I made it to Disneyland Paris a few years ago. I was only there for the day, but it was so interesting to see how different it was from the American parks. We were there in February and it actually snowed. That was strange! We also took Eurostar from London and I thought it was wonderful. I'm not used to having such wonderful public transportation in my part of the world so I really enjoyed getting around London and Paris so easily. My one major disappointment was that Space Mountain was closed while we were there. I guess I'll just have to go back!

Melissa

The Eurostar service is very good from London, now on new fast tracks all the way from Central London at a new £800 million station St Pancras, its great that the DLP station is actually in DLP, with the two parks and downtown Disney either side.

Some of the rides are actually better than the other Disney Parks, I feel Paris has the best Big thunder mountain as you go 'under' the lake twice. Space Mountain is more like Roll and roll rollacoaster, is on that track system rather than the MK/DLC one.

The weather is the issue, it can be cold.

Oooohhh, I see you're going on one of the West Coast cruises as well. I'm jealous! Let me know if you need any Disneyland planning advice!

Melissa

Do they still do the fantasmic dinner seating?

On our last cruise, we also did a 3pm Dis meet in front of Pluto's by the Mickey Pool. Someone in our group had ordered green silicone bracelets with our group name on them for everyone. So we introduced ourselves and got the bracelets, it was a little chaotic, but nice to put names and faces together. Also there was an adults only meet at Cove Cafe' on Monday. That was really nice, I think we met at 9 or 9:30am. It was about 15 people. :goodvibes

Eurostar to Paris is my absolute fave form of transport - soooo incredibly civilised! :worship: Hope to be spending a week in that lovely city very soon... :cloud9:

You definitely will, Melissa! :thumbsup2

We also had lime green wristbands in September 2007 - they made a wonderful souvenir! We should definitely do that - I think they cost $1.50 each... :thumbsup2

Another excellent idea! :goodvibes

Apart from needing the 19 months or so to pay for it :scared1: , I would love for it to be happening asap... :goodvibes

Yes I normally pay the cruises up well in advance, the Panama cruise was paid up by March 07, but I had to pay for flights in October, that was more expensive, I have put on a stateroom credit on the Panama now as well as paid of Disneyland CL, (And DLP).

I just put a deposit down on an Orlando Villa for 2009, and of course this cruise, I was tempted to pay up more as the dollar pound has been good but has started to slide back now, but there is a limit, and paying up a Holiday for 2009,before this summer doesn't make too much sense.

I think I will ned deposit for a Virgin holiday by March to wrap around the 09 Holiday and cruise, and then play about with shore trips for this summer.

The reason to go go to DLP (Well there are two)

1/ I wanted to go Eurostar form the new London terminal, thats More important to me than DLP.

2/ I was trying to do three Disney parks in one year, I have Paris and Anaheim booked, I will be in Orlando on Monday 1st, not sure if I can get up to MK?

...I'm still chuckling about this... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We were too but didn't get organised enough, which is a shame as DH thinks the pound is likely to continue to weaken against the dollar... Ah well - you win some, you lose some.. :rolleyes1

Our interest rates could fall on Thursday and so the exchange rate will weaken

Looks fab doesn't it?!! :thumbsup2 We were supposed to go from there in November for DH's birthday but a combination of a sick dog and strikes in Paris meant we had to cancel. :sad2:

Wow!!! Good luck with that!!! :cool1:

As we are on chuckles,

There was a family going on a Disney cruise,

Two adults and two kids a boy and a girl,

on arrival on the ship, Mum and Daughter go off for a bite to eat,

Boy aged 8, asks dad a question,

Dad,! What is it called when someone sleeps on-top of another person?

Dad, thinking his boy is growing up fast, feels its time to explain the birds and the bee's and tells him about mums and dads.

Later, after joining mum to eat, he comes back,

He says,

Mum says its called ''bunk beds'' and she wants a word with you.

<H1> Since we are in a joking mood today. Here's another one.

Two men are sitting at a bar, slowly sipping their drinks.
After a while, the first man approaches the other man, and sits next to him. "This place is great, isn't it?" he asks.
The second man, somewhat surprised at the stranger's remark, replies, "Why do you say that?"
The first man, in a low tone of voice, responds, "Follow me." The two of them walk over to a large window at the end of the room. The window faces out onto the street, 12 floors below.
"Here's why." The first man throws open the window, and boldly steps out into thin air. But he remains aloft!
"The air currents are great here!" he exclaims. "It's very relaxing."
He floats back into the room. As his feet return to the bar-room floor, he invites the second man to try it.
The second man, skeptical, peers out through the window - down to the pavement twelve stories below. He looks to either side, and finally up above, to see if there was anything holding the first man up.
Convinced that it was no trickery, the second man swallows, closes his eyes, and steps out into thin air. He promptly falls twelve stories to the pavement below.
The first man grins and returns to the bar. Looking rather irritated, the barkeep comes over to the place where the man sits.
"You know," he says, disgusted. "You're a real jerk when you're drunk, Superman."
