This is our first cruise ever so this cleared things up alot. I dont know what i was imagining, but this makes alot more sense!

I need to start working on my door sign, what software is easy to use for this? I like the idea of the mickey paint sample cards

Print Shop or Publisher will work well

The answer is: "yes" I am bored being alone but it is getting late so this is goodnight.

Until tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Jasmine you should be able to pick up the next pirate: Good luck :thumbsup2

Oooh, that's right. They said the new sig regulations were going into effect on Wednesday. Guess now we can tell how big is too big. ;)

:wave2: Evening All! Anyone online this evening? I am trying to get together some information for our upcoming WDW trip. Every time I tried to look up information today, a child would appear out of nowhere. So, I had to keep minimizing the window. Finally, all the munckins are in bed! :dance3:

Right on cue, DD5 just appeared downstairs. I need to go put her back to bed real quick. BRB

brack I don't think your siggy met regulations becuse someone stole mickey and minnie's feet.....:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
:rotfl:

:badpc: I just finished "fixing" our signature. The new format was cutting off half our signature. At least I won't get a PM this time from the Moderators about our signature being too long. I am more of a visual person. So, I kept tweaking it until it all fit. :thumbsup2

I'm here!

But I wouldn't be much help with a trip to WDW. I've only ever been twice :rolleyes1

Hi Julie!

I am just creating "another" spreadsheet with park hours, parade times, fireworks and any confirmation/reservation numbers we have for this weekend. I like to keep it on one sheet and have it as a guide. The first time we went to WDW, we didn't have a plan. We didn't make any ADRs or an outline of what we wanted to do. So, I have learned from that experience. Last year, we went during Thanksgiving week. WDW was crazy full of people. I couldn't get any ADRs. So, I don't know if I am overplanning this or just try to make sure we get everything accomplished we want out of the trip. We only have one ADR made for this weekend. Bill really wants me to try this restaurant at Epcot. We already have an ADR for them in December too. So, we'll see if we keep the reservation.

Julie:

Since you live in Southern California, is it safe to say you've been to Disneyland and California Adventure? We can't wait to make it out there with the kids. :cloud9: One day. . .

Spreadsheets sound like a really good idea! It's so nice that you and Bill both share the excitement. DH would think I'd gone crazy if I started making spreadsheets. So I keep my little planning folder a secret from him. :rolleyes1

I was thinking that we should go down to DL sometime before the cruise just to get us in the mood. We've lived in LA for 3 years now and not gone yet, so it's about time. I was thinking this time of year would be less crowded as well... as long as we don't go on a holiday weekend. :wizard:

I attemped to get off the computer to go bond with the df, but i found him playing video games :rotfl2: so i wound up back here

:lmao: That is how I have ended up back on these boards too. When DH and DS7 get to playing XBOX 360, they lose all track of time and their environment. Like I do on the DISboards. . . :surfweb:

Yes, Bill is a Disney fanatic too. He is the one who got me the WDW Passporter books and found this website. I am so happy we both enjoy the "magic" of Disney and can embrace being a child again as soon as we walk through the turnstile at MK. When Bill came back from our trip last year, every one told him he looked younger. WDW and the cruise were big stress relievers. It was great to see him have fun with the kids. I am with them all day. So, it was nice to have the family bonding time. That is why we are seriously considering the DVC.

The whole reason I insisted on our first cruise was because I figured it was the only way that DH could be completely cut off from work and actually relax. Of course since then, they've added the internet service and the cell phone service at sea. He still does less for work when we're on a cruise than when we take other vacations though, so it's the best I can do.

I just asked him about going to DL this weekend and he didn't seem too enthusiastic. It's hard for him to think about fun stuff during the week though when he's consumed by work.

Jennifer -

I remember you referring to your family as The Incredibles once. I saw a post over on the DISigns board that made me think of you. It's at http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1589193 post #8. I bet she'd personalize it for you if you wanted to print it for a door magnet!
:thumbsup2 Thank you for the link. I copied the picture and WILL make another stateroom sign for us. I like that picture better than the one I have. We were watching The Incredibles not too long ago. We have family movie nights and that was the movie the kids wanted to watch. I counted their family member (5) and then noticed they had two boys and one girl. So, a lightbulb turned on above my head. . .

We are The Incredibles!

Thank you again for the link. I am going to look around it some more to see if it can give me anymore ideas. I love to see other people's creativity. :artist:

:surfweb: Bill already told me he is leaving his laptop at home and will turn of his cellphone once onboard. He will have someone as "acting" Manager while he is gone. They'll have to put out all the fires while he is away. They are always very happy to see him when he returns from vacation. You never know how much some really works until they go on vacation and you have to fill in for them. Some things look easier than they really are. So, I am glad he is willing to shut-off the "outside" world while on vacation with the family and focus on us and having fun! :cool1:

Your DH doesn't want to go to DL? Sorry. :sad2: I'd go in a hearbeat! So, would Bill (reason 1,000,001 why I love the guy!) Like you mentioned, he may just be tired from work when you asked him. Bill comes home plenty nights drained from work and having to deal with people. How far of a drive would it be for you? Are you going to WDW while in FL this December? There seem to be a few people that are skipping WDW this December. I can honestly see how that could happen. A week at WDW and then a cruise is taking a lot of vacation days and $$$$$$

Evening/Morning Wendy! I haven't been online at the same time as you in awhile! I've actually been sleeping! But, this evening I am trying to get some things straightened out for this weekend. The kids still don't know! :cool1:

- Jennifer

Wendy,

It is cut off now because of the new signature sizes. But, I saw SSR in your signature earlier today and wanted to "officially" tell you. . .

:cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DVC MEMBERSHIP! :cheer2:
