 ....WOW....What a busy little group we are...lol...:surfweb:
5 pages already....WELL DONE...:thumbsup2

This is already a more active thread than our Mexican Riviera one for next August...:goodvibes

Hi...Yes it does look like we are on the same two cruises! :yay:...
Can't wait to meet you... :)

...We have 2nd seating for dinner for both cruises. I had first but switched, since I do not want to be in a hurry to get ready for dinner and after our cruise this past summer the late worked out fine...

Same here - I love relaxing over dinner... :cloud9:

i have put a request for PLA dining rotation - we are on main dining as we will have two small children with us - I loved late dining when I cruised with DCL before but it was just DH and I so I guess the early might work better for us this time.

I called last night and put the PLA request in too. Now I just need to work on which cabin I want! Also when I called, I asked about the CC $50 OBC for booking by Dec. 10th and she said I did not qualify because it would be double dipping since we already had the $200 rebooking OBC. Does Dreams' $100 OBC interfere with the $200 rebooking OBC?

I've also requested this rotation with my TA - it seems to work brilliantly so fingers crossed we get it. :thumbsup2 Seems strange, but I'm now more organised for this trip than next summer's Mexican Riviera as I have no idea of that dining schedule...

We are on board too with extended family. There will be at least 11 of us.

It looks like some of our friends from the Med Cruise (7/28) are here?

We also did Mexico when the Magic was here last and are in the area if you have questions.

I like this new Eastern plan because of the three at sea days.

I am so looking forward to taking advantage of what for us will be a longer cruise (only done 3 nights on DCL) and enjoying the ships facilities.

Very envious of your Med Cruise - we will definitely be booking next time a DCL ship comes to Europe, we cruised in the Med for our honeymoon which was lovely but on a ship that doesn't shape up to the DCL liners in anyway!

I called and put in our PLA request as well, we had it on our other Eastern and liked that rotation. :goodvibes

Yes I loved the 7/28 Med cruise:thumbsup2

The agent I used at Dreams (Sue Ellen) told me I'd get it all - the 200 for booking onboard, the CC for booking before Dec. 10 and the Dreams 100. Hope she wasn't mistaken but if so, the 50 is not as big a deal as the other two.

When I call DCL to check they said I had both, the 200 OBC and I got the 50 OBC, and 10% discount for when I rebooked on board.

I used a TA once, but I like having Total control over my reservation, so I Book my own now.

Hey Everyone,

Question:
Are we going to start a deal where we can list everyone later cabins and kids?

We will be on Deck 7 - one Cat.7 and one Cat.11
we also have Early dine.
we have my mom going also with us.
We have 2 boys one at the time of sailing will be age 6 and the other will be age 9. Wow that is odd saying that since one just turned 5 and the other is still 7. Crazy:eek: :rotfl:
My DH has been wanting to go on Eastern and it has just never worked out so he is really happy to on this! As we all are. :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1: :thumbsup2

Are we going to make a fun name for our group!! Or have you all already??

stateroom Are we going to make a fun name for our group!! Or have you all already??

Hi there!

We're getting quite a group together already! :thumbsup2 A fun name would be cool - anyone inspired??! :goodvibes

I think I've already mentioned that our little band of cruisers are me (Karen), DH (Richard) and DS (Samuel) who will be an astoundingly mature 16 at the time of cruising! I'm trying to persuade my DD and her partner to join us which would be fab tho' I won't hold my breath... :cool1:

We're currently in a Cat 4 on Deck 8 aft but I can't guarantee I won't beg, steal and borrow to upgrade to a Cat 3 - we had stateroom 8602 in September and lurved it...

Good ideas! Should be think of a name with Tortola in it somehow? :) And I am having a very difficult time remembering right off how old my kids will be on this cruise! DS will be 9 and DD will be 7.

I talked to DH tonight about transferring to Dreams. I do need to let the TA who booked our last cruise know why we aren't using her again though. She is an acquaintenance and I already had our entire res planned, just gave her the res so she'd get commission. But this time I want to get as much OBC as I can.

Did you book with the Disney Visa too? I'm thinking it's possible to get as much as $400 OBC between re-booking on-board, Disney Visa, Dreams, and the CC OBC.

When I did the original re-booking on board on the double dip cruise in 2006 I used the Disney Visa for the re-booking, All I had to do was transfer my reservation again, I originally had booked a hold date in Dec 2007, That was then re-booked to the 2008 Mexican Rivera cruise, which I just transferred to this cruise. We really wanted to do another 7 day Caribbean cruise, when this one was posted it fit the bill. That and the sail date Aug 15th is my 52nd Bday.

Great idea, will have a think. There will be the three of us on this cruise - me, my ds Tom who will be 17 and my dd Sophie who will be 15. We are in Cat 7, late dining.

I wish we could get a Disney Visa, but at the moment it's only available to US residents as far as I know.
Your 52nd Bday is a very good reason to take a cruise!

Wow! You must have had acres of space in one of those aft cabins, Karen, with the huge verandah. We stayed in a Cat 3 next to the Disney Suite which was gorgeous (and the pull down bed was in the sitting room), but then we stayed in a Cat 3 aft - the sitting room was much smaller and the pull down bed was in the bedroom - so if you get the chance to upgrade, I'd avoid those.

We did the great list of names cabins etc for the Med cruise and also there is one for my Panama in 08, so its a great idea, we need some format and then I could post these on the first post.

It would be good for

Names and ages
Location
Cat
main/late dinner
How many cruises
pre/post stay

If they are all done in the same format they could be cut and posted into the first post.

I would suggest we hold back on a name for a while, as the cruise only was released this week, firstly to allow as many people as possible to find the thread, by a search, and secondly it would be nice to include as many as possible with the discussion of the name, Thoughts?

I think as word gets out more will join us within weeks
