My suggestions:

The DIS meet on Embarkation Day

In front of the Mickey Statue on Formal Night - Trying to time it between the 1st and 2nd seatings, but without interfering with Golden Mickeys???

Pirate Night - 8pm? Any ideas where?

DH would take ALL of our pictures.. He says he isn't a Dis' member anyway.. He is simply guilty by association

Can we use the Deck where the Pirate party is held ? Like before the party starts ? Since it will be decorated.. Or will it be too dark ?

This is a good spot for Pirate Night. Our group this time is not quite as large so it will be easier from the floor and the balconey. :thumbsup2

Its hard to plan a lot of this stuff before we board. Maybe we can decide on a daily meet time like maybe 10pm after the 2nd show and late dining. If folks show up fine, if not no problem. But just a place to touch base, have a drink, and talk about the next days plans.

Plus we could do a phone tree to help pass messages onboard, since we'll have voicemail in the cabins.

Maybe at one of the clubs each night or Cove Cafe? :coffee:

Busy day at work, but I couldn't resist logging in for a few minutes....

So what does everyone think about the 2009 and 2010 rumors? I've already done Alaska, and just can't get excited about it. I think we'll wait on that until after DCL has at least one season under their belt. But we could still do the Panama Canal next year.

And I think Hong Kong in 2010 sounds great! We are due to move back to the States in July 2010, so we'd just need to do the cruise after that. If we do Tokyo Disney and Disneyland Paris next year, and Hong Kong Disney in 2010 we'll have hit all the parks!

Those DVC points are definitely going to be coming in handy!

I think that if DCL announces an Alaska cruise we will find a way.

I really, really want to do a maiden voyage on one the ships. :thumbsup2 In the Navy if you sailed on a "Maiden Voyage" you got a certificate for being a "Plank Holder". How cool would that be? :woohoo: :yay:

I so want to visit the Tokyo and Hong Hong parks. They are the only ones we have not visited yet!

Oh someone asked about who would take our group photos....

As a former CM, I still automatically volunteer to take the picture when I see Dad or Mom lining up the rest of the family for a shot. One of the first things they teach you in Disney University. :rotfl2: :lmao:

My DW does this all of the time and she has never been a CM ..... but she would make a nice one someday. :thumbsup2

Just in case I'll bring my tripod. :thumbsup2

DH & I would LOVE Alaska... :cloud9: It's one of our "must see" spots

DH also stated who doesn't care where the New ships go, he plans on being on them.. but Hong Kong ? I dunno :confused3 I would Love to go to Hong Kong and DH has told me he doesn't ever plan to go to Europe but maybe just maybe DCL will be able to persuade him.. :rolleyes1

Hmm... let's see if I can make a new conversation starter as I get closer to the pirate:

Oooo I have a question...

Who is Bill W ? and how does he have so many friends??
