Ok, this is it. Post 10,000 for me. I guess I have been busy the last 3 years!

So, what to say.

We have made many real friends thru this Board and I am grateful to DU for making this possible. This particular thread started very slow and we struggled for a long time to keep it off page 3, but the past several months we have spent alot of time getting to know each other. I feel like I know you, you children, your parents and friends. I love hearing about your daily lives, worry about your worries and rejoice in your victories. I really am looking forward to meeting each of you in person, seeing our dear DIS friends Brack and Annette once again, and getting great big hugs all around!

This is the first group that I have REALLY felt connected to.. And I wish DS could come with us, so you could all meet him in person, but unfortunately School is way more Important then a DCL..

I wish we could ALL do this once a year, but I know not many of us between, work, school, home life, family, financial issues and everything else that factors in, it would be impossible for us to have an annual DCL week vacation together.. But you will always be in our Thoughts and our Stories for many years to come

Prayers for safety for all of you down there! We were hoping that we had made it thru this hurricane season without damage to our nation again. At least it is not hurricane strength.

Thanks...Hurricane Juan was pretty bad here a few years ago, before we moved here...I think people find it hard to forget, but it's a beautiful, sunny day today, I've got clothes on the line hard to think it could be different tomorrow!
