SUCCESS! We figured out the Transformer! He loves it in the car mode so he pushes it around the house with the horn honking, music playing.

My kids don't go back until Monday the 7th. I think that's silly because most schools around here go back on the 2nd or 3rd. Also we will most likely have to make up snow days at the end of the year. It'd be nicer for them to have a shorter winter break and get out of school as normally scheduled at the end of the year.

It was a hit Christmas around here! :rotfl: The kids say it's the best one ever. DH and I don't do much for eachother. But as my sister-in-law opened up a beautiful gold and diamond necklace, I reminded DH that our 10 year anniversary is coming up. :rotfl: I don't think he'll get the hint!

Thanks, There is just something about Tiggers, what a pain getting it down to the right kb's

When DS was a baby I'd sing him Tigger's song to make him laugh. Now he yells at me and tells me to stop when I am being goofy and singing! Around here, Tigger is a favorite.

Since it is getting to be that dreaded time of the year........................ who is making new year's resolutions, and if you don't mind sharing them, what are they? Have you been successful in years past with resolutions?

My big ones are getting my credit card paid off by the end of 2008 and getting more organized at home! Then there is always the work out more/lose weight one. That is carved in stone for me so I don't expect this year will be any different than any other year! Also I must not procrastinate as much!! I always put things off until the last minute, unless it's something I am super interested in. I guess I've just revealed some of my flaws!

OK, one more post then I'll stop!! Since 2007 is almost over, what moments/events will make 2007 stand out most to you? This could be a good way to get to know eachother more.

-My first Disney cruise! (by far the highlight of my year)
-My first tattoo (generally not a big deal but for me it was)
-DS being diagnosed with ADD and struggling to figure out how to deal with this. And boy are we still struggling.

Other than that, my 2007 was quite uneventful. And uneventful can definitely be a good thing!

Here you go, a cruise pillow for your Mexican Rivera cruise

That was cute! :rotfl2: We may need a bunch of them!

the moments/events that will make 2007 stand out more to me was:

-when i celebrated my sweet 16 in walt disney world and first time on the the disney wonder this past august
-passing my permit test!!! it was today actually :rotfl:
-last but not least, making it into a high school for the arts(its a school called Long Island High School for the Arts and they have art, dance, drama, musical theater, and film) i go there for dance and so far its the best thing ever. i go to 2 high schools in one day :lmao:

thats about it lol

Melissa-

Even though I am working I love school break because it means no homework with the kids!!! :woohoo: Are you doing anything fun with your time off or just enjoying the break?

Thanks for asking! I have had a wonderful break so far. I spent five days at Disney World last week, now I am just finishing up a week-long visit with my parents in San Diego, then my university classes for my master's degree start back up on the 2nd and back to work on the 7th! We get three weeks off in my district and the extra week makes a world of difference. I hope you are enjoying the homework-free time with the kids!

Melissa

...who is making new year's resolutions, and if you don't mind sharing them, what are they?

Great question, Abby! :thumbsup2 Mmmm, New Year's Resolutions, eh..?

1) Weight loss - to get back to my target weight AND STAY THERE!!! I made it for approximately 2 weeks this year but the Anniversary cruise and the DDP sent me soaring way off! :rotfl2:

2) Go back to Uni - I've got a place to study for a degree in Psychology and Criminology starting in September 2008 so I really mustn't get cold feet and opt out of that...

3) Not to waste money... ;)

4) Be more eco-conscientious... :thumbsup2

5) Make further progress renovating our house - in 2007 nothing happened in this area and we really need to get the bit between our teeth again. So bring on the builders... :scared1:

I'm sure there's more but that'll do for now...

...Since 2007 is almost over, what moments/events will make 2007 stand out most to you? This could be a good way to get to know eachother more...

My most memorable moment of 2007 was celebrating twenty five years of marriage and renewing our vows on the Magic. :cloud9: There isn't a day goes by when I don't remember that wonderful occasion...

Also right up there, is my middle child, Matt, graduating from uni and getting his first job!!! :woohoo: Like it says in my tag - t'was a happy day... :goodvibes

I made a new year's resolution about 20 year's ago, to never make any new year's resolution. So far I have kept that one :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Highlights of 2007,

Now thats a tough one, 2007 was more of an average year than one with highlights.

I survived another year at work,

I turned 50 this year.
I just got my AARP card (funny I don't feel old) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Another year in debt,
I got the cast and Brace off my leg from when I fell down the stairs at the end of 2006.

The vacation at the Beach club villas was almost a highlight, but my dw was sick most of the time.
The same goes for the cabin we rented in Aug in the Pocono's.

Not really a great year, nor a bad year, We are all feeling well. We made it another year, and the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train coming this way. ( I hope that wasn't a train whistle I just heard) :rotfl2:

All in all I'm glad to make it out alive in 2007

Here's to 2008 :dancer:

As you can see 2007 wasn't great, but it wasn't all that Bad either.

My DD turned 10.
She joined the school's Band and is in the choir

Living close to NYC we went to Broadway a few times and saw

Wicked
Mary Poppins
Mamma Mia
Grease
Hairspray
Radio City Christmas show

We have tickets to see High School Musical on ICE next month (it's a surprise for my dd.)
