Stacy, it occurs to me now that we are on the early seating, so we couldn't be linked anyway!

Thanks for the offer, though! ;)

:rotfl:

I think I'm gonna pull a Beth now and say I'm not gonna get anymore and then really not get anymore. I'll just have to be more careful when I wake up in the morning. You guys are going strong around lunchtime when I'm just starting to check in.

The one I love the most is people talking about "desert (dessert)" I'm like... why are you gonna eat sand after your meal? :confused3 I always just chalk it up to typos. I'm such a horrible typer, I can even blame my spelling errors on it. :lmao:

I was taught that to remember dessert vs. desert, you always want 2 desserts, so the word should have 2 S's in it. :thumbsup2

The reason I remember that so well will become more clear when you guys see me! :rolleyes1

If we make it to 40 years, I guess we'll celebrate for an entire year too!:rotfl:

Me too. And soon, I think I'll start my gathering of these things. All of a sudden I'm running out of time!

We watch a lot of Travel Channel, HGTV and Food Network!

I remember Burns and Allen. My parents used to call my sister Gracie;). (Her real name is Maryellen.) I watched I Love Lucy last night with my granddaughter. It was the first time she had seen it, and she thought it was great! She said that she wished she lived way back in black and white times like when I was little.

They just don't make TV shows like they did back then!

Beth

We have 4 generations of I Love Lucy fans in our family also. Both of our DDs (ages 35 and 38) have the first 4 or 5 of the I Love Lucy doll series.

:lmao: I always played word games with myself growing up to remember things. The funny thing is, the word games were so complex, I should have just memorized things.

The one I remember the most cause it was complex was when I was in about 5th or 6th grade and we were doing European capitals. Switzerland... the obvious answer is Geneva, right? But that's wrong. It's Bern. And the reason I remember this is cause "Switz" rhymes with "Ritz," like the cracker. Back then, the catch phrase for Ritz crackers was "Everything tastes better on a Ritz." In which case, you might have to cook it and there was the possibility it would.... "Bern."

Yeah, I was that kid. :sad2:

I was taught Left and Right with my hands

hold up both hands like you're saying Stop.. where is the L that is the left

I'll list my All time Favorite bands.. but I'm not sure if All you :hippie: & Babyboomers have ever heard of them before.. :rolleyes1

Metallica
Guns N Roses
Dave Matthews Band
Bad Company
Linkin Park

Yep we've heard of them and DrHug, who is actually PRE babyboomer will likely have some of them rocking out in his car at one time or another!
