Not weird at all!!! Very smart in fact. I need to do that for our kitchen. We are just re-doing flooring/painting/theme. I already know what color flooring and paint I want but I'm having a terrible time with the theme. I've never been a theme person because I can't seem to pull anything together myself but it can look so gorgeous! I was thinking some thing Tuscan. I also need to figure paint/flooring for our bedroom. We have a framed picture of the 16th hole at Cypress Country Club that we are doing the room around. But colors are killing me!!

Tuscan sounds nice......I bet it will look sooo nice....

WHat colors are you thinking of???

I've been naughty this morning ... instead of catching some ZZZs I've been surfing lodging sites as we're planning a little gathering for snow and skiing in the local mountians out here. So - my rest this evening has been broken up and now -I'll roll over and turn back in.

Adios, folks...

Have a great ski trip.

Karen,

Do you like the heated floors????????!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about this Harry. We (me, my DH, his brother and wife) are utterly convinced my father in law is not from this world. :rotfl: Gotta love him but he is unique for sure. :lmao: There is so much mystery surrounding him. No family, very little known about his past. It's like he was dropped from a ship here! ;) We love him anyway!

Some day we are all going to be surprised when the "MotherShip" comes for the special ones :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sounds good! :thumbsup2 My DH wants to try and get some ski action before the end of the season - not looking possible at the moment...

I went sking only once, I was with some experienced skiers, and when one of them broke their leg, that was it for me. Never again :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Karen,

Yes, very much! The conservatory is the room the dogs have to stay in when they're muddy/wet and the underfloor heating dries them out beautifully. ;) I find the heat very controllable and, despite it being a glass-roofed room, it's warm and cozy... :thumbsup2

I've never taken to it - the rest of the family love skiing tho'!!!

I'm almost Ketchup, took some time this AM to make Blueberry muffins from breakfast. I luv my new kitchenaid mixer.

Yum!! OH I am so unbelievably jealous!!!!! I have been wanting a Kitchen Aid mixer for so long but just can't part with the money yet. I'm thinking birthday this year..... What kinds of things do you use it for? (I'd probably be making cookie dough out the wazoo)

I use mine for everything. Cakes, cookies, etc.........!!!!!!!!!!!

We have light honey oak cabinets so I'm thinking floor to match and a butter yellow for the walls. Our appliances are white. The guy who had this house before us put light blue carpet, light blue walls and light blue counters in this kitchen. I have no clue why anyone puts carpet in kitchens!! We can't get rid of it until the dog is gone because he can't walk on flooring. He falls alot on our entry floor. And the carpet looks terrible. No amount of cleaning ever makes it look good. And when the carpet is gone I want the countertops to be replaced too. (DH doesn't know this yet. :rotfl: )

That would turn me off from it too. I went once with some friends and the bunny hill terrified me. :rotfl: So never again. I'll tube but never again ski. I'm just not that coordinated. :) My DH used to go glacier skiing in Europe. :scared1:
