Well, you Nor'Easters are gonna hate me for this, but we hit record highs today in the low 80's!!!
The previous high was only 75F. This is unseasonably warm for us; I think we'd typically be in the low 50s right now.
Here in Southern Virginia (Va. Beach area), we "might" get one snowfall a year, but even IF it sticks it is gone by the next day.
I grew up in NY, and spent many years living in MA (from Boston to Cape Cod and back!), so was glad to come down to the warmer climes of Virginia!
Oh, and yes, Kaz, Josh would love to get to know your son before the cruise! He is in midterm exams for the next week, and, due to that and some less than mom-pleasing school performances recently, is currently on computer restriction, but after that it's fair game!
Josh has sailed the Magic twice and just loves Disney cruising. He also participates on the teen Dis boards - how 'bout your son?
re: SSR - I just returned from there! It was Wonderful!!! I would definitely love to stay there again.
Note though that the water taxi doesn't leave until after 11 for Downtown Disney; before then, you need to take the shuttle bus.
My mom and friend Pat boarded the water taxi/ferry at SSR last week (the driver said "are you going to DD?") and eventually they realized it wasn't the ferry at all, but just a guy who had rented a pontoon boat for the afternoon!
He even stopped to pick up a few others along the way!
Talk about getting ahead of yourself...
