Hey, Wendy and Jasmine. Listen, to save you guys on having to go back and re-read everything, I'm going to go ahead and sum up the most important part: in honor of my 100th post, everyone got together and decided to let me have the next pirate:.

There, I think that about sums it up.:thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Had to pick DS up from school, he claimed upset tummy. Seems fine to me.

Oh, sorry...too much of that this time of year. Of course the time you send them in anyway is the day they fall asleep over their lunch kit with a fever...oh, wait, that's ME! Hope your guy feels better.

We need to go to the apple farm and pick up Honeycrisps for Thanksgiving pies. Yummer! Maybe I'lll see if DrHug wants to do that when he wakes up instead of working on the house. :rolleyes1 The last couple of weeks we have taken Friday as a rest day and worked hard on Saturday and Sunday. :thumbsup2 Us old folks just can't hit it hard every single day! :sad2:

I just realized I haven't eaten dinner yet. (Jasmine ate at a friend's house.) I need to get something to eat and will be back in a bit.

Okay, I'd like to start a game...popcorn::

What is your favorite new TV show?

What is your favorite old TV show that's still on the air?

What is your favorite TV show ever, on air or off?

Hmmm...I like Journeyman.

DS's friend is here, you know the one, It is sooo nice to seem him out of his house.. :thumbsup2

He made a Pit Stop on his way to picking up his SR Pictures and he needed to show his "Mom" :goodvibes

His Mother is apparently Now on Medication.. :rolleyes1 Of course she blames HIM that she NEEDS medication :sad2:

He is about to leave, so he doesn't get into trouble, Fed him a slice of Pizza that DS brought home from work last night.. DS's says his Boss is trying to Fatten him up.. popcorn:: He is told to always take home the left over Pizza he has set out in case anyone comes in for a Slice and a Soda..

I just learned how to do this last week when someone else asked, and I feel like a genius! (Hey, doesn't take much!)

As you're reading through posts, there are "buttons" down in the left corner, one is quote one is +" and the third one is...the pen and sheet, the quick reply. When you see a post to which you want to reply, hit the MIDDLE one (+'"). Then when you've done that for all the posts you want included, hit the regular "post reply" button down on the left corner. Then you can just type between them.

Now, how you break up one post for replies without your typing just being in the middle of the quote...:confused3
Maybe Beth will volunteer! :worship:

You can use the actual html coding for that. Each part you want to quote has to begin with [ quote ] (but without the spaces in it and end with [ /quote]. The word tells it to turn it "on" and the / tells it to turn it "off."

Yeah, I'm not super organized with it. I know general numbers, so when I go out, I buy that number of stuff. heh. When it's a kid's thing, I try to get appropriate number of girl things vs boy things. :)

The one I love the most is people talking about "desert (dessert)" I'm like... why are you gonna eat sand after your meal? :confused3 I always just chalk it up to typos. I'm such a horrible typer, I can even blame my spelling errors on it. :lmao:

Wow that is a nice long pirate: post!

The local farm stand is advertising Honeycrisps; are they good? I like galas, if that's a comparison point.

My mom was "Mom" to a lot of kids too, and she really helped some of our friends with screwed-up families. Glad he's got somewhere to go, even if he still has to go "home". :flower3: Good for you. Maybe his mom's meds will help...

Our story. Dennis and I were chatting and having a great time and he was not paying attention to his speed. Trooper Turner stopped us and had a chat about that. :rolleyes1 He wrote a ticket and in Oregon if you go to court they will cut the fine in about half so we decided we would go. Well, Trooper Turner had written the date to appear on a Monday HOLIDAY! Court should be closed on Martin Luther King Day. We weren't sure though and went to the courthouse anyway. It was about an hour drive, but we were off work anyway and we were together so it was a nice drive. :) The court was of course closed, there was a camera by the front door, I looked straight into the camera and :confused3 . We then called the court on Tuesday and said, we were there..... So, all those tickets that Trooper Turner wrote that particular day (yep he put that court date on all he wrote that day) had to be reviewed by a judge and then the judge decided whether they would be rewritten. I'm not sure how the law goes that would allow that, but..... most of them, including Dennis'. were just dismissed. :woohoo: I bet Trooper Turner never made that mistake again after his chat with the judge! :rotfl:

I have a ticket story too. I was commuting from Jersey City to Brooklyn, we would drive though Bayonne to SI to Bklyn. There was a stretch of road that was a known speed trap. I had 3 carpoolers in my car with me and we were stopped. We were all suprised, since with all the traffic, it is impossilbe to do the speed he claims I was doing. He also wrote the ticket for not the first level, but for 1 mile into the second level of speeding, so that if I negotiated it would be brought down to the first level and not anymore. I was really upset.

I went to court, and the officer never showed. I sat there for hours, I was really annoyed, since I was a single parent at the time and had to get home. I was told that since the officer wasn't there it would be rescheduled, and I would be notified.

Well I never heard anything until 3 years later, when I got a bench warrent for my arrest at my former address. I was like what??? I went to the court, explained that I never got a notice to return, and they gave me a letter to carry with me in case I get stopped. I was also given a new court date.

Went back to court (now last time I had witnesses, my carpoolers, with me. I was now at another job and didn't have them anymore), and started explaining about 3 years ago, and the judge stopped me. He asked me when I received the ticket, and I told him, he then looked at the public defender in the courtroom and said isn't there a statue of limitations on traffic fines?? They both laughed, and I just stood there an smiled. The nasty prosecutor, didn't want to drop it. She wanted something, so I pleaded guilty to a 20.00 parking fine or something like that. SOmething that had no points, and I siad yes just to get out of the courtroom and end it!!!
