day to do all the stuff I don't like to do, like move the furniture to vacuum behind it!

So here's a legit question I've been considering...what's the consensus on pasty-ness? My limbs will be blindingly white in another month. Tan in a can?

Go as you are :confused3 Why be any different from the rest of us? :lmao:

Another question...rebooking.

And here's an even longer shot--if you're doing back-to-back (seeing as there are no 7 days from FL in August), do you get any discount for booking two together?

We didn't get any additional discount when we did it.

Was just wondering?

1. Do all men do the Tux thing for formal night or is a nice suit work?

2. Do many people dress for Pirate night?

Thanks

ALSO by the way, I've tried to search for my previous posts but it's pulling up nothing. How do you do this?

About half do wear a tux but suits are always fine. I have a tux that I like to wear.

I will be dressed as Mr Gibbs pirate:

DW's in Moundsville, WV for services tomorrow and I'm here in Baltimore for tomorrow. Tonight it is Papa Johns popcorn::

Yeaa !! I LOVE pins and I will be bringing a bunch to trade with CM or other Dis'ers and their children.. I won't bring my really good stuff so this way any Dis' Kids whom want to trade with me, can.. If they have a store pin and want my LE so be it.. I don't mind.. I trade cause it's fun !! :thumbsup2

I love pins!!! I just got some extra 25th birthday celebration epcot pins, and some pin celebration ones. I didnt think i would have anyone to trade with on the cruise...how naive i am when it comes to DCL!

Has anyone heard anything about their upgrades if they get them? Good luck!!!

Still checking...and checking...Hopeful something might happen with the room or Palo around 30 days. :shamrock:

Oh lord, bad weather AND housework? :snooty: Nope, good weather to try out our gas fireplace! Oh, and I picked up "Fantasia" at the library this week, we've never seen it. :3dglasses

Go as you are :confused3 Why be any different from the rest of us? :lmao:

Good to see you, Brack--you've been so quiet! Hmm, I dunno...I've got some self-tanner left from our trip to WDW last January...though at its current age I might come out orange... Of course it was so freaking COLD on that trip that my pasty limbs didn't get to scare anyone, they were hidden under pants and jackets as they expected for that time of year...

Mmmm. Pizza sounds good. popcorn::

I have been guilted by my co-workers into being a better wife and actually making dinners.
So off to be healthy and go make some turkey burgers!

(but i would much rather have the pizza!)popcorn:: :cloud9:

Enough of us around to hunt a scurvy pirate?? I've got to start making our pizza shortly...Papa Johns doesn't exist up here, though the commercials always look good to me! (I could get take out from up the street, but it'd be pretty miserable for the poor delivery guy this night...)

Ah, I'll have to be quicker--our population seems to have doubled while I was typing that last post!
