My concern for a Back yard BBQ is we don't have the room really.. I can rent tables and chairs and a tent so I wasn't really worried about the furniture situation but we don't have a big back yard.. add a few tables and there is no where to even play any games for the family with smaller kids..

As for the Beach.. DS doesn't enjoy the beach..

:guilty:

But thank you for suggestions because I really am clueless

I started a thread on the regular boards for suggestions

I guess I quoted you too soon :rolleyes1

Well I was looking at it like this... If my son ever gets married, I won't be included in the Planning of the Wedding Reception... so this will be his Last event I can give him :sad1:

Not necessarily! We were very involved with our future DIL and their reception plans. We paid for some of it as her family was not able to contribute much and she was trying to pay for most of it herself. I also got to have her bridal shower at our house and she gave me free reign on planning that. We had a Tea Party! Everyone was required to wear a hat and if you did not have one, we provided one. We held it in a small yard we have that is surrounded by lilac bushes. It was very, very fun. Oh, and I set up a small child's table and we "invited" her Pooh and Tigger to join us.:thumbsup2 So, you could still get to plan events.:)

As I recall it was a dry rain that lasted just a short time, but long enough to make an outside wedding iffy so it was moved inside.:thumbsup2

Speaking of wedding.... Where is our Bride to Be ?? :bride:

I was reading in the Passporter that....

You will be married BEFORE the cruise.. "Those getting married should note that you'll have a private, legal ceremony in the cruise terminal before your ship leaves Port Canaveral"

The Public ceremony typically is held Deck 3 forward in "Sessions" on the Magic or "Cadillac Lounge" on the Wonder.. or they will do it on Castaway Cay.. at the Head's Up Bar at the far end of the family beach..

Awww that does sound like alot of fun... I'd love to host a Tea Party with Fancy hats or costumes :goodvibes

Think DS would go for that for Graduation? :rolleyes1

Nicely done Brack. I'm assuming that was your son with you on the 5th slide? I think that's about when I saw you and him... he looks just like you.

It is my son and there is no way that I could disclaim him .... even if I wanted to. He is a great young man and I am very proud of him.

He still likes going to WDW with his "old" parents.

The board seems slow today. At first I thought it was our network connection but other web sites are not running slow. :confused3 :surfweb:

I don't want to complain too much though. The last "saving" measure they did was to shrink our signature blocks. Mine is downright skinny.

I wish I could that with my body! :rolleyes1

The office is working ferverishly in year end finance record keeping "stuff"! It is nice to take a DISbreak. :surfweb:

I just received a call from my 'sweetie'. Today she and the other women staff officers are in Charleston, WV doing reviews. Tomorrow it's Clarksburg, WV and Wednesday it will be Hagerstown, MD (I think).

All I know is that she is home Wednesday night. :woohoo: No more McDonald's for awhile. popcorn::

Does that mean you are giving up on getting Boardwalk?

No way! but last night I must have ordered the wrong things because none of it came with tokens. I was not happy when I got back home. :headache:

Yes, the "legal" ceremony is done at the terminal.

Brack, On your group photo (in lime green shirts) where is Angie and Dennis? I see you and your lovely wife.

It's because they have started limiting the amount of space at the bottom of the posts (signature lines). If you edit your signature and put the two bouncing pumpkins side by side then it will fit. :thumbsup2
