Hope everyone got out today! Nothing cures the winter doldrums like getting out and getting some fresh air in my opinion.

Out shopping all day - doing our best to jump start the economy! Grabbed dinner as well.

Anyone have exciting plans this evening?

Just finshed the home made pizza, Family is watching Ratatouille

Ever wonder why teachers and parents continue to insist on overloading kids with homework when there are no definitive studies proving its overall learning benefits?

We're being entertained by DD right now.... after belting out her rendition of Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" she's doing the Cha Cha Slide in our kitchen.... On iChat people think I have quite an array of musical tastes!!

I do wonder why as a former teacher it drives me nuts the amount of homework that comes home for these kids............

That must be cute, She'll be a Great dancer by the time the cruise comes along she will certainly be able to entertain us all.......................

Well, when we get our private dining room on the ship it won't matter anyway.

We also let my Jordan (my DD) unwind a bit when she gets home too. A snack, maybe some TV. She is still in a daycare preschool, but has homework and everything too. I know when I get home from work, I like to unwind for a few minutes too.

That's what we do too. Gwynne could handle homework right after school but Hayden needs down time and a break from the work. We usually do homework after dinner, unless we have to be somewhere, then we do it before.

Just got back from dinner and a drink...YUM YUM!!!!!!!!!!

I am beat and achy now. Tomorrow I am going to stay in jammies all day...LOL!!!!!!!!

Glad you got out for a change Kristin! We decided to brave the cold and go out to dinner, and I got my iPod. Now if I can just figure this thing out. We got home a few minutes ago and I am still cold. Tonight without windchill it's supposed to be -8. But I'm glad we aren't further north like so many of you!

I felt funny to be out it had been sooo very looong. Since Christmas Eve..........But since I contracted that icky infection it set me really back further.

My step-mom has been a K-1st-2nd grade teacher for 33 years and she is so anti-homework. She says that IF she does give homework, she only gives half of what the other teachers give. DS needs homework while DD does not, at this point.

Sitting here making some winter plans..... looking for tickets for the IMAX U2-3D movie that opens next week in Philly.... Also, two new exhibits open at The Franklin Institute next month - "Real Pirates" and "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination". Both seem very cool.
