Do you make reservations or is it part of your rotation???

I'm not sure how they do it according to dining rotation, but I think they do it on a couple of different days. They'd have to since there are 3 dining rotations with two seatings each. In any case, your servers will be sure to tell you at dinner the night before when you're scheduled to show up. I think we also got "tickets" in our room to remind us the night before as well. You should have your regular dining room servers for that breakfast as well.

If your first night dinner starts with:

Animators the Character breakfast is Sunday
Lumieres the Character breakfast is Monday
Parrot the Character breakfast is Thursday

We went before they changed it. It used to be a regular character breakfast where the characters came to each table for a photo op and autographs. Now it is a dance party, I hear. I will not set the alarm and get up early for that. I'd probably get into trouble for pushing little kids out of the way so I could dance with the characters. It would not be pretty. I'll sleep in.

You go on an assigned day at an assigned time, depending on your rotation.

1 more question, (for now) if you can't wear shorts for dinner can we expect our luggage to be in our room before dinner is served if we have main seating

It usually is. Ours always has been, but some people take their first night dinner clothes in their carry on. We don't. If by chance our luggage is not there before dinner we will wear what we have on. No one will really care.

I have the 2004 deluxe version but we didn't get to go because we thought my son was going to have his heart surgery then and we decided that we would go in 2011 when the new ships were ready but coastgirl posted this awesome deal that we just couldn't pass up.
