08 DEC 2007 - 7 Day Eastern Magic Part 2

It is that wonderful fact that will keep me from having to pack too much in December. Counting the cruise we are at Disney for 16 days. Being able to wash :laundy: some thngs will help greatly. :thumbsup2
As I previously stated, that was a BIG plus for me on joining DVC. Last year, I was doing laundry the first day onboard because we had been to WDW the previous week. It will be nice knowing, I can pack half the items on future WDW trips and can do laundry while there. My poor washer and dryer has been going all day today. :laundy: Is the laundry facility for the Studios free? Meaning, do I have to put money in the machines? Also, do they provide the laundry detergent like they do in the other Villas? We get to stay in a Studio until DS2 turns 3. So, we plan to stay in one of those until we have to stay in a one-bedroom.

We rent movies from the "Red Box" for $1 a night per movie. It is located in the lobby of the McDonalds near our house. So my DW asked me to take one back.

Oh by the way she says "how about a hot fudge sundae made with chocolate ice cream?" OK. I get there and sure enough the poster says two for $2. It shows hot fudge with chocolate ice cream and caramel with vanilla ice cream. So I order these. The young girl tells me "we do not have chocolate ice cream." I say "the poster shows chocolate ice cream." "No" she says "it's just hot fudge topping." "No" I say "the poster shows chocolate ice cream with fudge topping." She turns to look at the poster then turns back to just stare at me. :confused3 Finally I say "I'll take them with vanilla then". She goes off to make them. :upsidedow

:lmao:

I love stuff like that. The oblivious ignoring the obvious. I always think I'm on some kinda hidden camera show.

The machines are free but not the detergent. We bring some of our own from home in a zip lock bag. For just the two of us we will only do a couple of loads so we don't need a lot of detergent.

It would be a great Candid Camera gag and I would have been a great catch for them. :lmao:

I was looking through the "trial and travel" section at Wal-mart the other day and found a little bottle of All Small & Mighty or something like that. It's only the size of a travel size shampoo, but says it's two loads worth. I've used it at home before in the 3x concentrated version, so I'm guessing that's what it is. I probably won't do laundry on the cruise, but it was so small and it was right there, so... :rolleyes1 No harm in throwing it in the suitcase just in case. :thumbsup2

Here's a not so hidden Mickey at the VWL

But do you see the hidden face in the beam under the Mickey? I distinctly see two eyes, a long nose, and a rather big smile.

If you're flying (and I'm sure you all are from SoCal) make sure that it is not in your carry on but in the cargo. That liquid thing you know. :confused3

Could be! :goodvibes I need to go back now and check it out.

I've done 9 of the 25 DVD copies I need to make. I'm going to be at this for awhile. :surfweb: :coffee:

Yeah, we travel so much that we have a system down pat. I usually end up packing DH's bag when he goes somewhere overnight for business and he always knows which pocket to reach into to put his hand right on his quart size ziploc bag. ;)

Trips like this are actually a bit different for me as we're used to just traveling with carryon luggage. My family is always surprised when I come home for 2 weeks with one little 18" roll aboard. I also did a two weeks trip to France with just the carryon. :thumbsup2 I love the challenge. :lmao:

Good thing that I can DIS and burn at the same time. :thumbsup2 :surfweb:

I'm just DISing and burning time at the same time. :lmao:

I tell myself that I'm waiting for an email I need, but I'm guessing I could do laundry while I'm waiting for the email if I made myself. :laundy:

DISing is a little more fun. :cheer2:

I've always wanted to go to WDW with just a small rolling case but my DW want let me. :confused3
