OK, one more post then I'll stop!! Since 2007 is almost over, what moments/events will make 2007 stand out most to you? This could be a good way to get to know each other more.

-My first Disney cruise! (by far the highlight of my year)
-My first tattoo (generally not a big deal but for me it was)
-DS being diagnosed with ADD and struggling to figure out how to deal with this. And boy are we still struggling.

Other than that, my 2007 was quite uneventful. And uneventful can definitely be a good thing!

My highlight of 2007 has to be a week in Barcelona followed by a 11 night Med cruise on the Magic, going to Rome a private tour of the Vatican, Florence and a tour of Pisa and climbing the tower, Monte Carlo, and the other posts.

Would add the people on that cruise thread were the nicest people ever, a great thread with so many people taking part, and they were all so nice on the cruise as well, hope we will also be so good!

Based on the quick start this thread has gotten, and the people signed up, here and elsewhere I am certain this will be a great group too.

Abby,

Hope you have a nice weekend. It was GREAT speaking with you last night. Thanks for checking in on me.......Your too kind..

Can't wait - such a great opportunity to escape the in-laws... ;)

Thought you might like this one.
The Surgery

A married couple was in a terrible accident where the woman's face was severely burned. The doctor told the husband that they couldn't graft any skin from her body because she was too skinny. So the husband offered to donate some of his own skin.
However, the only skin on his body that the doctor felt was suitable would have to come from his buttocks.
The husband and wife agreed that they would tell no one about where the skin came from, and requested that the doctor also honor their secret. After all, this was a very delicate matter.
After the surgery was completed, everyone was astounded at the woman's new beauty. She looked more beautiful than she ever had before! All her friends and relatives just went on and on about her youthful beauty!
One day, she was alone with her husband, and she was overcome with emotion at his sacrifice. She said, "Dear, I just want to thank you for everything you did for me. How can I possibly repay you?"
"My darling," he replied, "I get all the thanks I need every time I see your mother kiss you on the cheek."

I am so nervous talking to "new" people so I hope I wasn't a bumbling fool. :lmao: But you are very easy to talk to and it was nice!! I really hope by this weekend you are feeling better.

:rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh!! I'm feeling rather pukey right now so am in need of some humor!

Thanks Abby,

No did not get much sleep today. Have a bad headache. My brother who is a dr. said it is the gas, and anesthisia coming out of me ~~giving me the headache...The meds. seem to help just feel really achy today...The dr. told me the third day after would be the worst. Not sure why but I am very black and blue today and swollen....

How was your day??

But on a positiv note. DH met with our contractor today and looks like we are going to go ahead and put the four seasons room onto our house. We have a few things to iron out with him and the plans once I feeel better. The room is going to be right off the back of hours. So when the kids come in from the pool there will be a bathroom and my washer and dryer right off the room as well so the pool mess will not be "dragged." through the entire house. We also will be adding on above the room and putting a huge master bath onto our master bedroom....So that is something to look foward too...

It's weird that it takes a few days for the full effects to hit your body. But the positive side of that (if there is one) is that tomorrow should be better, and the day after....... And thank goodness your original date got pushed back. This would be no way to spend Christmas.

The home renovations sound great!!! That'll be something pretty big to look forward to this year. Are you going to do before, during, and after pictures? Do you scrapbook?

My day was OK. I officially made it a second year in a row without calling in sick to work. We get a bonus at the end of each year for every quarter we don't call in, and I very rarely am sick. But as luck would have it, I feel like I am going to be sick any minute!! Ah well. We have no plans until Monday night. Last year I was one of only a few who got all 4 quarters and this year I do believe I am the only one. I think that calls for an extra bonus.

A fellow bought a new Mercedes and was out on an interstate road for a nice evening drive. The top was down, the breeze was blowing through his hair and he decided to open her up. As the needle jumped up to 80mph, he suddenly saw a flashing red and blue light behind him.

"There ain't no way they can catch a Mercedes," he thought to himself, and opened her up further.
The needle hit 90, 100 110 and finally 120 with the lights still behind him.
"What on earth am I doing?" he thought and pulled over. The cop came up to him, took his licence without a word and examined it and the car.
"I've had a tough shift and this is my last pull over. I dont feel like more paperwork so if you can give me an excuse for your driving that I havent heard before you can go!"
"Last week my wife ran off with a cop," the man said, "and I was afraid you were trying to give her back!"
"Have a nice night," said the officer.

Bonus will be going to credit card. It's not much of a bonus but any bonus is a good one! I'm feeling a bit better this morning but I am canceling my plans for the day.

I have tried to scrapbook for years but just like you, it's so hard to keep up with!! The only time I ever get any done is when I go away for a weekend retreat, usually a couple of times a year. I went in Nov and got the first two days of our cruise done. :rotfl2: At this rate it'll take me until the next cruise to finish. I did see a demo of Creative Memories' digital program and am interested in doing that. Have you completed any digital ones yet or are they still works in progress?

Feel better today!!

Ooohh fellow scrapbookers :) I know what you mean about it being hard to keep up - I run an online scrapbook supplies store here in the UK with my Mum so it is doubly hard to keep up now! My WDW 2004 album is so far from done that it isn't funny!!!

I have been madly trying to get my daughters albums a little bit more up to date so that when this next new arrival comes along I can try and keep on top of getting the pictures scrapped!

Lots of my friends like digital scrapbooking so maybe thats the way to go for you - I can't really get on with digital, I enjoy the physical cutting and sticking and arranging too much to give up my paper and cardstock!!

Anyway, I hope those of you on this thread who are either sik \ feeling like they are going to get ill or recovering from ops are all feeling a little better soon.

Mel-

If it makes you feel any better, my son's album is only done until the time we brought him home from the hospital and my daughter's is when she was six months old. :rotfl: And I got my wedding album done but not the reception. I am queen of unifinished scrapbooking projects!

Digital might be the perfect way for me to go because I have a terrible time coming up with layout color ideas and combinations.

Have you been back to your doctor recently? I'm thinking about you, hoping the baby decides to come soon!
