Ask away.

We really love our DVC experience so far and wish we had done it sooner.

Let the questioning begin... :scared1:

1) Do the Anuual Dues or Maintenance Fees vary by what property you buy into?

2) What does it really matter which property you buy into as you can use any of them? I guess one thing is that you can book sooner, but is there anything else?

3) How much have the Annual Dues gone up over the life of your membership?

4) Is the DVC Member cruise cheaper for members or do they offer special perks? Using DVC points for a cruise doesn't seem to be that great of a deal compared to staying at a resort.

I am sure we will think of others but please let us know if we reach the harassment stage. :lmao:

Thanks Brack!

Stacy:

I know you are booked for the 12 Metre Regatta too. Have you done it before? We're kind of up in the air right now if we are going to keep that excursion booked. I don't want to be away from the ship/kids for too long. Cole is having separation anxiety right now when we try and leave him with strangers.:sad2:

:wave2: It is time for me to sign off for this evening. If Wendy gets on, I know I've been up too late. So, "Hi Wendy!" Sorry, I missed you this evening (morning for you!) I am actually getting some sleep this evening. :cloud9:

Until tomorrow. . .

I know you didn't ask me but I have a few answers for you.
Let the questioning begin... :scared1:

1) Do the Anuual Dues or Maintenance Fees vary by what property you buy into? YES

2) What does it really matter which property you buy into as you can use any of them? I guess one thing is that you can book sooner, but is there anything else? they have also different ending dates but the main reason is the booking window on the smaller resorts

3) How much have the Annual Dues gone up over the life of your membership? not very much, they actually went down one year but more than made up for it the next year.
4) Is the DVC Member cruise cheaper for members or do they offer special perks? Not cheaper, I believe it actually cost more than other cruises Using DVC points for a cruise doesn't seem to be that great of a deal compared to staying at a resort. Most will rent points and use the cash for the cruise
I am sure we will think of others but please let us know if we reach the harassment stage. :lmao:

We plan to do Coral World on our own taking a taxi from port. Then, playing at the beach next door (Coki Beach). You can rent a locker at Coral World to keep your valuables. Also, you can re-enter the park to use their facilities to change. There is a coupon on the Coral World website. A link is attached.

Thanks for saving us an extra $9
I  a good coupon.

Ok... where to start....

Favorite Disney movie: Beauty and the Beast

And that's why they lacquer Superman's hair down with the one pin curl... so it won't float in space like his cape.

I not only watch Frasier reruns on Lifetime, I TiVo them so I can do it without commercials!

So... yeah... I've read through the thread some and I've gotta say... you guys are all crazy. And it's kinda scaring me. But not enough to keep me from booking :lmao:

The problem is DH *siiiiiiigh* He's -this- close to saying yes, but he's a bit apprehensive cause he was a little bored on our second Disney cruise. He loved the first one. Or, maybe I loved the first one so much that I didn't care if he did or not. But, yeah...we were both less enthusiastic about the second :sad2:

So.. now I just gotta tell him things we can do! I know one of the shows is new since we last cruised (2005) and I'm trying to talk up the Christmas decorations angle but... you know... he's a guy. Anyone got anything for me? We loved Dueling Pianos way back when, but that's gone. I think he's mostly thinking of day time activities cause once you have the show and dinner at night, that's a good chunk.

Now I'm rambling. In any case, hopefully I'll be able to post tomorrow that we've booked this cruise!

just noticed that you have posted 666 times...........
well good luck!!! they have/had a super deal for Cat 12

I just posted a VENT on the regular boards..

I am so mad, upset, worried and I don't know what to do...

Remember the boy I was telling you about? DS's friend who's step dad attacked him Thursday...

Well............... he is back HOME

The reason.. Dyfus said his Grandparents have no rights to him or to keep him!! Hellooooo... MoM brought him to them... They didn't come in and take him.. Mom brought him to their house...

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Stacy,
For your own piece of mind, I'd suggest calling in social services. Right now the Step-Dad is on a power trip. He needs to know that someone is keeping an eye on him.

No, we have never done it before. We had friends that did it and Loved it. They highly reccomended it. Also in the Passporter it got a 10 out of 10 so we couldn't pass it up. DH *prior to me* :rolleyes1 and his ex-In Laws use to sail and race and since DH and I have been together he hasn't been on a Sailboat since :guilty: so I feel kinda guilty he gave it up for me and I thought this would be a Great excursion for him, especially if he can help. I've never been on a sailboat and I'm anxious to see what it's like. My dad always have smaller boats for fishing and stuff.

I called a hotline for Preventing child abuse and they send in a fax to Social Services. Right now it is all I can do. But, at least this means Dyfs has to go back and inspect the situation again. His Grandparents have also made some calls.

I should've read all the posts. I didn't understand that DYFS was a govt agency. Congrats on your 4th Pirate you wench! I'll update the blog after I get caught up on all these posts!

My guys will be five, 29 for me and we will just say 50+ for my mom.
Anyone doing any Excursions, was thinking about doing the Coral World, but don't know much of how to get there. I am anxiously awaiting my passporter.

Coastgirl we just booked when I read your post, couldn't pass up $599 per person with $125 on board credit per room, would have been 150 but my TA couldn't get the online booking to go through, she said it hardly ever works. We would have just missed you in '06 we checked out on Sat. morning and stayed for a few days near Sea World.

Glad to have your 50+ mom on board with us other 50+ cruisers!:woohoo: Lots of them are around your age also. :dance3:

So folks I am totally NOT crafty, and am wondering about the fish extender thing...given the "Secret Santa" thing (wanna play! wanna play!), would a Christmas stocking work? I'm working on a door sign (though only in my head so far ;) ), but I know a fish extender is beyond me...

Coast Girl we need your info for the Secret Mickey Exchange!!

We need to know your names, kids ages and cabin number so we can find you to put goodies in your stocking!
