Thanks! :thumbsup2 I'll check it out...

Well I've just upgraded my cat 11 to a cat 9 so I feel a lot better about that :)

Any one else booked this cruise yet

Oh I am glad, Jakki! :thumbsup2 DD and I first cruised in a Cat 9 on Deck 2 and had a great time - plus that split bathroom is so useful... :goodvibes

My group is now up to 14 people - my parents booked last night too. So we are now 8 adults, DD 14, DNephew 13, DS 11, DNeice 9, D Nephew 8 and DNeice 6

And got a copy of the 2009 school calendar and no conflict at all - since DD will start High School 2 days AFTER we get back.

Thanks for that :goodvibes

We'll be in Orlando before and for a few days after. We usually go for 4 weeks so we'll probably fly during the last week of July and fly home mid week after the cruise. We'll stay a mix of DVC (including Vero) and off site, probably in a villa
Mine will be 11 & 12
We've got main too and thanks for the tip to request a rotation

Cost was a factor for us so we've gone for a cat 11. We're in a cat 6 for our first 3 night cruise next August and I really hope we won't be disappointed :scared1: I'm worried about motion sickness and wanted to stick to the middle of the ship so that ruled out the SPH rooms.

Has any one gone from a veranda to an inside room and not been disapointed
I love my verandah with sea days important so I always go for a Cat 4 we can set up a kids introduction nearer the cruise, age wish etc it works well.

.

That'd be great. My dd9 (she'll be nearly 11 on this cruise) had the best time on the second cruise when she 'met' a friend here and hooked up with her on day one at our meet. They still keep in touch and we visit with them when we go to WDW since they live in the area.

So has everyone got the$50 castaway club obc and if you booked with Dreams their discount as well?

I need to call and check. I didn't know about the $50 OBC until after I booked, and I don't have my CC# yet. After I get everything in place I may transfer my res to Dreams. Haven't decided yet. I used another TA for the last cruise but there was no OBC or anything from her. And I never dreamed our on-board account would add up so much! How long is the Dreams current OBC in effect?

That'll be fun! My sister, her DH and two daughters went with us in Oct. I am trying to talk them into joining us in 2009, as well as our other sister and her boyfriend and son. It's more fun to travel with other people!

My kids have had penfriends on most of the DCL cruises they have always met up early and its helped them in the kids club, Although with a cruise in 08 it will be best to start nearer the time.

I used Dreams they are good, also on follow up service, the CC OBC is only for a short time, Dreams look at there site I think until end of the month.

I agree re the penpals. Gotta be a lot closer to the cruise. On the cruise we just came off of (Nov. 24 eastern) DD hooked up with a girl way too early. By the time the cruise rolled around they didn't have anything to say to one another and ended up ignoring each other the first five days and didn't make nice until the last day on Castaway Cay.

I wish I could say the same for Dreams. Have tried to use them 3 times. It may stick this time but it has been a struggle. I guess you have to get the right agent.

 ....WOW....What a busy little group we are...lol...:surfweb:
5 pages already....WELL DONE...:thumbsup2

I guess you'd want PLA then - actually I rather hope that's what we get... ;)

What seating does everyone have?

Hi...Yes it does look like we are on the same two cruises! :yay: We have 2nd seating for dinner for both cruises. I had first but switched, since I do not want to be in a hurry to get ready for dinner and after our cruise this past summer the late worked out fine...

It it going to take forever for August to get here...

i have put a request for PLA dining rotation - we are on main dining as we will have two small children with us - I loved late dining when I cruised with DCL before but it was just DH and I so I guess the early might work better for us this time.
